Thank you guys so much for this video. We sailed with MSC in 2017 and didn’t enjoy it as much as we’ve enjoyed other cruise lines. According to your video,they have obviously improved insome areas and i am pleasantly more excited about our annual up coming(her) Birthday/Anniversary cruise. Once again thank you so much!!! Lots of food choices and looking good, don't understand why so many people had bad comments about MSC buffet. I will be on board the Seaside in November, will try them myself. I am sure most of them are better than my cooking!
Seems like the more I see what other cruise lines are offering, the more I’m drawn to Princess 😂. Got halfway through the video, and I did see something I would enjoy. The Fish & Shrimp (poached white fish filled with Old Bay shrimp mousse in seafood bisque). The chicken casserole looks great! Also, love the panna cotta. Lots of other things in the regular buffet I would enjoy now that I’ve gotten through most of the video. Pineapple-lemongrass crumble??? Sign me up! Took me a moment to open my mind, but I think I would enjoy this. Thanks for another wonderful video, you guys!
Yeah agree with you that Princess has better food overall vs MSC, despite their improvements. Didn't get to try the chicken casserole, but yeah that fish & shrimp dish was good. They had some interesting dishes like that pineapple-lemongrass crumble & fruit loop tart. Thank you very much for the comment Scott! 😊
In my opinion- I don’t think the choices are terrible. I would definitely be able to survive the week between the buffet and MDR. I also don’t think specialty dinner is absolutely necessary, although I would book the steakhouse… for the reasonable price of the cruise, food is fine!
Looks good! Somebody worked hard on those tamales. I make them a couple of times a year (50 at a time) and freeze them. They are a lot of WORK! But worth the time it takes. The cheesecake selections kept catching my eye and of course all the Asian choices. We are still dragging our feet booking an MSC cruise. We are 13 points away from making Diamond on RCL and we’re a little obsessed with getting there. 😆 We’ll be on Wonder of the Seas at the end of October. Thanks for the video!

Our pleasure! 😊 Yes they would be labeled gluten-free, but double check if it doesn't seem right to you, because we found some dishes were labeled as vegan when there were tuna or cheese in them.

They do usually limit you to 1 appetizer, 1 main & 1 dessert. But at the complimentary main dining you can order as many appetizers & desserts as you want, though main entrees beyond the first costs $5 extra.
I'm trying to watch all your Meraviglia videos. You do a great job on showing and talking about your food. Since we are only allowed one free meal this is giving me a great idea on what I will order on my October Cruise. Is there anything you highly recommend. 🐸
Thank you! 😊 Yeah with the $5 charge for extra dinner main entrees, it's now more important to know which ones to order. For MDR dinner there were many good dishes, but we especially enjoyed the short ribs, lobster, filet mignon, grilled salmon (available nightly)- just to name a few.
We only saw that one time during the cruise on the 4th day. That mobile fresh mozzarella station is available everyday, but we're not how long it's there because it's not available the entire time that the lunch buffet is open.
As a native Chicagoan, I’m kind of skeptical about how the pizza was. The crust looked too “bready” (is that even a word?). I’d prefer if it appeared flakier. What did you guys think? They have those fruit tarts every day for lunch at the kids buffet, but yeah only saw the smoked salmon once during the cruise for lunch. Many interesting desserts as well like the raspberry & lime "brick" (dense cake I'd imagine).
I would have eaten the pork loin. But, i think day 4 unique the food was not appealing to me. Joanne rocked it in the clothing area again. I am an 81 yo woman and can appreciate good choices in clothing.
Great video. Honestly, I am really not impressed with the selection. It almost reminds me of Norwegian with all of the hamburgers, hot dogs and pizzas . Probably will skip MSC unless I can get a comped cruise

Yeah we think so as well- the savings can even more than cover a specialty dining package and drinks package vs base fare for other lines.

The MSC Buffet looks much better that the one on Carnival.
