    Many thanks for the review video, I'm considering to buy one as it seems a very nice pedal to practice at home. Not being a stereo pedal seems however a bit of a disadvantage to me, especially when using head phones. I noticed when you were playing pop the outcome of the learning part was that almost all style indicators were yellow which means not the perfect match for your song. I believe you have to keep the rhythm and chords simple in the learning phase and then build from there right?

    Hi, Appreciate your page. I have a question that perhaps you can answer. If I install a new sd card, then it formats, can I then just drag songs from my song library onto the new card or is there a process to follow?
    Thak you in advance,

    great machine sounds good but I have one concern every video I have watch super hero guitar players are demonstrating it which is okay but they are playing all these fancy tunes like blues jazz heavy metal but someone like myself who plays country tunes or Eagles Beatles etc.it would helpful to hear these styles of music and keep it simple so if I decide to buy this unit I can make up my mind if I want it or not. I am just saying not everybody playing music are super stars . Thankyou

      i hear ya, some of these complicated "songs" they come up w/ are kinda useless really...... but don't worry, the Trio can do super simple back tracks for us normal mediem skilled dudes....... also, u do not need the 5 loop model... thats silly, the origional is planety powerful enoufgh...... the trick is to teach it a super basic 16 bar tune... with no extra string touches, no getty-ups before u get goin :)..... get ur tune in the machine at a basic note leval.... then u can adjust up the style knob and it will make cool backing tracks that make sense n support u playing lead guitar.... to me that is what this is for, to practice leads..... ed sheerham apparently uses loops on stage and is a billionaire now so don't lsiten to me...... the Trio is amazing if u keep it simple...... these jazz tracks i see on utube are just meh :)

    There's more that it can do. For example press the 2-3-4-5 parts and record different parts of song like verse, pre bridge and chorus then put it all together with the sequencer.

    • @jonjeffries3265

      It'd be perfect (4me) if it would end the song in a natural way like slowing down with fills n last beat with kick n cymbal ('s)

  • @fungiformenow

    On the second recording, the pop tune, the trio interpreted the G chord as an Em. The demonstrators compensated, but it’s something to be aware of. Great practice tool tho!

    As another person says in the comments, it is the best test of the Trio that I have seen and heard.
    In addition to musically, which is superbly resolved with a simplicity and taste worthy of great applause, I'm also talking about sound, incredible quality.
    Since I am going to buy a unit, I would appreciate it if you could tell me if the guitar is recorded with microphones from an amplifier or if you have used pedals, it seems difficult to me that this sound comes only from the Trio.

    It could be much more useful if:
    1. Bass line and drum could be recorded as MIDI files and then exported to any DAW software to edit them. Guitar could be recorded as a wave file.
    2. Drum machine could be used while recording to keep the tempo.

      If you think of it as a recorder/ input (use anything keys/bass/guitar etc) - connect a drum machine -Turn the volume down on the pedal drum rhythm - that becomes a track - Connect a bass or a synth - turn down the bass volume - play in the exact bass line you require - OK so it turns into a bit of an (almost) auto accompaniment … but its just another way of using it …. quite good if you know exactly what you want to hear

    Lovely Spanish playing. Very tasteful with lots of feel. Question. Can the Trio follow you when you make changes in the song..say from verse to chorus to bridge and so on. By this I mean without sequencing it as a track, so that I can play straight live and the bass and drums follow when the chord pattern changes in the song ??

    • @koontzman123
      @koontzman123 4 роки тому

      You are supposed to stay under 32 bars for each part, otherwise they say Trio+ will start getting weird with what it thinks you are playing.

    Nice simple and effective review which shows how easy DT+ is to use and what a great practice tool it is. One small correction, holding the band button only deletes the part, pressing and holding the song button deletes the whole song. Love mine and hope to use it live when it's possible.

    Thanks for this. I think that I am right in saying that the looper does not have a recording capability beyond a couple of minutes for single line, which could be a limitation or drawback for some.
    That "funk" pop riff you played sounds like 'Sympathy for the Devil'.

    I am new at this and it seems like this box is only good for practice and not for live gigs. Not all songs are based on loops. I wish this box would follow your key changes without having to create loops. Wishful thinking here.

    I've earned several hundred using this pedal, the sound is good, the problem is, it's great when you hear it on the street but for the home user making jams, it is soooo repetitive - just gets boring after one year. Digitech should come out with a Trio Trio 3 - I bet it would be sweet if just more changes variations of bass and drum.

    This is great to get your ideas down QUICKLY, add them to a recorder and have more than just a click track to start with. Anybody leaving these sounds on their final recording is nuts. It's not expressive dynamicly and the sounds are crappy. But if you can't play drums and bass yourself I guess you are stuck unless you can insert the notes in as in step recording which takes forever, or your friends can play and you toss them a beer & biscuit for the help.

    • @koontzman123
      @koontzman123 4 роки тому +1

      It wasn't intended to use for recordings, but for practicing. That said, you could play in a one man show with this. There are enough embellishments and interesting drums in the 12 styles within each of the 12 genres. Also, the are 3 bass styles for each style.
