Celebrity Cruises Breakfast Food Tour (Buffet, MDR, Spa Café, Eden Café, Room Service) 2023

- See the breakfast options aboard a Celebrity cruise, updated for 2023! Checkout what food to expect for breakfast from the buffet, main dining room, Spa Café, and Eden Café (exclusive to the Edge-class ships). You can also see the newest menus for all the venues as well. All these food options are complimentary, included with your cruise fare- no need to pay extra.
These were from our Christmas holiday cruise on the Celebrity Apex, as well as our New Years 2023 cruise aboard the Celebrity Millennium.
Most of the food you see will be from the Apex, and we'll denote which ones are from the Millennium.
The buffets at the Oceanview Café were very similar between the Apex & Millennium, as were the main dining room (Metropolitan & Spa Café. And again only the Apex and her sister Edge, Beyond, & Ascent have the Eden Café, however.
Tip: On the Apex there was an espresso machine here that is complimentary, but is usually shut off by 1 or 2 PM.

Thanks so much for this! Most videos go gliding past things in a rush and you only hear something brief like "Here's the breads". It's really nice to see clear pictures with descriptions of the various items.
We'll be on the Apex in just 9 days and this has us ready to try breakfast in the buffet, Eden cafe, and MDR after seeing all this yummy food.

Back from December 12th to the 23rd I was on the Celebrity Constellation for a Southern Caribbean 11 night cruise. I was in Aqua class so ate each day in Blu dining room. The best part of the cruise was our 8 hour excursion through 3 locks in the Panama Canal. 87 degree temperatures for the entire cruise and then I came back to 4 degree temperatures here on Connecticut. I'm going the end of April for a 10 might on Celebrity Summit to the ABC Islands from Miami then repositioning to Bayonne NJ. Can't wait. Hi from Bob and Jill in Connecticut

Blu dining room sounds extra good- every time we walk past we get a bit jealous lol. Great to hear you had a fantastic Panama Canal transit. I have to say that the breakfast buffet was quite excellent and we probably ate there seven of the eight mornings that we were on the Millenium. Not only was the variety of the food fantastic but the quality is great. I could really get used to the Asian selections and the English bacon.

I think it was a standard 'belgian' type waffle. They have deeper squares and tend to be a bit crispier than the regular type of waffles with the shallower squares; they're also not really as filling, but are very good at holding fruit in squares.

The passenger in the video might have enjoyed the Belgian waffle a little more if she had poured the syrup on it as opposed to try to dunk it in its container.

I think it's great they offer alternative 'milk' products. It might not seem like a big deal but what it shows is Celebrity's attention to detail and their understanding of their clientele.

I did try 'grits' on a Celebrity cruise, all I can say is thank God for Quaker Oats.😵💫
Everything looked good except whatever that was they were trying to pass off as corned beef hash at 3:28 and the cement waffle and cardboard chicken/apple sausage poor Joanne struggled with. Too many choices! Fresh fruit is my weakness at the buffet and it all looked so fresh and sweet. Fruit, a couple of sausages and a muffin or two would make me very happy. Our second cruise was on Celebrity Millenium in 2005. One of their restaurants was called “The Olympic” and it was an actual dining room from one of Titanic’s sister ships, also named Olympic. The ship was dismantled in 1937 and a wealthy family bought an entire dining room and had it installed in their mansion in Rhode Island. When the mansion was torn down, Celebrity bought the dining room and installed it on the Millenium. It was VERY elegant and upscale to say the least. We had a very memorable meal cooked table side. Steak Diane and butter poached lobster. Probably the most memorable meal we’ve ever had on a cruise ship. Thanks again for your videos. I look forward to them! 😊
I actually think those were baked beans. Lol the. Brits eat them at breakfast along with black pudding and fried tomatoes.

Thanks for the history & story about the Olympic restaurant- sounds super delicious! We did see the "Olympic room" recently on the Millennium but I guess they renamed the restaurant or something.

Another great video. Generally, if we eat in the MDR, we always make a quick run through the buffet to see if we are missing something which means that we may eat 5-6 meals a day. Based solely on your videos, I would probably eat most breakfasts in the buffet as there is wider selection and it takes a lot less time. Also, the MDR breakfast menu is honestly, the weakest that I have seen anywhere in terms of selection. The smoked salmon bagel did have 2x the salmon you would get on RCL.
The funniest part of your video caused me to spit coffee all over the computer. At 17:07, the food label said, "Almond Croissant - May contain nuts." I would certainly hope so! Three more weeks.

Thanks! I probably missed it because I'm pretty sure they had it. If you go and don't see it you can ask a crew member nearby to get you some. Also they did have plant-based milk such as soy milk in case you're fine with using those.
Are the juices and smoothies covered by basic drinks package?
I think the Classic doesn't include those, but the Premium or the Zero Proof ones do

I was wondering if you have to get up super early and get all these photos right after breakfast opens? Because all the food looks so perfect and not picked over…or does Celebrity just do a great job keeping it looking fresh all the time? Another great video.
Thank you very much! 😊 Yeah you'd pretty much have to be up by 7:30 AM, otherwise it gets more crowded and tougher to take pics. But the crew does do a great job keeping dishes refilled and the counters clean.
New viewer here. I was a bit disappointed at the flat French Toast at the buffet.If you tried it in the restaurant was it better? I'm thinking of an Alaska cruise with Celebrity or a transatlantic crossing. Aloha from Hawaii
Aloha! We didn't get a chance to order the French toast at the MDR breakfast. The menu did indicate it was "Vanilla-flavored", so maybe was better, but it'd probably be similar to the ones from the buffet.

What do you think of infinity ship?
It's one of the older Millennium class ships, but should be very enjoyable nonetheless. The buffet food probably won't be as good as the newer Edge-class ships, however. Main dining food should be quite good.
Looks good, even a bit more choices than Rotterdam I think. I like that this had some pre-made omelets and frittatas. It seemed like if you wanted eggs in the Rotterdam lido, either you get scrambled or wait in a line at the omelet/benedict station. I don't recall seeing any frittata/quiche/other egg creations on Rotterdam lido (unless they were at omelette station, with tons of people lined up, making it impossible to just cut the line for frittata....).
Yeah definitely a good selection- I did forget to note that the pre-made omelets were only on the Millennium, which seemed to have a few more items than the Apex. We did try the frittata in the main dining room and that was pretty tasty.
Do you eat all the dishes you show or just sample ? would be an awful waste of food if not eaten . lol I know I eat more on my cruises !
We definitely eat most of the food since it's for 3 people 🙂

You have a lovely taster assistant there with honest and detailed commentary. I enjoyed watching her enjoy all the offerings. I agree with her that the waffles looked too crunchy; they're supposed to be fluffy! Was that real maple syrup? Doubt it! The eggs benny were on burnt muffins. That's not a good look! The scrambled eggs were all watery and gross looking. We have a Celebrity cruise in March, I hope we have better choices than what I saw here!
Yeah that didn't make us want to try it- the omelet looked much better and tasted right. Let us know how it is for you in March- have a great cruise!

Between the 3 of us (2 adults & a hungry teen), we usually eat most of what you see tasted.

You said this was from a Christmas cruise so how can this be an update for 2023? Many changes occurred in January 2023.
These were from a B2B on the Apex & the Millennium, and some of these were from the latter cruise which carried into 2023 🙂
