Great video thank u!!!! After designing an animation on after effect , what format do they have to be exported to website? ( like scroll animations , parallax effects, text effects etc)
+The Post Color Blog (Dave's Tuts) Thanks a bunch sir! Very much appreciate your comment. All the best and I look forward to more videos from you as well :)
I tried to do a long flickr album website like 4000 x 24000 px. My computer got to slow down when I tried to edit. Do you have any idea how can I do this?
Thanks for this AMAZING Tutorial. I have been messing around making animating websites REALLY hard work...you have just totally streamlined my process!!...Thanks again!
This might help speed the process up. If you are using firefox browser it has a builit in Full Page Screenshot feature in the developer toolbar. Just hit Shift+F2 to open the developer toolbar, then type in screenshot --fullpage and hit enter....BOOM!!
Really cool idea! I was a bit mislead by the title, I thought you were going to kinda export animations to gifs for a 90s website hehe. If you use Chrome you can use an extension called Full Page Screen Capture to speed up the process of capturing the website. I'm trying to recreate the whole intro show to practice and I have a few questions for the effects: Is there motion blur added? For the 0:44 page turn transition do you create a 3d "2-faced-plane" composition and turn it around or just jump from a comp to another starting both at 90º degrees? Keep up the good work, I really like your style and simplicity.
+110% SKI Good to know about the Full Page extension for Chrome! I will definitely have to use that next time! Yes, I added a motion blur, but you can easily turn that off. For the 3D rotating page turn transition, it just jumps from one comp to another yes. The one comp rotates 90º, then it cuts to the other one in a different comp. But technically, you don't have to do it that way. I was just making it easier on anyone who chooses to download the free project files. You could essentially do the while transition in the same comp. Thanks a bunch for the comment, I'll keep them coming. :)
Thank you so much, Kevin. And thank you a lot too, 110% SKI. I followed Kevin and screenshotted my websites. But mine has dark lines at the joints. They are not seamless! I was trying to read the comments to see if someone else has come across the same problem. Then I found your comment. The Chrome extension called Full Page Screen Capture is brilliant. Now my problem is fixed! Thank you again, both Kevin and 110% SKI. All the best to you!
I'm pretty new to after effects but I think I can do this. You said at the beginning of the video that this is assuming that you know how to do a screencast or a video recording of your screen. But I don't understand how we can get the final product if it has video backgrounds in the page. This tutorial shows with a screen shot of the whole page , which is necessary for the scroll. Basically, I just want to be able to scroll through web pages that have videos playing on them and in the background… Am I missing something? Either way, thank you for the tutorial. 'Twas awesome!
Dude, I'm sorry! I originally watched it at 2x speed and didn't catch all the details. I just rewatch the beginning and you explained that you were going to show everything and that we can do this using a screen cast video capture screen thingy…
Looks like it was made with a couple layers of Plexus, (one in solid triangular mode and one in wireframe mode) and some simple animation built into after effects.

Is that his real hair?
youGAME weHACK no it's fake. I rotoscoped it in After Effects frame by frame. Grueling but worth it when I see comments like yours questioning it.
xDDDDDDDDDDDDDD Your answer has made me laugh a lot but I suspect (that having your hair) you must have many rehearsed answers too :P
You did a better job than superman's mustache

How you do this animation on 0:00 and 0:05?
Honestly I used Videohive.net for that. Time = money. Videohive is your best friend in video production. ;)
And does not there even exist a free program?
Peter Bilka no sir.
Looks like it was made with a couple layers of Plexus, (one in solid triangular mode and one in wireframe mode) and some simple animation built into after effects.
My friend used after affects
Saw all that free stuff, instantly subscribed
