    Hi good job I did mine on nc750x and it transformed the way I ride felt so much better

      Yes the do make a difference, if I keep this NC I will look at suspension front and rear, but the truth is will it improve it or is stock more than enough, trial and error👍👍👍

    Better measurements for actual ride height difference might have been to measure from the floor to the base of the rear fender, with you sitting on the bike, both before and after the dog bone swap. That would give a more accurate measure of the difference the new links make. It will be interesting to hear how the front steering feels after raising the rear, as this will slightly alter the rake and trail of the front end. Good job, regardless. Keep up the vids!

    Good timing as I’m planning to grease the suspension linkages on the X-ADV soon. 🔧👍🏻

    You can see the difference from ground clearance underneath the rear tyre before and after. Great to know it can be raised up 👍

      @birchwoodbiker I've seen fork extensions online but I'm not sure if they do them for the NC.

    I was considering doing the same procedure but to lower the bike instead. I'm trying to get a bit more seat time before making a final decision on that. I'd really prefer to keep the ground clearance that it has now if I can manage. As a side note, I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts on your crash bars as I'm looking around for a set that will fit the 2023 NC750X DCT.
    Enjoying the channel content, keep up the good work!

      @@birchwoodbiker Thanks for your thoughts and the link to the crash bars. I'm in Canada but was able to find the same ones on Amazon thanks to your link which showed the mfr. number. I probably should get the crash bars installed a.s.a.p. before riding it much more. So far, just a 45 minute ride home from the dealer is all the experience I have on the bike. Too soon to say whether I should lower it or not, but never too soon to protect the investment. Thanks again!

    Just a question.... Would you not need to rise the front the same distance in order to keep the geometry of the bike the same

      How ? 😂

      @ekimandersom4478 I don't know honestly. Maybe fit a longer spacer over the fork springs or replace fork oil for heavier grade. Get advice off a bike technician who would know all the pros and tons of the job in hand

    This is a great video, i ride with my partner 90% of the time , also 3 original Honda suitcases which are full on weekends so the rear drops down a bit ! I dont have any problems and ride is great but was thinking if i lift it 30mm or 40mm should make it ride level at all times since all my rides are with a pillion . Anyone's thoughts on this? Does the shock it self need to be changed

    • @birchwoodbiker
      @birchwoodbiker  5 днів тому

    Hello. I'm trying to make some uplinks, homemade/DIY version. Could you please tell me what the difference is between the holes from the originals to the ones you installed? The original ones are 13.5cm (at the center of the hole) and how much are the uplinks? Thank you

      @@birchwoodbiker no worries. I was asking because I’m planning to do the same - jack it up. Unfortunately I can’t find shorter links here in North America.

    Good job. Does that also increase the ground clearance as well? And how tall are you ?

    • @birchwoodbiker
      @birchwoodbiker  9 місяців тому +1

      yes around 1 1/4" what I can remember, to be honest over time not really noticed the difference👍

      @@birchwoodbiker How tall are you? Or what is your leg length? I'm around 5'11" and find the seat to low and I'd like a little more leg space between the foot pegs.
