Now I do use some other stuff but this list is solely for DTE. What I can say is I really do recommend this stuff. Makes growing super simple and your medium (soil) will really thank you for it.
I always mixed up mine I'd take like 1/2 box 444 Cup of bat 2 cups of bone, kelp and whatever else I have thats high in N And mix all together then don't end up having to table spoon of this teaspoon of that pinch of this just makes easier, just 2 or 3 tablespoons out of bucket that it's mixed into for top dress.

@@frankmigliore8505 I of course recommend soil because it’s very user friendly. If you end up going with CoCo you should add pure worm castings. The worm castings will add diversity and help bind the amendments you are putting in the soil so they do t get washed out. Also a microbial product like Recharge that will help further and grow your microbial life. A lot of new organic growing in coco tend to use the same practices salt based synthetic people use like flushing and it causes major problems with the amendments. It needs time for the microbial life to break these things down and we want little to no run off. Happy growing 🤙🏻
You can use dry amendments with Coco, but I highly recommend adding 25% worm castings or so to help bind and keep the nutrients from being washed out also with a little recharge or great white.Dry amendments need time to break down by the microbial life so run off should be avoided. At the end it’s what works best for you but I feel soil is the best 🤠 happy growing 🤙🏻

I used 444/484 in my first grow (indoor, 3g/5g, 3 autos that got to a very small harvest and a photo that never made it to flip, and I'm still not exactly sure what it was that killed it, but it was likely a combo of a bunch of smaller things.) last time. Not the greatest result, but who knows what else I did wrong. Would love to know more on how these all break down over time, especially the minerals. I tried to frontload every 2 weeks at box strength with the blends, and I may have gotten myself in trouble with the langbeinte, azo, and FBM.
Sounds like you burnt them . 4-4-4 and rock Dust or glacial Rock Dust is a good start. Then you top dress the Bloom around the flip and during flower. In a Nut shell this is the blueprint
Test your water if you haven't. You want to know ppm and ph. Most of the time anything over 90 ppm is going to create issues when growing in containers. My soil has alot of elements and is very biologically alive. I never go over 60 ppm. Water is very important and overlooked by many.
every week at the full box strength was it. the box doesnt expect you to do it every week. i do a pre plant, mid veg,start of flower, and mid flower. each one targeted at feeding the next stage. mid flower is very light and only if they go longer
i compost bone ,, i have 2 large dogs ,they get a lot of raw bones with meat on them ,the dogs clean the bones off all tissue and then get new bones i then toss the old bones in the outer steel ring of my firepit ( i have a 36inch pipe buried 4 feet and it has a 60 inch pipe around it ) the bones then lay in the space between inner and outer pit and stay until they split i then toss the smaller chunks into my compost ,,, my question is should i put this bone in my hard rock sample ball mill ,,it has 2 cubic foot capacity and will mill quartz or granite to a lab grade micro flour in a hour
That is awesome I love it!! If you have a mil it wouldn’t hurt. It would help be more available, you could even do a little powered/crushed bone with larger chunks 1/4” or so to create even more diversification and drainage to the soil. Happy growing 🤙🏻

I’ve heard the point of less is more with ferts but with organic if it takes a while to break down, wouldn’t you be chasing your tail so to speak if attempting to correct a deficiency?

I feel it wouldn’t do that because if you have a good and healthy microbial life the plant is telling the soil what it wants them to break down so it can uptake it. I don’t feel it would trigger a response for the plant to want more nitrogen even if it didn’t want it….
It really depends on the soil that you are using/purchasing. A lot of these new soils have nutrients pre added to them. in saying that there might be enough nutrients to last 3-4weeks before you have to add again. If you are making your own you want a good base soil. You can add % of perlite, worm castings, biochar. Then you can use the recommend application amounts if any product you want to add. So if you wanted 4-4-4 you would add 1-2Tbsp per gallon of soil. You can also add other things that you feel will benefit your plants like more bat guano, insect frass and so on. If you end up making your own I highly recommend you let it sit for min 2 weeks after you blend it to allow the microbial life to start and to make sure the soil isn’t so “hot”……happy growing 🤙🏻

I'm wondering whether I should use Coco or peat moss? Specifically what kind of coco, I have found high quality organic Coco bricks but people have mixed opinions on them. I'm struggling to find out at what ratio as well. I've been using roots organic for my grow and I know that's a Coco based substrate with a bunch of added dry nutes, bat guano, bone meal, etc.

I recommend active because it has been pre charged with nutrients and minerals, otherwise it can take some nutrients from your soil. Coco or Peat moss? When you purchase your soil take a good long look at what they have in it. It might already have one or both in them already. If your more new to soil these pre blended soils will help you see what you like or dislike about the soil for example drainage or how how good it stays saturated. I really don’t have a written soul mix as it changes grow after grow with what is left and what I need. In saying all that I just recommend looking up all the ingredients you want to use and see if there is an average amount people recommend. So if you use worm castings do most say start with 10%-25% or perlite what is your research concluding. At the end you’ll have to evaluate what is a available to you and take your notes and research and make an educated decision and learn and progress over a long period of time. Happy growing 🤙🏻
Amir Albourini Me personally, I use the cheapest garden or vegetable soil I can find for my base. I don't see the point of spending money on a base soil that has shit in it, that your going to be adding the same shit to it. Also almost all the amendments you purchase will have a recommend racial on the package. Just for a example. Say I'm going mix up some soil. I'll start with a 5 gal. Base soil, two and a half gal. worm poop, the same with peat. Then 5 gal. Perlite. And then with the other amendments it's like a 1/4 to 1/2 cup. I usually add alot of perlite. Because it is cheap and it doesn't hurt anything. This is just a example for you to try and understand how to mix your own soil. I hope this helps. Good luck bro.

I take that Oster she'll from the feed store and grind it down to a powder then add apple cider vinegar and it makes it break down faster

Use a vlookup for a quick reference on which nutrient to use when a deficiency is identified, just a suggestion!

In most cases 100% but in this case I was brining up langbenite witch has higher water soluble properties, so you will potentially see results faster.
