I'm a beginner in the world of lock picking but don't mind spending some money on an nice, professional lock picking set right off the bat...I usually like to jump in with both feet. When I get into something I get into it lol.
With that said, would rather buy 1 nice set of picks rather than buy a beginner set only to find I need to buy a 'professional' set later. Would the Vorax be one of those professional sets? If not would you recommend one to me?
Ohh and I forgot to mention, I live in Florida...so I think ill be encountering mostly american locks (aka not euros)

+John Michael Hinson Then the Vorax will be an excellent kit. Go ahead and order a couple of extra rakes, because new pickers ALWAYS break a couple while learning.

Can you make a review or just give me feedback on the Wizwazzle Pro Set it is much cheaper than the other and i was wondering if the quality is still the same
If I were you I'd go for the Monstrum XXL. Sure it's expensive,but it has just about everything you'll need-aside from locks of course. Also, buy lots of cheapo locks (Preferably not rusty/used ones as they're significantly harder to open) Best of luck man, I know when I just started it was a painful process (at first) but as I got better it really started to get fun. Be patient and you'll learn an awesome new skill. :-)

I'm so thrilled to see how Bill has helped the Locksport/lockmithing community reach more people. You're the MAN, Bill.
I got the vorax set when it first came out and I still use it for all locks with wide open keyways. So I also ordered a slimline set, and single picks of the .015 as when you need a skinny pick the .015 is the best to reach for. But I did go over budget on my picks but I also haven't had to get more multiple times.
I highly recommend this set to any picker.
The guy under the dragon on that pick is a samurai reaching for his sword next to a pond.

Love Sparrows Lock Picks.
Hate Sparrows customer service.
Don't expect too much. In an email exchange it was quite clear that once the goods were shipped, they were not interested in helping any further.
I've had the opposite experience. They immediately emailed back. Corrected a mistake and even threw in a dark shift kit Bogota rake I had broken. Maybe because I'm so close to the seller or maybe they've upped their customer service game.
Also had a positive CS experience with Sparrows. Very responsive to emails, generous in helping me sort out a mistake I made when ordering.
I have to disagree completely. I found customer service to be prompt and efficient. They replaced a pick that I bent for free.
Maybe they were having a bad day

What a coincidence. Watching this video after some pandiculation and a strong cup o' coffee. Admired this set, myself, but I was new at the time and simply ordered the Tuxedo.

I was looking at their Monstrum set, I dont like the fact that is has about 22 wrenches in it. Thats just ridiculous. But this one looks ok.

@@dakoitwuther7181 I'm not sure if this is the official reason, BUT it does make sense.
However, I'd like to propose an alternate use: The knob allows you to feel which direction the pick is oriented in the dark.
We see this with knives sometimes where there is a hole or a notch in the blade to help you remember which side of the blade you want to be using.
I have never experienced Pandiculation while watching your videos. kudos & keep them coming. Goodluck with the new Locklab website.

I've been picking locks for fun for many years, no thieving. Just ordered the VORAX set last week. I have several no key locks, Yale 6 pin, Best 7 pin....
Very interesting, these PICK !!! I'm a locksmith who sees your videos from Spain and every time I like more, never stop learning something new.

It's a real stretch and yawn (pandiculation) to put in a bid for this kit. It is very nice set and there is no "pendiculation" at all when I watching Your videos and learning how to lockpick some 'old garbage' with very basic handmade tools from windshield wiper :-)
On the other hand it is very useful to know, what is really important when you buy some locks for secure your family and privacy.

Watching this on my break at work, almost midnight and i cant stop pandiculating!
Intense workout is often followed by Pandiculation. I also love rakes ;).
I had to send a couple of emails to Storm for them to process my order, about a year ago.
It took some time, but Scott Rendell, their CEO, took care of the matter and it came my way in the end. Here I was one morning, right in the middle of some pandiculation, when the postman rang at the door with my package. Even got some freebies for my troubles :)

The RAKES! are nice. Just starting out, enjoying learning but often spend a lot of time picking for hours. Then comes pandiculation...
That bump on the sand man stops it from going too far into the keyway. So it doesn't go into the back and get stuck.

Wow. As a beginner, I've got the Sparrows Tuxedo, and now the Vorax. The tuxedo is a great set, from my inexperienced view, but there's something about that slightly larger handle of the vorax picks, that just makes it so much better. With the thin tuxedo picks, I can slug my way through a 4 standard pinned lock, but I can manage a 3 standards and a spool no problem with the vorax picks. Either way, I'm hooked.... no pun intended.
