- today we make a new tegu enclosure out of a grow tent. i always recommend grow tents for tegus for a few reasons. they hold heat and humidity better for the tegu, they are cost efficient and over all are a great tegu set up for your tegu lizards.

Next time i suggest making a half box using 2x12 boards and a sheet of plywood, it can make a more stable and sturdy base for putting substrate in!

Sweet Ive been waiting for you to get an ac before me so you could do exactly this video. I like dem thiccc poles. 😂. I want to re do Bettys enclosure soon. The vivosun shes in is still holding with no issues. 😳that I know of 😅
They worth it. The vivosuns rust after a few years. I didn't have that problem with my ac and was able to bring it when I moved
Nice video bro. I just got a grow tent to use for my sailfin because of you. I like it alot. Holds heat and humidity very well, but just after 5 days l noticed some mold growing on my tree branches. Have your ever encounter mold in your grow tent? If so hope for you handle it and prevent it from happening again? Thanks.
Message me on IG I can help you. I'll state generally for people that may have the same to use a small computer fan to help circulate the air better. Usually mold growth is due to a lack of air exchange where the air becomes to stagnant couple with high humidity that these tropical reptiles need and it's an easy recipe for it.
@@Dakotahblueexotics l actually do not have ig. Do you have a fb? And yeah a sailfin dragon's recommended humidity levels are 75%-85%+. Will the air fan decrease humidity levels? Tbh l am pretty new to grow tents and a novice at reptile keeping. Thanks again.

@@Dakotahblueexotics honestly I would like to see more people using grow tents in the hobby like imagine a green tree python with like a mini apple or pair tree with the branches bent out around in a 3x3x6.5 and a 50 gallon cloth pot for the soil put some flowers or grasses on the bottom and have a really nice bioactive green tree python enclosure.
