I don't understand why some people are so mean with the host s English. I think she is doing good with her English. You just have to listen to more variety of English. Suggest you try BBC world channel. Listen to more accents. You English listening just too weak.

She is a very good English speaker. First she is speaking English on the go, seems like her speech is unscripted, even hard for native speakers. She does not struggle for a second for words to say what she wants to say. She is reporting saying what meets her eyes. Although she may have an accent, a foreign one, meaning she speaks another or other languages. Even native English speakers have accents. The only difference is their accents are native. I can understand her a hundred percent. If you speak English with accent, it does not matter if you have an accent as long as you are easy to understand . The only problem is she looks Chinese. I found many Chinese internet users are so mean about Chinese speaking English. Hey bros, it is 2018 now, make a change. Stop discriminating those Chinese trying to speak English. China is part of the world anyway.

Just like Amazon Go, in Seattle last year - but no checkout or scanning. Amazon Go, scan phone to enter store thats it, just put items in bag & leave, charges your account automatically.
WeChat, Alibaba,jd all have this kind of unmanned store in China, but seems this one doesn't belong to any of them.each of them has quite different system.

Near my home there is a unmanned store after 11:00 pm. But I don't like it 'cause it fail almost Everytime.
Put a store like this one in south central Los Angeles, & see what happens...
What if you have a large coat, and obscure the shelf while you hide something in your coat? Does the store know you have it? What about tailgaters who enter behind someone like the cameraman?
Just eat everything and put the trash back and leave empty handed.

No, the products *shouldn't* be cheaper, because they are already made in the factory before they're put on the shelf. The store saves on employee cost, not product cost. So products should be sold at the same price as in any market.
Tofu Well they have to subsidize the cost of the employees and the only way to do so is to have a margin between the product cost and the retail price. So theoretically, it should be cheaper. But, if they want to make lots of profit, they'll make a huge margin. It all depends on who runs the store

Bad idea! They should also cater to customers who do not own a smartphone or credit cards. I bet, items are also overpriced in these stores. Also, how secure is your data? With China being truly ahead in scams, there would be a very high chance of getting your bank to go zero! On top of that, what if the customer need info about the products, ask who/what....technicians don't know much about the products/stocks/quality. Besides, there's already high employment rate in China....now this is taking away jobs!!!

Don't compare it to the Amazon go, Amazon go is a cashier-less store, customers just grab things and go without scanning them. This one is just a self service station. self checking out is old tech, facial recognition is not new at all. There's no serious A.I involved in creating this store. But still, it is unmanned and working. Amazon Go seems to be having huge technical obstacles.

The trouble with Automation is that it is excellent for humanity with a Socialist system. But with China racing toward Capitalism profits under that hideous system displaces labour. Profits can only be made as Marx points out from ripping off human labour.
Initially huge profits are made from Automation dropping the labour costs but as competition enters too much goods are made with no one to buy and bankruptcy occurs. Also the shop owner has to borrow to buy Automatic high tech gear. Since it is made by human labour. He must buy it with real money which incorporates human labour!
Most of the goods in the store were worthless. Better using the high Tech for running a Nuclear power station. Sell the high Technology and give away the noodles!
Alternatively robots could be constructed as customers eating batteries,paying with virtual currency. Eating them with his metal teeth and filling his plastic stomach. Robot girls too,with plastic legs that go up to her plastic bum!
