    As a golf enthusiast who mainly plays in Southeast Asia, I've naturally visited Thaniya in Bangkok. However, when it comes to purchasing golf club and stuff, I highly recommend Taiwan and Japan, primarily because the prices are more affordable.

    A shaft breaking low is covered under 2 year global warranty from Callaway. You just got finessed into a new shaft that should have been free. No receipt required.

      @@40YearOldGolfer No problem. Lots of golf shops don't mention this because they don't want to spend the time getting a order number and sending it back. The process should take about 5 weeks to get done. Samething goes for cracked faces on woods.

    dude. get a torque wrench for the club heads. they are all the same. all he did was fit a screw onto that shaft and tighten it. ok he didn't charge you a lot and it's good to know that guy - but you don't need them for every small job.

      Nothing wrong with Velocity balls. I've played virtually every major brand and model, the Velocity performs as well as any of them, and at a fraction the price. I played them last time I played and shot 78, for a weekend warrior they are fine.

    Just so you know Eragon is a Notorious shop in Thailand, well known cause as far as i know its the only shop that can custom your clubs properly, putters, wedges, irons.. I made a custom weld neck on my putter, and they also do custom paint, i forgot the term but its a proper coating with electromagnetic paint. You can see some example of their work in store ! I did it on my putter cause as you know, your putter can last you forever so why not give it a look you like.

    Hi I'm Dan from 🇨🇦 Listen when you arrive in Thailand, you don't want to go there first but rather at the end of your trip right? Because I'm gonna be spending on clubs too!! Other than balls , are there really deals to make? I don't know if you can buy and store until you leave? Thanks for the video

    • @40YearOldGolfer
      @40YearOldGolfer  8 днів тому +1

      Hey Dan, if you are traveling around Thailand, I recommend buying the clubs at the end of your trip. If you buy them first, I'm sure they would hold on to the clubs for you.
      Are there deals to be had? Yes, especially with used clubs and previous models. This is where you can find the best deals. Additionally, you can get a tourist refund on VAT and save an extra 6-7%.
      Remember to be cautious when buying used clubs, as some commenters have mentioned there are many fakes. Unfortunately, the fakes are sometimes so good that it's impossible to tell the difference.

    8000 TBD for a Callaway AI Smoke driver. This converts to $231 USD. Why is it so expensive to buy in the US and Canada? Is it do to import taxes?

    • @40YearOldGolfer
      @40YearOldGolfer  25 днів тому

      It was for the woods and cost 8,900 Baht ($250). Keep in mind that it was on sale. You can sometimes find deals like this in the West as well, but it's usually only when a new model is about to be released.
