I like to front playing the aggressive defender. Like if you get the ball around the three point I’ll press on you, if you take a step back I’ll just sit at the three point to see if what you going to do... if you pull up for a shot I’ll have my hand up and if you hit then I’m gonna guard ya a lil more closely... always got a fear of getting crossed so I don’t try press until I see what kind of bag they got
@@phillipcoleman6422 first few possessions always smart to do this, rather give up an open 3 than an open lane and you start to figure out what kind of player you're guarding
As an overseas Pro in Asia.. I think the best way to handle any type of pressure is to be confident. I try to instill that with the younger guards because anytime a defender feels they can guard you/pressure you, more so if they rip you in the back court then you are seeing water bottles all game. I would say slow the game down and just exercise a simple back up dribble.. As all that is way too inefficient in terms of conserving energy, to be effective throughout the game. Just another viewpoint although great content.🎮🥊🔥
Bro thats foul my defender grabbed me with his hands and hold me and said that's defense even the bess offensive player can't do nothing when a guy is playing nfl defense bro
I like to do the separation it usually will open up a shot if they respect your driving capability but I actually prefer to step up into the aggressive defender and use their aggression against them from a tripe threat and planting my pivot between their legs. Smart defenders will immediately back up because they know what I’m trying to do.
Great drill and great content. Just have these guys focus on using that off arm to create a little bit of additional space as they make that drive and they'll be solid.

Retreat dribbles & side step counters do the trick. Gotta be able to have multiple counters off the retreat dribble. I tried this a while back but it didn't always work because i didn't think about counter moves.

pass and cut, problem solved. If you are on a basketball team and you wanna get benched, keep dribbling the ball, turnover, and layup for the other team. That pine will be nice and warm courtesy of you all season.
Passing is the obvious option if it's a double team, as someone will be open. But.. if it's one defender playing pressure defense, there might not be an open teammate to pass to 🤷♀️
Only 2 times you should pass 1. You have an open teammate directly or I closer proximity to the basket then you for the easy layup/dunk. 2. Double/Triple team If you pass in any other scenario then the opposing team knows your the weakest link and will constantly pressure you to force turnovers.
I am gonna pretend im gonna preasure you and what u should do??? Why dont you just pressure defense and tell them to retreat step and drive.??????!!! Noone is really pressure defending.
