yeah I need to make them a bit more often, working on an adventure vid right now. should be great. the van should be ready enough for some adventures by this fall hopefully
Always looking forward to new videos from you. They have become a standard for the TW owners. Glad to see your still alive and well. I was thinking maybe you did something really harmed yourself, like got married. But now I see the rear tire is needing to be replaced so you must have been riding. Go tdubs kid.
Thanks 👍 been working on the van and my other channel more lately. Got an Adventure video coming soon also. Haha not yet, Marriage is sketch these days unfortunately. Haha the rear tire still has some life left. Haven’t been riding much lately, been too cold
Installed those on my bike this past summer and they have held up well. Also have a van (Transit Connect LWB) and picked up a trailer this fall (too short to use a hitch rack) so looking forward to my own TW/Van camping adventures.
@@TDubsKid -mine was new, but meant to be customized as a work van which means I got to build up the interior how I wanted it with no need to pull out seats, etc.
@@TDubsKid thanks man..still pretty cold to drive up her in nova scotia..I'll be 62 this year so I got to get on the bike as fast as possible..time goes by fast! Have fun while your able 👍
The factory bolts are really hard to remove and install. I tried the aftermarket ones you had on your bike originally but those have their own issues so I will see about getting these quick release ones and hopefully they will work better. Thanks for the video.
yeah they are, your really need a socket and ratchet to get the OEM bolts off easily the first ones I tried were an upgrade but these seem to be event better.
@TDubsKid I did replace the key rings as they are cheap. I rolled my bike around the garage and the stock rear tire actually severely deformed the ring while they were dangling
Another great video! Love the TW mods, will be doing several of them on my own t-dubs. Btw; noticed the video is "unlisted", don't know if it's on purpose.
Hey thanks! Haha how did you find this?? Was it through the playlist? Sounds good. Yeah I was keeping the playlist unlisted until 3dub200 has more quick disconnects to sell, sold out at the moment
The photos on the eBay listing show the tether attached to the subframe a bit different than the way that you attached them in your video. Check it out! I like them! Would be even better if Yamaha made them standard equipment.
gottcha, yeah there are probably a few ways to do it but as long as they dont hang down or fall off it should be good, for sure or just made the seat come off easy with no tools and maybe a storage box inside
Hey sir I looking to buy a tw200 I found a 2000 tw200 with 1100 miles . Bike was elderly owned and stored in garage. SELLING for 3500 is buying a 23 year old bike with low mileage a bad idea ? What should I look for?
hey man Dakota adventures here if you ever make it out into North Dakota with your van and the T dubs if you're in my area I'll make sure you'll have a free spot in my campground if you need a place to stay Or park
Van racing down a back country road, then powerslides as about to stop, the back doors burst open as a Tdub, front tire high in the air leaves a trail of dust into the horizon...... "TDubsKid"
So would you ever get some other Dual Sport bike ... Really like your mechanical skills... You seem too bring shame to many would be mechanic's on the Tube... Hee hee just look up oil changes and I believe You'll see what mean (-: Anyways great job Kid!!
I thought about it but probably not now, I'm build a van, and the TW will go on the back, that's all I really need. thanks so much, helps that I'm a BMW mechanic I guess and also always like to learn new skills. much appreciated
well you are using them wrong. The Arm is not a lever to turn in with pulling the arm down releases the compression on the bolt which will allow you to spin them by hand.

Pretty cool! I had been thinking about making something like that to get the seat off quick and easy. Appreciate it man!!

I do miss the tdub videos, I do look a ack at some of the repair and product reviews.
yeah I get that. I'm working on a sweet adventure video at the moment. can't wait until the van is mostly done
when you get the van finished you should come out to central Washington! Lots of cool riding out here.
maybe someday, lots of cool forests out there

Not really
Do they clear the stock rear tire at full compression?
It would seem so, I bottom out my suspension a lot
