Mark Excellent job brother. And nobody could have done a better job, in less than 7 hours. Anyway many moons ago when I made my first attempt at growing with aeroponics. I used hydroguard. And it worked ok. But the cost was killing me. So like you I wanted to do some research on hydroguard. That's when I realized it had only 1 item in the product. And I was like wtf. So like you I searched for other products that had that item in them. And i found at least 20 different products. But most of these other products had a lot more ingredients in them besides that one main item. So I researched these other ingredients in these other products and found out that most of the ingredients were other good bacteria and fungi. Some products had 5 and some had 25 of these good bacteria and fungi. I also found one manufacturer that has a product just for veg. and one designed just for flower. Well sense I don't veg. my plants I decided to start using the product that was designed just for the flower stage. And I've been using it for about 8 years now and love it. It's saved me so much money compared to hydroguard, it's unreal. I mean nothing even close to your study. Because your study is performed with just that one ingredient in both products. Which you did a excellent job in pointing that out for everyone. And as for Bayer or Monsato or what ever you want to call those murderers. This company has done and is still causing more damage to our planet. Than all the world wars put together. And do you know what our government does. Fines them. Billions and billions of dollars every year. And these billions hardly put a dent in their profit margins. They have monopolized numerous industries. And have caused major havock in these industries. And have ruined thousands of people's lives. They are paying off so many government officials. That no one will even attempted to challenge them. It's going to take us the people of the free world. To stop buying any if their products. And banned everything that they produce. Which is very hard to do because their products are under so many different names. Odds are that that bacteria is thriving in our compost bins anyhow. You can grow weed without purchasing everything in a bag or a bottle. There's a LOT of snake oil for sale out there, and I'm not saying all of it is bad, I'm just saying a lot of it is unnecessary, especially when growing in a living soil.
Some info really does help using worm casting produce amazing results and red crawlers worms, as well as fungi to help eliminate par-acidic fungi especially when it comes to the root system. Microbial life will protect your your root system while sharing the soil depends on what genus benefits what. It then boils down to leaf pests are the thing to study! When you grow outdoors that is, I suppose when you have a contaminant breach in your green house. Good luck. 🍀
@@surefiremushroomsmicrogreens Which is why I use compost. But yeah, you're right. The biggest issue I had this year were leaf pests, but nothing terribly unmanageable. They all seemed to avoid the buds at least. Interestingly, before starting this grow, I was inspecting my compost microscopically, and all I could find that was concerning were snail larvae. There were soil mites I couldn't ID, a few fungus gnats, which aren't really a concern of mine, and some sort of tiny black wasps of similar size, and millipedes. I simply scattered some snail bait on the surface when I planted, and that was that. It was too late into flower to use chemical warfare when the pests started showing up. I'd just make a morning inspection my routine, and pick off the caterpillars (cabbage loopers), and wipe away the two-spotted spider mites and thrips and leaf-hopper nymphs as I found them. Overall, the damage was minimal, and I'm certain I've caused more damage myself when being too careless growing indoors hydroponically.
If you are using Hydroguard in living soil you are using it wrong as is, it is completely unnecessary for living soil, but for people like me that grow in dwc it is very important.

With the cannibus market booming as it is the nutrient lines are getting rich as hell as well as we gotta feed these plants to get the outcome we want and ALOT of people even me have bought into this garbage b4 but last year I grew one of my best plants on banana peel tea, crushed eggshells/add white vinegar, molasses, Recharge, mabey 2 doses of cal/mag and just a few(3) half doses of Tiger bloom from ff and it was one of the best plants I've ever grew! I've never been big into spending alot on nutrients just give her what she needs and if she's lacking in something she will letcha know! Good job exposing these con artists and keep up the good work!👍💯✌

Southern AG Garden Friendly Fungicide is identical and has 98%+ active, 10,000,000,000 cfu's/ml. AG has One million x's more cfu's/ml than Hydroguard. AG 8oz. $8. Literally use one drop/gallon. There are 20 drops in one ml. 8 oz. AG will treat 4720 gallons. 8oz. Hydroguard @2ml/gallon will treat 118 gallons. Read the labels.

Wow....I had no idea. I used to like Botanicare but after watching this I literally threw my bottles in the trash and it will not be purchased again. Hi Mark, I'm a veteran who cultivates cannabis to treat my PTSD and insomnia. I grow via an RDWC hydro system in a 9 x 5 grow tent. Thank you for the Hydroguard deep dive, I'll never use this again and will share w/ my cultivation network. Question: can I use Revitalize concentrate in my RDWC reservoir, and if so, how much per gallon do you recommend? NOTE: Hydroguard expires 6 months after opening the container. For me, that was roughly two grow cycles, or about 1 gallon ($65 on Amazon, which is crazy expensive).

Thanks for the hours of work put into making this so we are WOKE. I use this product and their calmag and silica blast too...I am sure if you did cost comparisons on those two the results would be the same. So I will look into Revitalize, I already use Mykos which I hope is ok. Anyone have any suggestions for products that can replace my calmag and silica blast? Don't want any connection with pharmacy owned products. An organic option is preferred.
for liquid: look for Calcium Nitrate for natural look for :sea shell or bone meal for Mag: Langbeinite (rock “K-S-MG”) or epsom Salt (Magnesium Sulfate). and for Silica if you are growing in soil look for siliceous Rock or for powder look for silicon dioxide I like NPK Raw line Mark

Wow....I had no idea. I used to like Botanicare but after watching this I literally threw my bottles in the trash and it will not be purchased again. In a capitalist democracy we not only vote for our politicians with votes but we vote for brands and companies with every dollar spent. Hi Mark, I'm a veteran who cultivates cannabis to treat my PTSD and insomnia. I grow via an RDWC hydro system in a 9 x 5 grow tent. Thank you for the Hydroguard deep dive, I'll never use this again and will share w/ my cultivation network. Question: can I use Revitalize concentrate in my RDWC reservoir, and if so, how much per gallon do you recommend?
NOTE: Hydroguard expires 6 months after opening the container. For me, that was roughly two grow cycles, or about 1 gallon ($65 on Amazon, which is crazy expensive).

(10^10th compared to hydroguard 10^4th) so that's a good one. Southern AG also makes one that is 10^10th for cheap.

Thanks for the hours of work put into making this so we are WOKE. I use this product and their calmag and silica blast too...I am sure if you did cost comparisons on those two the results would be the same. So I will look into Revitalize, I already use Mykos which I hope is ok. Anyone have any suggestions for products that can replace my calmag and silica blast? Don't want any connection with pharmacy owned products. An organic option is preferred.
for liquid: look for Calcium Nitrate
for natural look for :sea shell or bone meal
for Mag: Langbeinite (rock “K-S-MG”) or epsom Salt (Magnesium Sulfate).
and for Silica if you are growing in soil look for siliceous Rock or for powder look for silicon dioxide

Everyone should look into Korean Natural Farming in my opinion. Big Ag is mostly useless with the exception of having a novel product here and there, other than that, their products are literally killing our soil and turning it into dirt

Like you were saying about that ph- made out of prosperous acid was that right.. my pH is 7.2 and I have no pH - and it's doing better now than it was using general hydroponics ph-it must have been killing all the microbes like you said
