Nice report :) small issue the chaos nights should have failed there first charge (as the cliped the forest) rule is if any part of the unit toches then chose lower dice and minus 1 form the units movment. The 25% releates to when in combat/when charge ends
you cannot march and cast spells, champions always get to fight unless you allocate attacks into them even if you kill the front rank, you do not gain the close order +1 combat res if you are a single model
For the last point, I do believe you get the +1 combat res for a single model. Characters by themselves (unless a monster/behemoth) are not close order. Do you have page ref?
You do get the +1 for close order as a chariot your right @anthonycarter29219 On page 195 for heavy chariots (and then referenced back to that page from monsters and behemoths) you get all the rules for close order even when a single model
Thanks for the video! From watching many other videos, either you guys have a bunch of rules off, or they do… can’t wait for the books to know the difference! Keep On Gaming!
Was always a 40k fan, getting into the fantasy side now. Really enjoying your battle reports, helping me understand the rules. Just wondered what models you use for the chaos warriors? Look really cool.
Whoops: couple of the replies here got a bit messed up! Glad to hear your enjoying the change in scene and watching the channel! The chaos warriors are from teh Daughters of Vallyah (sp?) in the kislev-y range from Highlands miniatures
Hey mate: I know its not a particularly satisfying arguement for me to make but Ive been running with having seen the playtesters and been told by staff members running intro games at TOW release day at WHW playing the drilled rule allowing you to charge As to the charge vs movement has: the charging bit is a sub phase, like the remaining moves sub phase (in the first paragraph of p118) separate to the movement phase being a full phase. I also can’t see where drilled in mentioned to be phase specific although if you have a page number I’ll get on reading it! Well have to wait for an FAQ I suppose to get an official answer but in leu of anything else we’re going to hedge bets and go with what we’d seen at the release day
@@BearfootMiniatures Thanks for the info. Drilled says before move not charge move and I'd want to see it in writing before playing it like that. Going from Marching into fighting rank and marching or move shooting is powerful enough for 1pt/2pt per model.
Thanks for the battle report! FYI gnarled hide cannot go on chariot character! As the character is no longer 'infantry' this caught me out the other day!
You cannot charge after using drilled, as charges are done before normal movement an the free redress tge ranks from drilled is done immediately beforena normal movement and therefore after point at which you are able to declare charges
Page 118 of the core rulebook provides a good summation of what I'm talking about. The first sub phase of the movement phase is charge declaration, the second is charge move in which you either succeed or fail your charges, phase 3 is compulsory movement in which things like fanatics and vortices move and the final sub phase "remaining moves" is when you would be able to use Drilled, well and truly after the charge declaration sub phase.
@@niamhshannon6153 Drilled just happens before movement - so any movement, with charges being described literally as movement in the rules. There's no mention of "normal" or "remaining" moves, just all movement

Small mistake with the bray shaman, you actually can not trade for both the lore spell and the racial spell, you can only take one or the other.
Ehh good spot there!
@BearfootMiniatures Just an FYI S1 can wound up to T6 so actually viletide and hagtree fetishism is an awesome combo against knights

The magic missile and match thing we definately got wrong as we rectified it in the next game
I didn't think warhounds were able to use the generals leadership since they are beast? Or am I misremembering?
I’ll check now! I have a feeling you’re right!
I am the same, I like themed armies with a bit of story behind. Have some Slaanesh models from ages ago that will become a Slaaneshi Chaos warband. :)

chariots impact hits have iniciative 10 , strike first
With the dragon ogres going first there? Your right, I suppose it couldve made a difference to the dragon ogres getting full attacks vs 1
Also, did the Dragon Ogres forget to stomp the Warriors, or did I just miss it?

You cannot charge after using drilled, as charges are done before normal movement an the free redress tge ranks from drilled is done immediately beforena normal movement and therefore after point at which you are able to declare charges

Charriots get to march? Or only light charriots?
All Chariots get to March now :-) there is no restriction
