I live in the town in the UK where the original Royal Enfield was made. It's a history that we're very proud of. The BSA was also manufactured here for a while too. The tooling for Enfield was purchased and production moved to India. I'm sad we lost our Royal Enfield motorcycles but glad it's still being made. These Indian Royal Enfield motorcycles are being sold in the UK now. We had an sales exhibition in our town due to the historical links.

I bought a Bullet 350 in Dehli and kept it for 7 years. I bought it in Karol bagh, Dehli. Second hand but one year old. I rode all over India. Sometimes i put it on the train. There were no cars at all on the routes. The most beautiful time in my life guys!!!!

normally I never check the warranty. But I recently renovated my house, and you HAVE TO check everything. At least 10% of stuff is either not working or missing parts, or installed wrong. Geysers with hot and cold wiring mixed up by the company plumber they sent to install it. water pumps coming out of the box used. Light fixures broken goes on and on
Actually the new 650's are considered very reliable here. I got my GT at the beginning of March and its a great runner. A real delight to ride! Well suited to roads in the USA.

Its great to see your take on India and I can see some similarities especially the warmth of the genuine people. I also am a motorcyclist and have always pined for a R.Enfield as a second bike. Be great to have one in SriLanka but I believe there is a 250cc limit there.

Great information. I may buy a Himalayan in the future but we finally got the new Classic 350 in the US and it’s so much better than the old 500 in terms of build quality, features and refinement. The price here is $4500 before tax and dealer fees which is one of the most affordable new motorcycles on sale. Yes I know the price there is probably $2500 or less but there’s nothing I can do about import cost. I know the US is definitely not the most expensive market for Royal Enfield. I hope one day to visit India and ride the same bike I own!

I've a feeling that Manu is very calm in a crisis. Typically driving in Delhi is crisis mode. And you're absolutely right about the bike. Power is no use in the city. When you arrive at Delhi all you can hear are the car horns. Not beeping their annoyance but instead saying 'coming through'. Traffic give s a new meaning to bumper to bumper.
She is very calm. Driving in Delhi is quite calming I find... Because there's no point to fight it. Just gotta go with the flow and let the more erratic drivers pass.

I’d prefer to visit less of the tourist areas, but maybe stay with a family in a village and take part in the day to day things. I’d also love to visit some of the temples, I’m just afraid of the people who might take money and ruin it for me and everyone ... any money I have I want to go directly to the temples and the good things they do.

Beautiful place, beautiful people, beautiful cultures. I’m from the uk and I would like to visit one day. I’d prefer to visit less of the tourist areas, but maybe stay with a family in a village and take part in the day to day things. I’d also love to visit some of the temples, I’m just afraid of the people who might take money and ruin it for me and everyone ... any money I have I want to go directly to the temples and the good things they do.
