    This was great. It is amazing (in a sad way) that this one video can teach a Christian more than a full year of sitting in most churches.

    Love having Jim on. Galatians 3:2-5 tells us that we received the Spirit by faith and since our justification was by faith it is not perfected by the law or flesh. This study really opened up me to teaching by the Spirit in Galatians. Especially chapter 3. Things I just read over before now pop out at me and make sense. Thank you for following the Spirit and teaching biblical truths.

    I’ve been watching your channel for a couple of weeks, Pastor Andy. You are very enjoyable to listen to and extremely knowledgeable about scripture.
    Thank you for this teaching. The last church I went to the pastors were abusive with their words toward anyone who disagreed with them.
    I was a voluntary receptionist. I was also enrolled in the Bible school attached to the church. Volunteering was getting in the way of my classes, as I needed to fill in for anyone who couldn’t make it and no one else would help out. I ended up missing my classes. When I told the pastor in charge, he shocked me by telling me I was a ‘loser’, a ‘quitter’ and someone who “would never be used by God because I wouldn’t finish what I started.” This wasn’t communicated in a pleasant tone of voice. I have broken that curse he spoke over me and forgiven him for his abuse. But, for quite awhile, I wasn’t completely sure God would forgive me for stepping down. I had prayed about this decision and sensed God was allowing me to remove myself. I couldn’t do both and had paid for the classes I was taking. I’m not sure I needed such censure when there were several other people to fill my place.

    What I have seen is that people tend to agree they they need grace, salvation is a gift because they know absolutely they bring nothing to the table. BUT, now that they are 'cleaned up', forgiven, sins wiped away, that they THEN are responsible to maintain it, be grateful, devote yourself and MAINTAIN what God has given you, otherwise you are a scoundrel and didn't deserve it and off with your head. And this is the sort of thing that keeps believers in FEAR and robs them of their joy and wonderment with Christ, takes the praise right out of their heart. Brothers this is the kind of thing I think grieves God and needs addressed as you do, 'cus God knows we can't serve him with that state of mind. He gave Christ so that we DON'T HAVE to go that route.
    He loves us too much to have us tortured like that - because of his gorgeous abundant love for us he desires to gift us ASSURANCE so that we may ALWAYS come to the throne of GRACE with boldness. WE do not come to that throne of grace after we have fasted a week or prayed 4 hours every morning for 5 straight days. Do we make our own kids jump through hoops before we will be gracious to them and their needs? I know myself that if my child asks me for something, especially in a humble way, I cannot stick my hands in my pockets fast enough to give them double what they ask.

    I don't get nervous. For 27 years I was in a legalistic church(s) and when I learned of the grace of God and had a new revelation of God's love, I fell in love so much with Jesus that I now want to live holy for Him. I now am in a wonderful church that teaches truth and God's grace and also end times properly as you wonderful men of God do. I at one time left the organized church and for three years I studied Clarence Larkin and Hal Lindsey and other wonderful estatology teachers. I learned how much wrong teaching I received. I'm free now andhave blessed assurance, Jesus is mine. I'm so grateful and watching and waiting for His return. Grace makes you live holier than you ever could under the law. I thank the Lord Jesus so much

    Dear Pastor Woods. I thank you so very much for your God-inspired messages. They have been and continue to be extremely enlightening and uplifting for me. I often pass your messages on to my Brothers in Christ in Kenya. There is MASSIVE confusion among those in Kenya because they have been inundated by so many FALSE TEACHERS and those looking for self gain.
    When forwarding your messages, I have seen a text come across my screen about copywriting infringement. I hope that you will believe me when I say I am not attempting to do anything wrong or damaging or illegal with your messages. I am only trying to help others by sharing your God-inspired teachings with those who need proper guidance, in a remote and unkind land. They also, are God’s Children and they are desperately seeking TRUTH! Thank you so much for what you do! Blessings and peace in Jesus Holy name! Amen!

      David Blackwell, we encourage the sharing of our information as long as the content isn’t changed and as long as it’s not sold for commercial purposes. Unfortunately, we’ve had to put a copyright warning on our material because what happens is people can copy right it themselves and then turn around and prevent us from using it. It’s a sad reality that can happen in 21st-century Christianity. So the copyright notification is more for our protection than anything else. We’re sorry if it gave you the impression that you couldn’t share our material, which is what we encourage people to do. After all, that’s why we put it out there. Thank you for your conscientiousness. God bless you.

    Thank you for the ministry you provide through these broadcasts, they are timely and informative! Also, thank you for your humility, as Jim's comment showed about the consequences of being out of fellowship were experienced personally by him. God bless you both and the people ministering behind the camera. P.S. I can't recommend Chafer Theological Seminary highly enough!!

    Thanks for this 2nd study on the consequences of sin in the life of the believer. I have never heard a sermon on 1 Cor 5:9-13 in my 24 years as a believer. I think that's partly because people find it uncomfortable and difficult to appropriate. None of us are immune to these situations. Great message brothers. God bless you both.

    I am a believer/follower of Jesus Christ. I struggle with the same sins it seems. I confess them out, repent (I truly feel badly for them) but I seem to go back to them over and over again. It is like Romans 7 "I do the things I don't wish to do but don't do the things I DO wish to do." My question is in your scripture reading you mentioned 1 John1:9 - we just have to CONFESS our sins and we are cleansed - but 1 John 3:6 says "Anyone who continues to live in Him will NOT sin. But anyone who keeps sinning does NOT know Him or understand who He is." I HATE my sin, LOATHE it. But I keep on doing it, I can be critical, snappy, rude, prideful, arrogant and angry - I hate these things but they keep popping up in my life no matter how much I pray, ask for strength to defeat them, or just plain try to "turn away" from them. 1 John 3:9-10 "Those who have been born into God's family do not make a practice of sinning, because God's life is in them. So they cannot keep on sinning, because they are children of God. So now acn tell who are children of God and who are children of the devil. Anyone who does not live righteously and does not love other believers DOES NOT belong to God." Does this mean that I am not really saved? Does this mean that I am losing my rewards?

    Very good. Something that needs clarification; having a sin nature, indwelling sin, then sin is always present. If this is so, how do we explain
    the ideal of being in uninterrupted fellowship with God and not being under discipline?

    The calvinist believe in sin confession, to another extreme level. They say if you don't confess your sins dayli ,God will kill you, and if you practice sin, you were never one of the elect.
    Blessings,

    Andy
    So glad you are explaining this for sinning is to lead us to be like the prodigal son, but our FATHER showed HE will always be waiting for us to return to HIM and ask him for FORGIVENESS and he will for HE LOVES US AND NEVER DISOWN US FOR OUR FOOLISH SINNING but waited for us to to return BACK!.FOR ITS NOT ABOUT SALVATION LOST BUT IS FOR GROWTH IN HIS WAYS

    • @OSAS-SIMPLEMAN-IN-CHRIST
      @OSAS-SIMPLEMAN-IN-CHRIST 5 років тому +1

      @FaithnCross
      I never said that, growth stops when we sin and if we don't ask for FORGIVENESS then we keep going down the wrong path just like the prodigal son did , but when we do ask for FORGIVENESS then growth in the SPIRIT grows again. We just don't loose SALVATION once we are saved!

    It's a good thing God's grace covers propogating false doctrine. The "Church" is rife with it. A restorative movement needs to take place: getting back to Pauline theology which answers the issue of the Gospel as pertains today, resurrection, sign gifts, and the Body of Christ in relation to Israel amongst others. Normative dispensationalism answers some but not all of these issues but has a way to go.

    Pastor would you also teach on the subject of divorce and remarriage- if there is any difference for men and women in the Word of God. Plus if there are differences between marriages to an unbeliever as with covenant marriages before the sight of God. Like in 1 Cor 7:15, what does nolonger bound mean? Is remarriage in such a situation acceptable to God? What if the departing party is a believer? Thanks 🙏🏻

    Carnal christians/believers in Christ Yeshua who commit sin mentioned in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, Galatians5:19-21 and Revelation 21:8 and do not repent and die in sin will not inherit the kingdom of Yahuwah (God) and will not be saved but shall have their part in the lake which burn with fire and brimstone. However sinners who commit above sin but repent, believe in Christ Yeshua, receive Holy Spirit and live according to His word ( Bible) before he die will be saved and have eternal life ( inherit kingdom of God). See Ezekiel 33: 11-16

    So you don't question Kenya's salvation? Then let me ask; do you always take someone's word for it if they say they are saved?

    • @AndyWoodsBibleStudy
      @AndyWoodsBibleStudy  5 років тому +5

      The issue isn’t do they say they’re saved, rather it’s how they say they got saved. If they’re trusting in some work, like praying a prayer or walking an aisle, then I question their salvation. But if they’re trusting in Christ alone for the safekeeping of their soul in fulfillment of John 3:16, then I generally take their word for it.
