- Isuzu has updated the D-Max family with a BS6 compliant 1.9 litre diesel engine across the range which, aside from being better for the environment, also gets more power and torque. And the Isuzu DMax 2021 lineup also has a new two-wheel-drive entry-level variant, the Hi Lander . We take that and the top spec V Cross Prestige four wheel drive variant for a drive on road and off road to find out what's changed and whether the bump in price is justified.

What do you think of the 2021 Isuzu D-Max range?
It is a piece of obsolete crap that is being dumped in our market. If the manufacturer is serious about our market let them launch their newest products at the same time like their other markets.
Underrated. Overpriced.
Under powered now
Such a heavy SUV with a 1.9 litre engine simply is not convincing.
@@adityakrishna6016 firstly go and drive Isuzu then bark such comfortable vehicle some UA-cam kids like you just comments with out driving the vehicle. Isuzu is one of the best diesel engine maker
If you watch Anshuman Bishnoi on youtube then you might surely be knowing that how much capable this suv truck is.
That twin locked beast is exceptional.
In this age of internet and informed buyer the company decides to launch an outdated model and under estimating the Indian buyers. Hats off to the courage of the company!
That too by increasing price heavily 😂😂
It is definitely overpriced. I remember when it was launched it was quite affordable, I wanted to own it. But now, I don’t think I will want to spend that kind of money on this pickup. Especially without basic feature comforts. Engine is underpowered for a car that weighs nearly 2.5 tonnes.
It's 2 ton and yes overpriced now
@Nandan Pavithran yes ex showroom. On road was 14-16 lakhs max.
@@siddarthkalaga4600 we have the Isuzu dmax 2016 . We bought it for 15.67 lakh on road in jalandhar, punjab . It is not worth the money now because it has a smaller engine and all the features are same except for cruise control and automatic gearbox
@@yuvrajsinghchohan2398 i am sure that you are not owning Isuzu 😆 such comfortable and powerful vehicle no owner has this experience
First go and drive it before saying
I want this guy more often in the reviews now ;)
Made my day 🙌

The new D-MAX in the Philippines must be available in India, It’s better than before. India 🇮🇳, our prayers are with you.
Love,
Philippines 🇵🇭
❤️✌🏼
Value-for-money wise, it's a joke. I just fail to understand why some companies sell their dated car versions in India while outside of India their respective latest ones are burning the tarmac. It's not only Isuzu that's doing this but take the example of Duster, Polo and maybe some more. Ecosport is a fantastic car but so dated. Maruti Swift is again great but same story. I think these companies take we Indian customers for granted for the fact that we will buy these great cars anyways even if they are decade or a half old. We justify after buying these earstwhile superb cars that so what if these cars are dated, look at the engine, ride and handling. I'll just wait for the Scorpio, Jimny and XUV7OO. Why do I spend my hard earned money on some second grade product which maybe able and stable in its deeds but stale and pale in current standard of creature comforts.
Will be waiting for a comparo between the V cross & Hilux when it'll be launched
Stay subscribed for when that comes!
F-550 ranger ka bhi wait kar lw
At this point Isuzu is just mocking us.
We are looking at this model while the rest of world is using updated dmax🙄
Sunroof wala part legit 😂🤣
🤣
Isuzu vcross me bhi sun roof chahiye 😂😂.
Why did thy not give it a proper update.... The interior of global varient looks much better & has a lot of extra features too..
🤷♂️
First of all it overpriced, Secondly it is old model where is all over the world allmost every country got in facelift and lastly this engine is underpowered 1.9L vs 2.5L . Which one you will opt?
The 1.9-litre engine actually has more power and torque than the 2.5-litre engine, but it still isn't what you'd call powerful
Dear Evo India, please bear with my rant. I am curious to know if you make your money on youtube clicks or do the auto manufacturers pay you to do these reviews. Please let us viewers know so that one can decide if it is a commercial or an actual review while watching. There was a mention by the reviewer talking that Isuzu is big on safety and blah… 2 airbags are mandated by the government so Isuzu is not doing any favours to our market.. what is your justification for adding side and curtain airbags for auto prestige variant and not on the manual prestige variant? Baffling.. why are tcs and other safety rech removed on the manual 4*4 but available on the auto variant. Price on the 1.9liter engine auto in bs4 spec was around 17 lakhs if I recall correctly.. now surely rewriting engine maps on the ecu and etc to suit bs6 wont double the price or unobtanium is not being filled in the cats to make it so expensive.. Isuzu India has just considered our market as crap and has decided to dump these outdated obsolete crap on our roads while the all new versions are being sold in the APAC region.. what is the reason for it? Isuzu has a full fledged plant in Andhra Pradesh from where they export fully made vehicles to foriegn markets.. so dear Evo you must mention why we are being treated second grade.. when you mention about safety tech it has to be uniform across the model range if the manufacturer is serious about it.. convinience and luxury can widely vary across model specs.. on road price in Andhra Pradesh for the vcross automatic is 29 lakhs now and before lock down the auto vcross with 1.9 liter engine was about 17-19 lakhs.. I urge you to research better for your content in your future videos.. and if possible be bolder to call out Obsolete junk as junk and dont sugarcoat stuff for the benefit of your avid viewers
4x4 much needed in Highlander
I agree!
@@carswithkaran and auto Ac as well
Absolutely Loved your Review Man!
Thanks man 🙌
The current gen international variant looks more aggressive and it's hell of a lot modern and feature rich than the Isuzu available in India 😐
Yes, that is true!
So if I use it for transporting commercial goods in the Boot only ,will there be any issues from traffic cop ?
1000th like was mine.❤
isuzu D-Max, Toyota Hi-Lux, Ford Rapdor & Mitsubisi L- 200 are very famous double cab trucks in nepal 🇳🇵
The least isuzu could do is give a 4×4 system on the highlander
Very disappointing
It'll be interesting to see how the Hilux compares with the Isuzu in terms of pricing
Yep, Ford Ranger too!
the best part was last
❤️👍
Love the dmax but I would rather buy a bolero camper 4x4 and do some minor mods
😍
Great vehicle, but Isuzu needs to market it better.
I'm not sure if Indians realise but Isuzu is offering a new dmax in the Australian market but sadly in India it's just the same design with few tweaks.
Being an Isuzu lover for so long, I'm disappointed to see the same car getting a minor facelift and such a huge price hike. Isuzu should bring latest gen to India. period.....This is no more a value for money car.....
Not much has changed. The variant available internationally is leaps and bounds better.
Tata Hexa safari lifestyle pickup 🔥🔥🔥🔥
AP 39😳. Kadapa vehicle?
Men will be Men 3:51
It sure turns heads!
You are reviewing the old model. Overstocked items needed to be sold
Only if Hi lander came with 4wd... It would have been a more affordable option.
first, drop tyre pressure when hitting rocks. Otherwise you dont know how it feels to offroad with the Isuzu. I have a 2018 model: Its a real great car to use, both on an off the road with very low maintenance costs. You only pay for the mods and frils you want to add on. In India, night lights are important, though illegal unless registered.
Hey Guys, when is the Hilux coming?
Somewhere in January.
The world already has the new model but we still get this.🤣
Thar: Hold my beer!
Such a shame this car is. This model is underpowered, pricey and not even the one which looks beefier.
There should be high lander 4x4. Most people will buy.
Bring that 3L diesel this engine is too tiny for such a a big pick up
Suddenly I feel the front of v cross looks weird
It is unchanged from before though 🧐
Incomes the Hilux and the Isuzu is dead, for good at that ☠️
Hilux won’t be cheap.
Go and drive Isuzu Hilux is good but don't degrade Isuzu. Isuzu is world class diesel engine maker
5 years back it was 12.5 ex shw
Better buy used one..
Very sad & disappointed ,was expecting a updated version from Isuzu , with such a steep price hike. Hope Tata reintroduces their Xenon which is really worth it's money.
first comment
Screw Isuzu, for giving us, Indians an old model! You shall reap, what you sow!!
High lander 4x4 will sell
Wtf! Is that a tree in the middle of the road at 4:51 ?
#SaveTrees
wt** they made a road in middle of a jungle
Just replant it.
Wayyyy over priced.. Was waiting for the launch.. Features and updates don't justify the increase.. If Hilux is available for same price I would go for it..
ना four wheeler casualty video
Sunroof is still missing!!😏😏
what abt MuX?? No Idea, what Isuzu India is upto!!🙄🙏
Angrez chale gaye lekin apna product yahi chor gaye 😂
It feels so stupid to buy this trallla at 30 lakhs that too an older model😑🚬
Overpriced and not expected
This is what they say you digging your own grave🥴
I think it's over priced now

Sad review man
Buy a used one if you want affordable Isuzu... Other than that I don't see much value. If Mahindra can launch its Scorpio based pickup, it might just eat Isuzu out.
You call that offroading and worst is you use downhill traction for that 😒@🤮🤮🤮
Nice review of a shitty car.
