everyone seem to forget that john never fights the real deals in his 100%. Since his dog died, he never had a full rest, he fought with bullets in his stomach, deep knife cuts everywhere in his body, maybe 40% of his blood gone, exhausted from killing 10 trillion men not to mention being rusty from age and retirement for couple of years, in his prime, viggo said he accomplished a job no one could’ve pulled off, he didnt have anything to fight for unlike caine, and if helen was alive and they used her to threaten him, im certain he’d make the entire hitman world go extinct, he has the most overpowered skill in the wick universe, tenacity and perseverance, caine or anyone else wouldnt have accomplished what he did to get to that church in paris, no one can change my mind on that, also, yes i know its just a movie.
I think one thing you have to remember is wick always fought a boss level opponent after going through 50 people. Shot, bloodied and injured. I'd have him at #1 1v1
Thats what i always thought too Even if they’re fodder, John isn’t superhuman, he has limits and the fact he can still beat these top tiers after fighting like 50 different killers 20mins beforehand is the most impressive thing in these movies
It really was a delight to see Kirill so high on your list. Dude was the first one who actually posed a challenge to John, and on top of that, he did it to a "healthy" John. Most of the others were fighting him, while he was seriously wounded and tired down by the challenges behind him.
@@TheBigEggRoll Handcuffed Wick >>> Bloodied, battered and extremely fatigued Wick. Wick would've wiped anyone with handcuffs easier when he's healthy. I doubt that any single human being out there going on with weeks without proper rest, food, water and recuperation can win against a copypasted version of themselves that are handcuffed but are in tip top shape
@@buenvidanadz1969 but it actually wasn't just "handcuffed john wick", it was: "handcuffed, exhausted from fighting for over a day straight, stabbed in the gut, hit by a car, and recently suffocated john wick". in all honesty, it seems like the only reason kirill got the drop on john was because he was genuinely super rusty after years of retirement, and john wasn't expecting him to be any trouble since no one else up to him was. after wick got back into his groove and a little angry, kirill couldn't take him even as he was extremely injured and restrained.
Caine has to be in the top 2 especially since he was blind and incredibly skilled that John cautiously approached him which Wick rarely did throughout the films. Also despite the blindness, he was able to handle any and all foes who he crossed paths with with various types of weapons. I was so impressed by him in the 4th film.
Good list. For me, I'd still put Caine as one of the top 3. The first fight they had, John could barely handle him even while he's blind. Nobody's interference pretty much saved him. I don't think Sofia would be able to handle Caine, with or without her dogs. I think the only ones who could possibly give Caine a really hard time are Zero and the two Shinobi. They are capable of being incredibly silent which makes Caine's sensitive hearing void in a fight against them.
Watching the movie, you can see that BOTH of them said they didn't "want to do this", because they have been through some serious off screen shit together. You can see it in the body posture.
@@cosmicape4829 Well caine faught a newly sharpened Wick training for months preparing and john barely handle him. 2nd best hitman for sure, to add up he even john with almost full stamina and no serious damage
I just don't see Caine losing to Sofia or Zero... I'll see myself out. ******************************* Let us also remember that we have rarely seen John fight anyone FRESH. He fights a small army, and two mini bosses before he even gets to Zero, and murders through half a movie before he gets to Cassian. That is the reason why Zero keeps letting John get back up. He wanted a fair fight, and giving a man(running on painkillers) who just blended an army a few minutes to breath is very fair. Zero was John's fan. He looked up to him. Caine was John's colleague. He looked across to him. That is the difference. John, Zero, Cain, and Nobody all low diff Sophia without her dogs, and walk away bleeding but alive with dogs Cassian would probably mutual kill, or die while mortally wounding her.
John is definitely number 1. He's 5 years into his retirement by the first movie and we've only seen him in good condition at the beginning of the first movie. He has almost no rest time between any of the movies, no where near enough to nurse all of his wounds away and he still beats everyone.
@@TheStraightestWhitest True, thou it was shown Caine was holding back some and also some hesitation/remorse when he thought he killed John in the glass room scene. Caine was long done with the System and out of the game for far longer.
Fun Fact: There's an 8 Months time skip between 3 and 4 and in that time he Trained nearly none stop and said to be as good as, if not better , than in his Prime. While Kane just came out of retirement that day and haven't trained in 3 years. ( Other than his hearing/blind aiming)
I definitely feel like Killa should've been higher on the list. He actually made John Wick scared at certain parts of there fight especially when he kept getting back up. I loved him so much he was like a old james bond villan
Also I don't know how anyone could of been shocked with the fight given who played Killa. It was Scott Adkins in a fatsuit, of course he was gonna be a hand to hand threat.
He only did that well against John because of the size difference. When it comes to hand to hand combat, John relies a lot on grappling and grappling doesn’t do much good against a guy who outweighs you by 100 lbs.
@@H.K.5I can confirm this my friend who was smaller than me back in highschool I was in 6,2 and he was 5,4 and he knows ju jitsu he got me in an armbar and I just got up and lifted him not much you can do against someone heavier and stronger
In all honesty, I believe, if Caine could see, he would match up, if not beat, John Wick himself. The fact that he is able to attack like that and possibly DEFLECT John's bullets, as mentioned, makes him insanely skilled
You do know John wasn't trying at all to kill Caine Because no one could actually rival John in the movie I'll say Caine is equal to Sofia wit her dogs buh zero is definitely slightly above 🙂
Well, things considered other than godly plot armor. I presume he'd be around the same level as John. Since he's blind, his fighting style becomes random and unpredictable. Compare it to a person who could see, who actively targets John's vitals. In this case, John can see and anticipate where one will attack, since said attacks are more precise to hit a specific target. And thus follow a simpler pattern. Instead of Caine randomly waving his sword around, shooting towards where he thinks John is and it works out for him. Cause plot.
@@JADE-vc3dt zero is above what is this bs opinion, John made zero look like a fool and it’s also obvious while the movies go on the assassin increase in hierarchy, Zero was the challenge of that movie and for the final movie the biggest challenge it’s caine
Zero suffered from the problem of not just finishing the fight. There were so many instances where he could have just outright killed Wick in their fight, but he kept the fight going out of the enjoyment of fighting Wick, as well as some level of respect and admiration. Of course John was already tired and injured, so that's something to consider, but I would agree with Zero's place, even after seeing the arguments against it.
well john was very weak injured and exhausted he only had 2time he would win 1 by skill other wise they are just rime pauses but in 1 vs 1 skill level john way better than zero
Well tbf there are a LOT of parts in the movie where John would've been easily killed. Like many of the scenes where the enemies are just flailing around with a gun in their hand instead of shooting John
The best stat John Wick has aren't his gunslinging or weaponizations, its his stamina, durability, and focus. He outlasts all his enemies with sheer tankiness
You gotta remember all these assassins were attacking John at the same time or consecutively. His stamina and willpower was incredible. These guys are all throwing their best at him over and over again. I Think John and Caine were evenly matched. But everyone else is a good distance away.
Also he didn't kill Cassian because John for one didn't want to kill Gianna D'Antonio. He understood that Cassian was pissed and knew he was going to fight John with everything he had. If you think about it John doesn't kill people who openly show love and respect like The Twins, who is trying to kill him for reasons other than money, and obviously people with animals like Mr. Nobody.
> obviously people with animals like mr. nobody I found it annoying how obvious they were trying to make him totes likeable by giving him a dog. John kills scores of people w/o hesitation who fight out of loyalty to the high table or b/c it's their job or to stop a guy who's been on a murderous rampage for 4 movies and also kills the people who come at him for the money but he spares the life of the ONE scumbag who's SO in it for the money that he postpones the fight purely out of greed and fetching a higher premium..b/c he had a dog? And saves his dog b/c he lost a dog, as if ppl breaking into your home and killing your dog you're raising normally is at all comparable to deliberately making your dog into a deadly weapon and unleashing it on people and some of them might have the GALL to defend themselves..if you make your dog into an accessory to you killing people and make it attack people with guns and it gets shot, maybe that's kind of your own fault? And they gave Chidi (who absolutely HAD John in the arc de triomphe roundabout fistfight, scored a huge body shot to his liver that would END a real fight - John was saved by the traffic edit: you can see this in this video @ 11:25, John is totally outmatched by his combinations) a humiliating death of being bit in the balls and shot and you're supposed to laugh at him b/c..he ZOMG dares shoot at a dog that was about to rip his throat out. Shooting an extremely an extremely dangerous dog in self-defence? FUCK that guy. Make your dog into a deadly weapon and purposefully put it in dangerous situations? Well I guess we LOVE that guy b/c the movie told us to Anyway, I thought Nobody was a scumbag
The thing about Zero though is there were I think at least 2 times where he could have killed Wick in that final fight. You showed one of them in the video. His downfall was that he was such a fan, that he wanted to draw the fight out longer so he could savor the moment with his assassin crush. Donnie Yen in this film was just the freaking Chinese Elvis of BA assassins. Just so cool.
If you liked the Twins' fight, I cannot recommend the 2 "The Raid" films highly enough, in which both actors feature prominently. Those films also contain another badass, Iko Uwais, who definitely should have been in the John Wick films.
Agreed. He's the only one I remember that fought a pretty fresh john and whipped him in the first encounter. He also made life hell for john right up til the end hitting him with cars lol
he would have a different skill set if he werent blind, i reckon his senses especially his ears are enhanced which balances out his disabilities, he would most likely be not as good if he has both his eyes, because his skills are honed based on his disability.
@@them4licious0ne I understand what your saying, but where his skills set would be great making him more matched if not better than sick is his actual sight for shooting . Wick is a master at shooting combined with a mix of martial arts . Cain is a master martial artist, that most likely was combined with expert shooting skills .
Loved Caine, but John would definitely outfight Caine. People say he almost killed John at the start of the movie, but just because he had a sword to his throat means nothing. John has been in that position countless times.
He still blind though... I think this list was focused on everything giving one an advantage and not just fighting ability so the fact that he's blind is really a disadvantage. Like if he's taking on Sofia, her dogs play a part too. He's my favorite though, holding his own though blind
Caine was a really cool character who utilized his best senses, sound. In the Osaka continental, the way he used sensors with doorbell sounds was brilliant.
Who would've ever thought 10 years ago in 2013 Keanu Reeves was about to have a rebirth in his career with the all-time best action franchise in history!
I feel like you don’t need all 5 senses to be a peak Assassin, but Caine’s character style was very specific: He was a sighted fighter that *became* blind, and he used a bunch of tricks, like the proximity door bells, to compensate in creative ways that I don’t think someone who learned to fight blind from the start would do. The point being that he wasn’t comfortable with his blindness, and that made it a handicap.
Exactly I agree with the facts that Caine is still blind Just still put him in a disadvantage He needed those gadget to work up some goons buh I don't really think up straight wouldn't be that great 🤷🙂
@@JADE-vc3dt his other senses were enhanced. And he only used the door knobs in Japan against super stealthy archers. Against everybody else he could detect them by hearing.
@@Reflectionmaterialokay, but being blind is not an advantage when you are shooting at each other. We really don't have to discuss that. Or when they played cards, how one earth did he know which cards he had? Huge plot hole. When they brought in a blind top tier fighter who could magically read cards, it felt stupid and nonsensical.
@@DieEineMieze perhaps he sensed the cards? Also did he not asked confirmation from the others? And perhaps uses echo location during gunfights and memorization? Either way he was struggling to find Wick when he kept himself silent and at several times was clearly guessing where he was as he fired.
@@Reflectionmaterial Sensed normal playing cards? There is no way to sense normal playing cards. Obviously, or you could chest. Echo location...? Are we bats now? You say he struggled finding wick. That's the point, he is blind. And not life half blind. It's made very clear in the movie that he is completely blind, as in the Braille scene. You can argue, well whatever what john wick does is more like any human could do. Maybe, but it's not supernatural. The Shooting scene you can explain away with sound and heightened senses. But not the card scene. If you create a world and the world goes by the same laws as ours, then you can't have an blind man knowing which card he has.
Caine is easily number 2. It's crazy when you realise that Caine is blind! Don't forget that most other people had their fight when John Wick was already shot and stabbed etc. He had very little rest. But he was almost at full strength vs Caine.
@@them4licious0ne Well he had taken down a few people, correct. But essentially he was fully healed and ready to go. He didn't have any bullet wounds or haven't been fighting for days on end. He was chilling in the hotel and then took out a few guys before Caine met him in that glass room.
@@coenhealy-johnson5194 Oh really. I didn't notice it. I can't wait until it's on some streaming site! Def going to watch it a few times for anything I missed!
john also is a master of weapons, the fact that he can just pick up a random weapon and used it like a pro means that he can easily adapt to any kind of situations
Love everything on the list. You give great points for each character such as their use of dogs or how much of an effort it took for John to win. However, I would personally rank Chidi from 9 to 3 or 4. As throughout the first 3 movies John never gets a break. He simply reacted to the tragedy of the first movie we wont talk about. That was 5 year out of retirment out of shape John, then the next two minutes he never gets a break. Meanwhile in this latest 4th film we hear hes been in hiding for weeks and clearly getting back into training. The legend has leveled up and is more dangerous than he's ever been in within the series. And yet, Chidi was still able to get the uppherand on John much more than I expected him too. Man is a freaking tank and deserves a higher spot for lasting so long with a trained Wick. Now not saying this is peak Wick as that would probably take a year of training but we can all agree John's at his most powerful in this 4th film than the first 3.
While true, I think 4 may be too high still. When Chidi fought John is was either immediately after or while John was fighting off goons. And I still think Cassian was better too.
...except that chidi also fought john after he was injured and exhausted. it ain't like he fought him fresh after a weeks long rest, he always ambushed him as he was focusing on something else, after fighting a hundred guys, and STILL lost every encounter. hell john doesn't even seem interested in fighting chidi in the end, mostly just running from him because he has to make his deadline.
Tbf Cassian was fresh in the fight all things considered and John Wick was absolutely exhausted so he would most likely be better in that fight. Fresh Wick would most definitely toy with Cassian
not a chance. killa was a tank, but that's it. john didn't even have a weapon when he beat him to death. chidi would be harder like...c'mon. the dogs would bit his nuts and his arm/chest and then she'd pop him in the head, or slit his throat, or anything she wanted because he literally can't do anything with dogs eating him at the same time.
@@kiksgreebo147 no it wouldn't because john has way more insane durability and is the best shot so he could probably injure the dogs before they did too much damage
I believe that Chidi deserves to be in the top 5,guy was a complete beast in the final act of the movie and it took both John and Caine to immobilize him.
Top 5? Man was underrated as heck, he beat John three times and Caine’s blind putting him at a disadvantage with long range gun combat. Man should’ve been at Number 1
Yeah now that you put it like that. He might actually be #1 most skilled fighter. If we consider that "fighter" strongly implies hand to hand combat. This list more accurately describes who's the most skilled assassin.
I think when Koji was in his prime, he was the premier assassin of the High Table. He was extremely skilled, very durable and most importantly he was very smart. He can assess any situation and act accordingly.
Caine was also retired. In fact John is less rusty as he has been chased and fought everywhere. Whereas Caine was just brought in to kill John straight from retirement.
@@emilyblade9676Killa was definitely not in his prime either and still wrecking house. I half wonder if viggo was anything fearsome when younger but I half think John was playing with him at that point.
I want to agree...because I literally said the same thing when I watched the vid lol..but alot of these guys were injured and still came out victorious when fighting their opponents.
Remember before both Caine and Koji starting the duel? Caine says "i don't wanna do this" he saying this with confidence because he knows he'll beat Koji (healthy or injured)
Don't think Sofia is actually beating Caine in a 1v1 regardless of his disability but yeah the dogs and her versus Caine would probably be too much for him. Caine vs Zero is a fight I actually think would be pretty up in the air. Caine without his disability seems just too OP.
I always have a laugh in the 4th film, when John goes for like 10/15mins non-stop from man to man, and when it's finished he's literally exhausted. Then Caine kicks in after having "played" with 5/6 men and a good dose of ramen or whatever it is 😂
The main thing that makes john wick a ruthless and the most skilled fighter in the JW universe despite the fact that there were many fighter that were able to take him down for a while and beat him ,is that he knows how to use his surroundings as a weapon he is indeed a skilled martial artist which makes it easy for him to combine gunfight with hand combat as well as to use literally anything as a weapon and of course he has GOD'S hand on him which does protect and prevent him from dying in many near miss situations
Personally, I believe Caine and John are equal with John possibly edging out due to sight. If it was a battle of guns, obviously John, though at close range it flips towards Caine. Since the Marquis selected knives as his choice for weapons for the duel, I think Caine would win that fight. And based on their fight and how Caine killed everyone else he fought with his blade, I think he's the better sword fighter. Could John win, yeah, but with these two I think they have distinct advantages depending on the weapons and circumstances of the fight. In terms of everyone else, I'd rank based on recency. I like to think John approaches his prime, or near best, the further down in the franchise. Compared to Losef in #1, who actually got the drop on him in his house, by the time we get to Paris where he's fighting assassins for days, literally, he's elevated his level substantially. As good as Viggo's man was, I don't see him above Cassian, or anyone of John's adversaries or friends in Chapter 4. I don't think Viggo could afford an assassin better than any the table has. Plus, I think that fits with the ridiculous one-uping the franchise does with each film, the stunts get crazier, the kills are more brutal, John's kill count goes up exponential, and the threat level goes up. Therefore I see the fighters in chapter 4 as the best. Plus, the assassin 2nd the Marquis went toe to toe with John and was still alive and actually had him dead to rights before Mr. Nobody intervened so I'd put him honestly top 5 or 4 honestly. For me #1/2 John &Caine, depends on matchup. #3 Chidi, I honestly think he's that good and was a high table assassin. #4 Zero, follows by #5 & #6 with the Shinobi. Cassian, Sophia, Koji and his daughter would close out the top 10 for me in that order. If Koji were younger, he'd probably be above Cassian, but with Cassian being younger and above to go toe to toe with John in two fights where Koji died to Caine relatively quickly, Cassian I believe is better at this point. Sophia would be a lot lower if it weren't for her dogs, that changes everything in a fight in my opinion. I agree, if Akira gets another movie and more experience, then she could go up a lot higher, as it stands we both think of her around the same spot and pretty damn good already. But that's my list to me, though obviously I wouldn't want to face anyone of these assassins
I think zero is better than chidi and maybe even caine i mean he let John up several times when he could of killed him he also just wanted a good fight with him since he was a fan.
@Albin Wallén That's a fair point. Though that'd mean the Shinobi should go up higher since they had John dead to rights initially. Though again, I'm not entirely convinced simply because I'm not sure if Chapter 3 John is equal to Chapter 4 John. In each film, John has seemingly improved in his ability, so by that logic, I'm not sure if 3 is on par with 4. So did Zero and the Shinobi get the best version of John, I'm not sure. Also, when they let him up, he kicked their asses and came out on top. And in their minds if it was to get a good fight, or to see if John was still as good as his reputation, then he proved he was and still outclasses them. I can't say the same for Caine or Chidli, simply because John didn't beat them and John was saved due to outside intervention. So in my mind, I'm of the belief that Caine and Chidli are closer to John's level, but that's just my take.
For number 11, bulletproof does not equal stab proof. There are stab resistant armor that you can buy to supplement bulletproof body armor. Her knowing to use a sharp arrow to penetrate the body armor of the high table shows how smart she is.
Different penetrative powers, nothing to do with “stab proof armours”. An arrow has probably 10x as much weight behind it giving it a lot more penetrative power. To put it a different way in WW1 some soldiers wore plate armour (knight armour) across their chest because it would stop bullets where a few hundred years earlier the same armour was ineffective against longbows which had less power then the recurve bow shown in the show.
Make a rank video with : - john Wick - Mc Call (Equalizer) - Jason Bourne - Frank Martin ( The Transporter) - Agent 47 - Tyler Rake (Extraction) - and other similar warrior!
The amount of skill someone has to have to defeat other fighters when they are blind is incredibly higher than those with sight. He is easily the most "skilled"
Well the actor who plays Killa is a highly trained black belt in real life. Also bulletproof vests are weak to knifes, so arrows work. You would have to buy bulletproof/stabproof vests
Not really. It's possible to slash through Kevlar, but you're not going to stab or slash your way through AR500 plate like the High Table commandos were wearing--not with knives, arrows, or what-have-you. Like most things in action movies, the arrows were an exercise in suspending disbelief.
@Alex I deal with bulletproof clothing. Even the bulletproof 3 piece suits. The plates have spaces between them. That's why they have bullet resistant on the labels but we say bulletproof. If they are using an 80 lb pull bow, with metal arrows, they can pierce armor.
There are only 2 characters in the entire series who had John dead to rights by simply outfighting/out-thinking him. Caine and Killa (Scott Adkins). By that virtue alone, I would have Killa in my top 5. Caine, IMO, is a clear #2. He dispatched absolutely everyone he encountered with ease (EVEN JOHN!). John was literally only saved because of Mr. Nobody.
Absolutely right. The writers of the movie made it as clear as they can that Caine and John are in their own league and its pretty unclear how their fight ends if they both go all out. I am leaning towards the conclusion that Caine owns with blades and John owns with Guns.
John Wick is a fictional character created by Derek Kolstad, and the titular protagonist of the neo-noir action thriller film series John Wick, portrayed by Keanu Reeves. John is a legendary hitman who had retired until a gang invades his house, steals his car, and kills the puppy that his late wife Helen had given him. This sets him on a path of revenge, returning him to the criminal underworld and eventually coming into conflict with the international organization of assassins of which he was once a part. John was born Jardani Jovonovich (Russian: Джордани Йованович, Belarusian: Ярдані Яванавіч) in Padhorje[be], Byelorussian SSR, Soviet Union on September 2, 1964. He was orphaned at a young age before being taken in by an old friend of his father, who would eventually become John's mentor. It is revealed in the John Wick comic book mini-series that he spent a significant portion of his adolescence in El Sauzel, Mexico. At one point, he was recruited by a Ruska Roma organized crime group and trained by its leader, a woman known as The Director, in New York City. Under the Director's supervision, John was trained as a hitman and learned skills including martial arts, firearms and other weaponry, tactical driving, infiltration, escapology, and more. After leaving the Ruska Roma organization, he was arrested for an unspecified crime and incarcerated. Upon release, he was manipulated into joining the underground crime world operating out of the Continental Hotel chain. John became the top enforcer for the New York Russian crime syndicate, becoming an infamous hitman. He was nicknamed "Baba Yaga" after the supernatural Boogeyman-like entity in Slavic folklore. Eventually, John fell in love with a woman named Helen. Hoping to pursue a normal life, he met with Viggo Tarasov, boss of the Tarasov mob, who agreed to grant him his freedom if he could carry out what was described as an "impossible task", implying that Wick was not expected to survive the mission. In order to accomplish his goal, Wick requested assistance from Camorra crime boss Santino D'Antonio and subsequently ended up owing him a blood oath called a "marker". John eliminated all of Tarasov's major rivals, thus enabling Tarasov to become one of New York's most powerful crime bosses. John retired and settled down with Helen, his reputation now legendary, and the two lived happily together in New Jersey for five years until Helen’s death from an unspecified illness.
Cheers DanCo. This is a great video and the list is perfect. Most comments will be clouded with emotions and imaginations... Before you change a thing, thumbs up👍
I would put Chidi waaaaay higher. Man is a terminator who got as much vitality and tankiness as John Wick, and he's actually a match for John in hand-to-hand combat.
@@bell5248 That's only because every time they fought, he waited until John was weakened and distracted by the countless other hitmen attacking him, and always took a cheap shot while John wasn't ready.
@@epsilon5808 Even in that case, at this point we can cross that out since John Wick can fight in any state. You are also forgetting that Chidi fought John after a ton of injuries as well. In addition, he was not only fighting John but also Mr Nobodies dog. Were it not for the dog I don't know if Chidi would have actually killed John. It took also John, Caine, Mr Nobody and Mr Nobody's dog to actually take him down. So yeah, Chidi should have been top 5 in my book.
I feel like Caine, Cassian and Chidi are ranked way too low. Thought Caine was gonna be Number one or 2 maybe. Then Chidi would make it to top3 since he was able to actually beat John Wick. And Cassian was actually John Wick's Equal according to me
I feel you, keep in mind the amount of people John goes through, running wounded, then he fights boss tier level. John has been hit by a car , stabbed, shot and still fights the world. They are fight a John wick past his prime, the prime years of earning the name baba yaga
Chidi has the best pain tolerance out of any JW enemy. Dude got thrown into a speeding car, pushed off the stairs and fell head-first, and it took a combined effort of John, Caine, and Mr. Nobody to finally kill him.
Agreed, it took John and Mr Nobody together to defeat him. The guy was an absolute menace and is super underrated. Personally I have him in 3rd place behind John and Caine
John is the most overpowered easily just because he’s not as flashy of fighter as others but like they say in the movies what makes him the most dangerous is his sheer will and focus what separates him from the rest
I think a really good fight would be between John and Caine, but both of them at 100%. That means Caine has his eyesight and John isn't at the tail end of five years' retirement. I think that would probably be the closest thing there is in this universe to an even matchup.
Honestly I would have ranked Marcus right below Aries, he was able to tale out a good amount of guys after being tortured and seemed like he was considered to be one of the few assassins actually capable of taking out Wick.
Caine is my favorite fighter who isn't John. The use of the motion sensors to shoot three baddies is just too awesome. Bonus points for being a reference to the Japanese film character Zatoichi.
As said here, John was constantly injured and pretty much always outnumbered and still dispatched everyone who challenged him. So I'll rank him #1 in everything in all these movies
In reference to Caine: I'm surprised that he didn't have more "neutralizing/debilitating" tactics. Like just carrying around tear gas with him and not caring about not seeing in it, but completely having an advantage while fighting others in it. Attacking in the dark, etc. Using his blade to reflect light into his opponent's eyes to blind them. The flashbang was the only thing close to the concept.
Bro…. You’ve never been exposed to tear gas have you? Yeah, it makes your sinuses go haywire… but not until your body starts adapting to it… breathing tear-gas feels like breathing fiberglass… it’s suffocation at first… people cry after nearly coughing themselves to death… being blind is not going to protect you from tear gas… that’s not the way it works… to the guy who said flashbang… you’re only accounting for the “flash” it also goes “bang”…. Very, very loudly… enough to be concussive if youre in close enough proximity…. If you’re blind, that means you are heavily relying on your other senses… especially hearing… the last thing Caine needs to do is toss a super loud flash bang and hear nothing but tinnitus ringing in his ears for 3 minutes….
@@playforge3438 I think we can suspend disbelief, if it makes a character cooler. John Wick was hit by cars going full throttle at least twice. No amount of body armor would disperse that level of kinetic force. besides the fact that body armor shown in the movie is logistically impossible. Not to mention John was shot off the roof of a hotel then landed on his spine on a railing half way down then continued to fall the rest of the way down and still walked away after. Why would you use the physics/logic argument when there's so many inconsistences in the movies regarding whether things could actually happen in real life.
I have to agree with this ranking much more than Danco's. Zero and Cassian were both practically equal to John Wick, there's no way Cassian should be ranked as low as he is in the video
@@filipcesnjak2944 but it still doesn’t debunk what I said tho. You’re right if he wasn’t blind he would be 1 but that’s not the case. He still wasn’t able to kill an exhausted John.
I think this is was more accurate. I think Danco put Sofia way too high. The only ranking i think I would change is Cassian would go between Chili and Shimazu. I think John saw him as an equal as a person, but as an assassin, it didn't seem like it.
@@yahmicah4294 But, to be honest, at least for the first fight, Caine really only got the upper hand because John had just gone through around 50-70 guys all at once, cqc, getting him tired out. And even then, John was still putting up a really good fight.
@@lordgodmaster6944 I mean you gotta factor that Caine is probably alot rustier than John at that point. John's been training in the gap between 3&4 while Caine was probably trying to enjoy his retirement until he was forced to hunt him.
@@gudhaxer41343 you gotta factor in though that John has recently been shot stabbed and thrown of a roof. Most of that time was defenetly spelt om recovery.
Sofia is one of my favorite John Wick characters. I also think that, of all the actors who are actually martial artists, Donnie Yen is the best. John may be the best on screen adaptive fighter ever.
I have to agree with everything you said, I love Sophia and her skilled but also in love with Halle Berry, but the most skilled period is Caine Donnie Yen’s character and I have seen majority of Donnie Yen’s martial arts movies 🎥, he is the best. Scott Atkins is very good as well.
Caine has to be number 2 or 3 for me for many reasons but one of the main ones being the fact he was the fighter giving wick the biggest run for his money (because he came away from that fight with a draw)
i have to say, it's nice to see Scott Adkins and Marko Zaror again after Undisputed 3: Redemption, Donnie Yen and Hiroyuki Sanada too, this cast is top tier
1 - john wick 2 - caine 3 - zero 4 - chidi 5 - the 2 shinobi 6 - cassian 7 - sofia 8 - mr. nobody 9 - killa 10 - krill This is my list. My personal opinion.
And let’s not forget that John fought a ton of people before even facing Zero.. even the twins which was taxing on him.. he would of owned him if not ,but he is talented and yes he could of killed John. I wouldn’t Sofie on the top 10 , she had two dogs and never really faced anyone on this list to be critiqued to be on this list.
the shinobi twins could have ended John if they are not so in awe with Wick, like you could clearly see it in their combat, John could have died early in the fight
John wick reminds me of Kratos. Where Kratos was holding back the entire time in 4 and ragnarok, wick was exhausted and beaten up and still beat everyone who had the advantage
When you judge squarely based on skill... Cain and Zero should be ahead of John. John won his fights but took a lot of hits, the guy has endurance like no other assassin in the movie, and I think that was his biggest asset
It's interesting to see how many people John fights (or teams up with) who are past their prime or disabled. Viggo is old, Marcus is old, Caine is blind, and Killa is overweight and has asthma
Zero ultimately didn't want to kill John, had he actually wanted to he most likely would have, the same with the two shinobi. They held back many would be death blows.
I can't even think of not mentioning Scott Adkins(Here he is the fat guy btw) in top 5. He is such a madman in his primes like Undisputed and Ip man 4...so underrated.
Remember before both Caine and Koji starting the duel? Caine says "i don't wanna do this" he saying this with confidence because he knows he'll beat Koji (healthy or injured)
@@felixy23 or he could mean that he does not want to fight an old friend like he did not want to fight John Wick if only they did not threatened his daughter's life...right?
@@EmilyCindy-j5h he's smart and full of pride. he can leave the fight when Caine says "take care of your daughter" but he's still looking for death. his pride and honor outweighs his mind
The most unrealistic event in all the movies is the scene in the railway station where several thugs were taken out with knives in plain sight of the public. This method of death would produce huge amounts of blood--instantly--and the first female seeing all the blood would scream about it loudly! They could not hide this.
I believe Caine is #2. He came closer than everyone to killing John Wick. I mean if he was able to see he could see where John was before grabbing his gun when he was on the floor. But yet again John didn't defeat him in the film yet he let Caine shoot him in order to shoot Marquis later. So they where a stalemate in the 4th instalment.
For Caine, I just don't agree with people saying he won against John or is better at physical fights etc. John having a knife to his throat doesn't mean he lost. He's been in situations like that many times before, as someone else had commented. It was basically a stalemate. As for the fight itself, Caine's godly plot armor aside, him being blind makes him have an entirely different fighting style to John. He's random and unpredictable. Which makes anticipating attacks even more difficult unlike a person with working sight. Who actively aims for vitals and has more concise attack patterns. Since, in the movie, swinging around his sword aimlessly and shooting the same way worked out for him, cause plot. John was exhausted when they first fought and he held his own very well. So if anything, I'd say John was the better fighter there. Considering he was holding back in refusal to kill Caine at the same time. I know it's just a movie and I shouldn't take things too seriously but there are too many variables to consider. If they fought, both in their prime and well rested, Caine blind or not. Who knows, it could go either way. Just there were so many times, deeming the circumstances, where Caine should have died but did not. Cause again, plot. Though I'm not denying the same can be said for John, but just appears more profound with Caine.
Chidi feels like the terminator...a car hit him, fell off a building, bitten by a dog, and he kept coming back...and if I'm not mistaken he beat Wick in hand to hand combat easy...and he was able to kill Wick at least twice, If it weren't for Caine or mr Nobody intervention.....

1) fighters like Earnest don't do as well in confined spaces (ie between bookshelves) unless they learn grappling. 2) Killa was a surprise until you know his Scott Atkins 3) Both Nobody and Sofia forgot the first rule of K9 work--send the dog in first, and be backup. 4) Akira knows leverage--maybe Hopkido, likely Judo, but would be interesting to see an assassin with Monkey Kung Fu.

Thats what i always thought too
Even if they’re fodder, John isn’t superhuman, he has limits and the fact he can still beat these top tiers after fighting like 50 different killers 20mins beforehand is the most impressive thing in these movies
Absolutely. He's the most feared dude in this universe for a reason. He's number 1, it's more about who is 2.
Exactly. None of these fighters has ran the course that John Wick has done since he lost his dog. Dude is easily #1
I said the same thing
he is a man of focus he can still focused
It really was a delight to see Kirill so high on your list. Dude was the first one who actually posed a challenge to John, and on top of that, he did it to a "healthy" John. Most of the others were fighting him, while he was seriously wounded and tired down by the challenges behind him.
Kirill lost to handcuffed john wick. I don't think the other fighters on the list would have the same outcome.

I don't think Sofia would be able to handle Caine, with or without her dogs. I think the only ones who could possibly give Caine a really hard time are Zero and the two Shinobi. He wanted a fair fight, and giving a man(running on painkillers) who just blended an army a few minutes to breath is very fair.
Zero was John's fan. He looked up to him. Caine was John's colleague. He looked across to him. That is the difference.

Hands down Caine . He is a master like john , and he did it all blind , imagine how skilled and dangerous he was when he could see
They have to blind him to slow down.
he would have a different skill set if he werent blind, i reckon his senses especially his ears are enhanced which balances out his disabilities, he would most likely be not as good if he has both his eyes, because his skills are honed based on his disability.
@@them4licious0ne I understand what your saying, but where his skills set would be great making him more matched if not better than sick is his actual sight for shooting .

And I still think Cassian was better too.
...except that chidi also fought john after he was injured and exhausted. it ain't like he fought him fresh after a weeks long rest, he always ambushed him as he was focusing on something else, after fighting a hundred guys, and STILL lost every encounter. hell john doesn't even seem interested in fighting chidi in the end, mostly just running from him because he has to make his deadline.

not a chance. killa was a tank, but that's it. john didn't even have a weapon when he beat him to death. chidi would be harder like...c'mon. the dogs would bit his nuts and his arm/chest and then she'd pop him in the head, or slit his throat, or anything she wanted because he literally can't do anything with dogs eating him at the same time.
@malum9478 wouldn't this argument go against John as well though? Like what could John do differently?
@@kiksgreebo147 no it wouldn't because john has way more insane durability and is the best shot so he could probably injure the dogs before they did too much damage

Let's not forget, John we see in the movies is John who has gotten rusty after retirement. In his prime, he would've been far more deadly
this John was killing the high table and anyone else who wanted it. that John killed the fowking bugeyman.
Koji was wounded with a bullet when fighting caine. Dude was hurting and would have been better if completely fresh.
I want to agree...because I literally said the same thing when I watched the vid lol..but alot of these guys were injured and still came out victorious when fighting their opponents.
I would say the outcome would be the same for Koji even if he was not shot but if Koji was in his prime he would likely be equal to Caine
Remember before both Caine and Koji starting the duel? Caine says "i don't wanna do this" he saying this with confidence because he knows he'll beat Koji (healthy or injured)

He absolutely destroyed john after having his neck cut open and was shot lol
Don't think Sofia is actually beating Caine in a 1v1 regardless of his disability but yeah the dogs and her versus Caine would probably be too much for him. Caine vs Zero is a fight I actually think would be pretty up in the air. Caine without his disability seems just too OP.
Caine with his vision Vs wick is a movie in its self😂😂
the dog combo plus sofia's skills would be too much yeah. those dogs are scary man
I always have a laugh in the 4th film, when John goes for like 10/15mins non-stop from man to man, and when it's finished he's literally exhausted.
@iatealready which one?
Absolutely and bare in mind it was Caine who helped John meet the deadline taking care of Chidili in the process.
For number 11, bulletproof does not equal stab proof. There are stab resistant armor that you can buy to supplement bulletproof body armor. Her knowing to use a sharp arrow to penetrate the body armor of the high table shows how smart she is.
Yeah, there is a game theory video about it.

His name is Scott Adkins.
They should've worn Liquid Armor instead of just plain Kevlar.
He's Boyka before getting fat my friend
Bro how did Ares make 14? She got her ass beat so fast. 😂

because she still showed some fighting skill. its just she got her ass beaten by john wick wich isnt a shame
I am leaning towards the conclusion that Caine owns with blades and John owns with Guns.
john had been in those position multiple time he still managed to survive
Mr Nobody had the drop on John but held out for the money tho.
Didn't he took an arrow to the arm like it was nothing lol, such an underrated dude
He beat john in like every fight
@@bell5248 That's only because every time they fought, he waited until John was weakened and distracted by the countless other hitmen attacking him, and always took a cheap shot while John wasn't ready.
@@epsilon5808 lol thats bs
Killa never did that
He fought john straight on
John even attacked first
@@epsilon5808 Even in that case, at this point we can cross that out since John Wick can fight in any state.
They are fight a John wick past his prime, the prime years of earning the name baba yaga
in their brief fistfight, Chidi actually totally outclassed John - that combination ending with the body shot, only the traffic saved him
Chidi has the best pain tolerance out of any JW enemy.
Chidi would be 2 , remember John already was re trained and with all in all Chidi beat him up
John is the most overpowered easily just because he’s not as flashy of fighter as others but like they say in the movies what makes him the most dangerous is his sheer will and focus what separates him from the rest
Exactly
I think a really good fight would be between John and Caine, but both of them at 100%. That means Caine has his eyesight and John isn't at the tail end of five years' retirement. I think that would probably be the closest thing there is in this universe to an even matchup.
Zero was honestly my fav character
Too bad Zero could never be number One…
Zero was kinda weird.
he was a John Wick fanboy, so of course the audeince can relate to him
Honestly I would have ranked Marcus right below Aries, he was able to tale out a good amount of guys after being tortured and seemed like he was considered to be one of the few assassins actually capable of taking out Wick.
actually I would probably rank him above Aries.
Caine is my favorite fighter who isn't John. The use of the motion sensors to shoot three baddies is just too awesome. Bonus points for being a reference to the Japanese film character Zatoichi.
He reminds me of kenshi
As said here, John was constantly injured and pretty much always outnumbered and still dispatched everyone who challenged him. So I'll rank him #1 in everything in all these movies
In reference to Caine: I'm surprised that he didn't have more "neutralizing/debilitating" tactics.
Like just carrying around tear gas with him and not caring about not seeing in it, but completely having an advantage while fighting others in it. Attacking in the dark, etc. Using his blade to reflect light into his opponent's eyes to blind them.
The flashbang was the only thing close to the concept.
flashbang disorients human other senses too, including hearing, it is a different name for stun grenade

Idk i would argue between caine and john. Caine fought only after John killed like 30+ armored man. I think would beat him if he wasn't tired.

1:49 Thank me later.
