Just a quick note, those bolts are used for certain kinds of racks, and this mod would prevent you from securing the rack. My manrack rotopax mount is like that. Need to make sure you don't plan on using those bolts for anything before securing. I'm hesitant to put red loctite on anything. Cool idea though!
Yeah, blue thread locker is way better for this I think, but I already have my rack installed and don't think it will be coming off any time soon. Red is okay if you can heat it up before removal......but I don't plan on swapping these bolts out anymore.
Seems like a good idea. Think I'd put a ¼" piece of foam or something between the seat & bracket to keep the seat from clunking around. Not that it would matter when your riding 🤔
Yeah, you could do that if you want to! But, those studs and holes are machined so tight that it actually holds the seat pretty tight. It ain't gonna clunk at all with me sitting on it! 😂
I can remove my seat faster than any of these quick release after market seat pins and bolts and its cost about 3 bucks. you do have to have a rear rack which probably every tdub owner does. just screw 2 or 3 (I used 3) rare earth magnets in place of the rubber pads and your done. I have never lost my seat in any drops or wipe outs including wiping out on the highway at 60mph (yes that really hurt but I was lucky and walked away thank goodness for full body armor riding gear)
This is a great thing, I was going to order a set after seeing your video but they are out of stock- soon as they re stock I will order a set. 😎👍🏼
Hopefully they get them soon! I'm a fan of them for sure!
I like this mod! Thanks for posting 👍
You bet! They are pretty slick and nice to have!
Thanks for the video man. Got to get me a set of those.
You bet! They are easy to install and simple to use. I like simplicity!
I see you still have some snow.
Happy trails, Matt.
Hey Michael! Yeah, we just got about a foot of new snow last weekend.

You could use blue loctite. I'm pretty sure those bolts would definitely not back out with some blue on them. Vibration is the only real issue.

Slick, I like it!
They are awesome!
Awesome....omg I am definitely getting those!!!!!
Not gonna lie, they are pretty slick! Here's the link to them www.bradleyperformanceproducts.net/?ref=bfjxsx34
Great idea, I think I have a couple bolts I can drill through.
It is a pretty slick idea! If you don't wanna do you own, here is the link www.bradleyperformanceproducts.net/?ref=bfjxsx34
Did you buy the rack for your 2021 in black? Or did you paint it?
I think this one was!
Going to install these today, but I feel I got shorted...I only got blue lock tite!
That's actually better! It'll hold it tight but won't seize if you try to remove them later like the red will.
Great mod. A+
I agree Clark!
🤟🖤🤟
Thanks Atilla!
Want um!
Get em! They are worth it!
i can see debris ripping those cables when off roading
It would have to be some pretty gnarly debris to rip those out.....

Well there is a thought! Glad you were okay when you laid it down and were able to walk away from it. Magnets are a cool idea!
