I think the looks are much worse then the thar but the gurkha has a locking differential which is good But the gurkha it has a towing hitch which is useful idk why soo many indian cars dont have a towing hitch
I feel really happy to see my childhood auto mag is improving massively on their content writing. And transitioning to more casual to keep up with times yet equally informative as ever reviews
15:11 Look at the puny Thar! For those who are still complaining about the interiors, fancy features, power and refinement, this gurkha is light years ahead of it's predecessor. Let's give Force company their due credits for what they've improved. For kia, creta, and other fancy suv lovers this isn't in your league.
Force has maintained the classic design of Gurkha .. it's interiors.. having descent instrument cluster and MID. It's purely a off-roader suv not just a fancy looking suv. It's for them who are looking a pure off roader and are enthusiasts. Don't insult a legend by calling it after market..
Loved the review : It's not for someone who's here for show off and loves fancy stuff too much , it's for those who wants to get the things done in Hardcore way easily . Damn! This thing is cool.Yes the power figures are mediocre and interior still needs improvement. But that's not it's strength . It's off road go anywhere attitude makes it a combination which is difficult to ignore.
Siddhesh, good that you brought up the 2.2 liter OM611 Benz engine that Force motors had moved to more than a decade ago. Pity though that they have returned to the boat anchor of a OM616 derivative engine while they should have moved to the OM646 or the OM651 engines by now. These engines are 2 liter units with aluminium heads. No matter how good the bells & whistles are, Gurka is not going anywhere until they take the powerplant seriously. Even their awesome bread&butter Traveller van is abused. What weighed 1.9 tons with the the OM611 engine now weighs more than 2.2 tons with this engine ‼️ Mediocre car but extraordinary review ‼️😉👏👏👏👏
I believe having some old school settings are good especially in an offroad vehicle, If its automated, And if it does not respond well, u might get stuck there with an ALL POWERED OFFROADER!!
When you got stuck at the dip deliberately, I was wondering if you will talk about diff locks and you did in an instant. Full marks for the review indeed, one the best by Autocar 👍 And I feel so proud the Gurkha and Thar are Indian cars with proper off-road capabilities comparable to the Americans and Europeans.
From 12:12, the statement that "the Gurkha will achieve in 2WD what most SUVs will not achieve in their most hardcore setting" sums up what and for whom Gurkha is meant for. An amazing machine. Force, please provide us good dealers and After Sales and Service 👍
Absolutely wonderful nikhil.. You nailed it with your superb explanation of this serious off roader. I certainly enjoyed your informative speech and all the best for your future endeavours and this gurkha too..
This is truly amazing review, especially when Nikihil said this is not a one trick vehicle anymore. Cabin is livable has all the necessary features. Wonder how many variants of Gurkha they realised
Another belter of an off roader. Just keen to see how do these vehicles drive in terrain like Ladakh and Spiti where there is gravel, light roads, snow etc. A comparison video would be informative.
Big Kudos.. Contents' Quality have gone up multiple folds.. nd Buddy U are doing awesome... "No Gurkhas are harmed in the making of this Video... !!!!" Full marks ..No questions asked
Very nice design. Easy to use. Looks good. But still basic features for this on-road price. Engine performance is an added advantage in this SUV. To be a tough Tusker need to add more. Force has done its best.
The best thing about the review was not the car or cinematography it was good editing as in no excess background music and most importantly the cheerful narrator who was himself very happy in the process of crossing obstacles
It's easier to improve when you're just starting but Autocar has been in the game for so long and they keep raising the standard despite being already on top. This Magazine/Channel is in the league of its own, would love it if they enable commenting option on their older videos.
imo, as a primary/only car -- Gurkha is for someone (&family) who really often goes real offroading & is really ok with no creature comfort mordern features
Gurkha is a better option than Thar for those who don't have a high budget for a side vehicle. Very good review, Autocar India was used to be boring, I really loved this video though. Great job keep it up.
no nonsense offroad electronic , proper manual lockers ,zero maintenance,go anywhere, long lasting mechanical things, never thought can see non electronic off-roading machine this days. thank u force
Something about its approach to have less digital tech seems very pleasing.... It has that nostalgia feel of actually driving a car with basic tech features
Top class review buddy. Off-roaders are meant to be simple and practical. India has real potential to produce affordable world class tough SUVS. I am extremely happy with my Thar and this one is so interesting too. What a great time for desi travel enthusiasts.
Happy to see force worked on gurkha very well. Improved looks, interiors, engine. I think gurkha can be a sensation in market also improve its sales.Thar waiting period is an advantage for gurkha sales.
Bolero/Sumo - g wagon Force gurkha - 3 door g wagon Thar - Jeep Wrangler Bolero neo - defender (not really tho) New Tata safari - Land Rover discovery Tata harrier - Land Rover discovery sport
Our force cruiser is just the same but bigger and more commercial based. And we have used force gama, then 2 old gen cruisers and now the new cruiser, and i can say its engine, differential and transmission and so good quality that even after3-4 lakh km you will never need to get them repaired. Love to force!!
90 BHP in a vehicle this size, they should get the 2.2 back! Also, the finish of the dash needs an upgrade still. All this only if they want the vehicle to survive, competing with the Thar will be another story altogether.
Everything is look like after market Color Alloys Dashboard Infotainment Tyre pressure Accessories on exteriors Head lights But but Really impressive And force did extremely good work Mainly if u talk about Difference from older to newer one🏁
Practicality:yes Feauturistic:no Engine hp:underpowered No Gurkas were harmed:yes Easy ingress or egress:yes Ladder frame chassis sounds a Anxiety kick starter on highways. Changes in the rear look and a more compact boxy body will have head turners. Thank Auto Car for a realistic experience.
Yeh purely off roader hai.. iske hisab se interior sahi hai.. aur better ho sakta tha.. it could have beat Thar. Lekin chalega.. design aur engine iska thar se better hai waise.
Bro there is a reason for that. They dont want to keep the ownership cost high. They have improved vastly on engine quality and component are much better jolted now. Atleast that how they look like
my major attraction toward Gurkha was its diff locks and front live beam axle , :'( now without front beam axle , I will go with thar petrol manual any day.
I liked the front view . And I have some 2 suggestions that is * If it is come with 4 door or bunch it more amazing * Need a convertible top or a small sunroof that s make more good
Nikhil has matured a lot in his journey of Autocar, and has developed the necessary skills. Enjoyed the video.......still a long way to go for Nikhil, but he is taking long strides.
The Force Gurkha is now on sale priced at Rs 13.59 lakh (ex-showroom). What do you think of the price, and would you have one over a Thar?
I think the looks are much worse then the thar but the gurkha has a locking differential which is good
But the gurkha it has a towing hitch which is useful idk why soo many indian cars dont have a towing hitch

Isn't it a multinational?

Does anyone knows that, Force Motors is the proud engine builder of BMW india & Mercedes-Benz india!! 😍
What? Tell us more plz
Really? I didn't know that.. Pls specify
Yes .. I knew ..
So what? They only build it . The engines are designed by bmw and merci itself.
Yet they make their own cars underpowered😢

Mediocre car but extraordinary review ‼️😉👏👏👏👏
Glad you liked the review. Yup, the 2.2 would have been better, the Merc 2.0 would have been great!
Surprise surprise 🤩... At 12:28 am, Autocar india things
A very good morning to you! :-)
I believe having some old school settings are good especially in an offroad vehicle,
If its automated, And if it does not respond well, u might get stuck there with an ALL POWERED OFFROADER!!
I was amazed how Nikhil was looking small infront of the Gurkha. The other time it was the defender 😀
Can't wait to see this car being modified into g-wagons😂
I was thinking the same. 😂😂
It is already a one from the front, branding aside 😆
Very soon, Indian car UA-cam will be full of it
Exactly🤓
Karol bagh for the win
The front GURKHA badging looks interesting, like those American rugged SUV's feel. similar to FORD or GMC.
But the plastic the badge is sitting on looks flimsy and doesn't give a rugged feel at all.
When you got stuck at the dip deliberately, I was wondering if you will talk about diff locks and you did in an instant. Full marks for the review indeed, one the best by Autocar 👍

Now options are like .. Gurkha -> Thar -> compass 4x4 -> Wrangler
Absolutely wonderful nikhil..
You nailed it with your superb explanation of this serious off roader. I certainly enjoyed your informative speech and all the best for your future endeavours and this gurkha too..
Thank you Kishore! Glad you liked the review :-)
This is truly amazing review, especially when Nikihil said this is not a one trick vehicle anymore. Cabin is livable has all the necessary features. Wonder how many variants of Gurkha they realised
Nikhil: I’m just under 6ft tall. Nails it every time with that line.
I'm 6'3", and still feel I should have been at least a couple of inch taller.
Hehe! Public service announcement
@Scoyco Century nope!
Give that thumbnail designer a raise. Loving the newer Thumbnails
We got a facelift too :-)
This (S)UV makes the Thar look like a soft roader.
Yeah it's offroad capability is better than that
Have you guys seen the capability of thar? ?
@@_RickyAbraham imo the older one was much more flexible. I am not sure how newer one would be accomodating in tougher terrains.
Thar is never a soft roader.
Proof : YT shorts
@@_RickyAbraham Gurkha is much better . Offroad
Finally there is something to compete with the Thar.
Another belter of an off roader. Just keen to see how do these vehicles drive in terrain like Ladakh and Spiti where there is gravel, light roads, snow etc. A comparison video would be informative.
It will b easy for this 😎
Night uploads hit hard especially Gurkha 😍😍🥰
Big Kudos..
Contents' Quality have gone up multiple folds.. nd Buddy U are doing awesome...

Full marks ..No questions asked

I think you mean Force has reached its best..😁
The best thing about the review was not the car or cinematography it was good editing as in no excess background music and most importantly the cheerful narrator who was himself very happy in the process of crossing obstacles
Which location was this shot at? Great review as always! Will look forward to a Thar comparo
Darakwadi outside Pune :-)
Finally the beast is here probably I'm booking this vehicle...
The interiors have progressed from 1990 to 2000 . Still 20 years behind.
True, also the cabin didn't attracted me much.
It is only for hard core off-roading
Please own a seltos or creta 😏
Honestly.
It's easier to improve when you're just starting but Autocar has been in the game for so long and they keep raising the standard despite being already on top. This Magazine/Channel is in the league of its own, would love it if they enable commenting option on their older videos.

The much awaited one...
Beautifully done autocar...
🙌🙌❤️❤️👌
Absolutely, long time coming... 😎
no nonsense offroad electronic , proper manual lockers ,zero maintenance,go anywhere, long lasting mechanical things, never thought can see non electronic off-roading machine this days. thank u force
Something about its approach to have less digital tech seems very pleasing.... It has that nostalgia feel of actually driving a car with basic tech features
for everyone waiting on the jimny , FORCE got your back .
The grill should have become more agressive and the badging should be sharper (my opinion)
Cheers To AutoCar India for this drive review 🤩😍❤️
Great review and he kept adding a few funny bits throughout! 😂
Excited for the jimny to join the gang:-)
Nailed it force and AutoCar India
Thar vs Gurkha will be the best review of Autocar
Another outstanding review by Autocar!! I think very soon Autocar will be the most viewers car channel on ▶️UA-cam.. Kudos!
Top class review buddy. Off-roaders are meant to be simple and practical. India has real potential to produce affordable world class tough SUVS. I am extremely happy with my Thar and this one is so interesting too. What a great time for desi travel enthusiasts.
Thanks! Yeah, the Gurkha is an off-roader first and foremost, and it does a damn good job of it! Glad you liked the review
🙏 Thanks for this video. I have been waiting for it since so long
This is one the best video I have seen ❤️❤️
Happy to see force worked on gurkha very well. Improved looks, interiors, engine. I think gurkha can be a sensation in market also improve its sales.Thar waiting period is an advantage for gurkha sales.
what a timing.....12:30 AM 😅
This gurkha can compete with Thar, but will be a target for serious off-roaders and who needs something unique.
Reviews by Autocar India brings out the quest of watching every reviews and I fantasize to buy every vehicle reviewed by them
Very comprehensive review of this new vehicle....nice Job Autocar India
Bolero/Sumo - g wagon
Force gurkha - 3 door g wagon
Thar - Jeep Wrangler
Bolero neo - defender (not really tho)
New Tata safari - Land Rover discovery
Tata harrier - Land Rover discovery sport
Exactly
Looks good.... What about the pricing???
The wheels and tires looks smaller compared to the body
Yeah
True
Better than hector and harrier
I feel the same
I have just booked Bolero Neo. I think I am gonna stick to it. Although Gurkha's offroading ability is unmatched.
Wow. I like your style of presentation. Thank you for the review.
Gurkha even getting stronger in war and and manufacturing. ...Nepal ..best of luck 😍😍
Force must work on spare part availability across their network
Watched all 3 videos of force Gurkha 2021 , but autocar is playing it at next level
Awesome review Nikhil. It had everything that a Gurkha buyer would need to know. Keep it up 👍🏼
It charges up my mood before going to bed
Force nailed it 💯
We would like to see Thar with Gurkha on the same roads! That would be fun to see!
Our force cruiser is just the same but bigger and more commercial based. And we have used force gama, then 2 old gen cruisers and now the new cruiser, and i can say its engine, differential and transmission and so good quality that even after3-4 lakh km you will never need to get them repaired.

i think autocar hired a new video editor, yeah this one is best.
Everything is look like after market
Color
Alloys
Dashboard
Infotainment
Tyre pressure
Accessories on exteriors
Head lights
But but
Really impressive
And force did extremely good work
Mainly if u talk about
Difference from older to newer one🏁
After all it landed. Thanks Autocar
India Automobile scene is getting better. We have the potential and should focus on becoming global leader in automobile manufacturing.
The led DRLs and led headlamps reminds me of g63 😅 although force has nailed it!
One day this Force Gurkha will be Indian Gwagon with either as V6 or EV variant
You should test Nexon EV on this trail.
Excellent review, Nikhil.
Thanks Anubhav!
Looks fun to drive, I live in the US and I would definitely drive one of these. I hate all the automation on modern cars and trucks.
Great review. Is the snorkel fixed or removable? It looks odd. For occasional off-roading, it is not required.
Drove it today in serious off road today. It just moves.
Please publish Gurkha vs Thar. Waiting for full detailed comparison... Great vdo!
Where is the location? Its really awesome
I think it looks much better, more improved and I just love it
Should u suggest me to get a gurkha, and enjoy the scene @14:47 ???
An extra ordinary timing for an extra ordinary vehicle. Hats off @Autocar India
Practicality:yes
Feauturistic:no
Engine hp:underpowered
No Gurkas were harmed:yes
Easy ingress or egress:yes
Ladder frame chassis sounds a Anxiety kick starter on highways.
Changes in the rear look and a more compact boxy body will have head turners.
Thank Auto Car for a realistic experience.
Anything apart, those interiors with comfy seats r reason enough to buy it over tahr...
Good job force..
Force Motors missed a great chance to improve the Gurkha. An improved Powertrain was needed & a far better interior design/features, fit & finish.
Buss features features or features chahiye tum logo
Yeh purely off roader hai.. iske hisab se interior sahi hai.. aur better ho sakta tha.. it could have beat Thar. Lekin chalega.. design aur engine iska thar se better hai waise.

Nice am first time in your channel
I remembered driving the old Gurkha, It felt like riding a bus. This seems very comfortable for regular riding
Perfect when you consider that it’s simple to use and yet very functional
Great work Nikhil!!
I like the way you gave the review. Cool and confident.
Much awaited review ❤️❤️❤️
I liked the front view . And I have some 2 suggestions that is
* If it is come with 4 door or bunch it more amazing
* Need a convertible top or a small sunroof that s make more good
Happy to see that Gurkha unlike thar copying Rubicon design, succeeded to stand apart and have its own identity...😊
Nikhil has matured a lot in his journey of Autocar, and has developed the necessary skills. Enjoyed the video.......still a long way to go for Nikhil, but he is taking long strides.
"No Gurkhas were harmed in the making of this video" 👍
Competition is getting intense! Now it’s thar and gurkha and soon the Jimny will join!
Now you made it better introduction 👍👍👍
Force should improve the interior dashboard design.
A true Blue off-road vehicle.
Unlike a Jeep look copy cat Thar.
It's G WAGON copy
@@Rashisy81i5 True🤣
The Dolby effect was really amazing🤩👍👍👍
