I might have to come for a driver for in the next couple weeks. The black 6X needs an update and this TR is looking 👌 will have to put it up against the Pro 2.0 TS
Very interesting, the TR looks like a great fit for you. Course VLOG to come? I’ve got a Ventus Black 6x on the way from you to test up against my Ventus Blue 6x. Keen to see what happens. I’ve got nothing bad to say about the blue other than it feels like it gets a bit loose under the handle when I really go after one… I’d say it’s just me but the feeling is there. That being said, unreal ball speed, great mid flight and plenty of roll. My old shaft was a Hzrdus smoke and I was never really a fan of that shaft. Keep the content coming mate. I’m considering coming up for a putter fitting soon!
I’d agree that the blue can get a little loose when you don’t get it quite right. I know the Blue TR will work well but I suppose the head and shaft need to be a good match also. I haven’t played much lately so I’m looking forward to getting back out on the course when I can.
Nice review. TR seems to be the shaft for you but, seems the driver head my not IMO. looks like if you could get that spin down a bit with your speed you should pick up quite a few yards cary and over all?
I hit different combinations just about every time I play. I recently hit my longest drive with TR 6S and the Callaway Rogue ST Max LS. The old body changes daily too, so that’s always a consideration. Thanks for watching.
@@SydneyGolfTech seems like you can get better numbers on the TR Blue 6S vs the Red 6S. But which are you more consistent with? My swing speed and numbers are very similar to yours. I have the TR black 5S and don’t get the greatest numbers with it unless I swing very hard.
Great great great video! Thank you! Would love to see you try TR 5S! Btw please test the LTDx head, it's an amazing performer, I have about same speeds as you and I got a good punch of 160 bs with mine on a fitting using the RDX Blue 6.0 on trackman with RCT Pro V1x. Byw what adapter setup do you use?
I had great results with the Black 5S, so I’d say that the TR 5S would be good also. I generally just do the videos on standard settings and rarely change it from that when I’m playing.
@@SydneyGolfTech Yeah, could you please test Black 5S va TR 5S? We here in Finland don't have any proper fitting shops so we can't get to test these shafts so I just have to buy (order online) without testing and hope for the best.. Btw do you use Allfit adapters?
The Ventus seems to extract a lot of ball speed and the TR sounds like a great step forward. If someone were to drop a Ventus into a G425 head, given its a heavier head, would you need to drop the moveable weight some to get the SW down? Or it doesn't matter?
Hi Mark. I’d definitely look at reducing the movable weight if it’s already one of the heavier ones. Not all G425 come with the same head weight. It’s shaft dependent. Thanks for watching. 😃
Greg did you sense the 6S being on the heavy side? I always play a 6S but am a little worried about the 68g weight for the TR but also concerned the 5S might be too light. Cheers!
Not at all. Advertised weight, balance point and therefore swing weight all play a factor in how a shaft feels. You shouldn’t just look at advertised weight when comparing shafts as the balance point can be very different.
@@SydneyGolfTech I am very excited for your results! Look forward to the video. I have a dilemma- I like Blue TR but also like my clubs a bit longer so it is a tad heavy. On paper the TR blue 6x and TR black 5x are very similar (besides 8grams) I’m curious if that is just specs though and they would still feel pretty different?
Using the black Ventus TR VELOCORE 6X . Very stiff but took me 3 holes to get used to the stiffness and it was an amazing shaft.

Nice work w your videos. Would be interesting to see a head to head with Ventus TR Black 5X vs Graphite Design VF 5X. I would expect very similar.
Both too strong for me sadly. I have Ventus black 5s vs VF 5S coming soon.
@SydneyGolfTech
Great, that would be awesome!
Would like to see you pit the Ventus Black 5S against the Blue TR! Which would you think will come up tops? Keep up the great work mate!
That’s definitely a good idea. I’ll give it a go.
I just started gaming the tension 1K 50 gram stiff in my STZ @ 44 with a 3O6 gram head , it is a beast, did not like the feel of the Venus !!!
I agree! The Ventus TR feels like shit!
You in the big league 😂… maybe a perfect match with the red face driver for you Greg
I’m looking forward to pairing it to the big red face. 👺

In your experiment, how does the TR Blue feel compare to he Graphite Design HD shaft? Which one would u say spins/launch more?
I haven’t hit them one after another, so I can’t give an accurate estimation but I’d say they would be similar.
Have you switched to the TR Blue 6S for your gamer? Or are you still playing the Original Red 6S?
I’m currently playing TR Blue 6S, but I do regularly swap to try new products.

another great video, what is the cost difference between shafts
They are the same price.

No I don’t generally tip cut anything as per manufacturers tipping instructions. Thanks for watching 😃

That camo shaft on the shaft wall sticks out like a sore thumb! You really should get rid of it ;)
It does look nice on the wall 😎
