I started riding at 14, now 72 and don't give a shit about social stigma while riding my 400. First thing I did to mine was tail tidy then exhaust, seat, levers, grips and tires. Barnet clutch is waiting for me to install. These are great little bikes with just a few mods.

Appreciate your insight and comment. I’m glad to see others don’t give a shit about the social stigma. It’s undeniable that the 400 class gets a bad rep but I personally believe it comes from people with too much of an ego, lol.
If you don’t mind me asking, what did you do for the seat? I need to change mine.

I bought my 400 a little after the time you posted your walk-around 8 months ago, it’s been great and I’ve been watching your videos since. I’ve been waiting for you to make a video like this and I can share a lot of your problems that you pointed out, especially the high rpm’s when trying to go a bit faster and overtaking.
I remember thinking this was going to be my first and last bike when I first bought it but now I’m already thinking about trying out different bikes like the r6 and 1000cc bikes.
    Keep producing great videos

Wow man, really appreciate your support. I hope the 400 has treated you well during its time! It’s important to try new bikes, the 400 is great but not everyone’s stopping point for sure. It isn’t mine! An R7 or ZX6R sound beautiful to me!

The small bike social stigma in America is real but TBH it's just other riders announcing their own insecurities. To that end the Ninja 400 would spank an 883 Harley so and several other larger bikes.

I think it's only the sport bike community hating on it, I don't understand why but I think it is the lower speed like atleast what I have seen in the community they don't find thrill in going so slow at full throttle, my sister has a 400 and it's a cool lil bike

What’s up gang! Great question. Really any sport bike isn’t going to handle these pot hole infested roads well. The advantage of the Ninja is the weight so if you quickly need to adjust for a pot hole, you can do so. Just be mindful and try to scan the road ahead. Don’t let this trip you up man, just get comfortable riding and the rest will come. It’s very much a confidence and comfort thing.

Seen videos of these 400’s getting away from R1’s and H2’s on the track in the corner. To an experienced and confident rider on a track, these bikes stay in the lead. Btw, I love your white bike! Riding on the highway on my 400, I think it’s pretty easy to bypass people. I’m usually cruising at 75-80, depending on where at. I don’t have any issues getting to 85-90.

I want to agree but when I tried my sisters 400 it was just not fungoing almost full throttle just to pass someone, I think the only reason it's not exactly liked by most is mainly bc the speed, I think for most atleast what I have seen there is just no thrill in going that slow especially on a highway or with friends I think most people just don't find it fun to go that slow, like in order to just go speed limit you need to be at like 75 throttle and for city and street need to be in third gear just to be at speed limit

There's a way to angle the bike so your slightly drifting into the source of the wind with your body tucked. Wearing a motorcycle jacket also reduces wind friction. This way I can deal with all weather. If there's a wind that's gunna blow you off your bike then I wudnt be riding.

The only point I agree with was your second point. Yea crosswinds will make you feel like you’re on a boat in a tropical storm.
I have a 2023 Ninja 400 and I have been having a blast on it since I got it. It thrills me, it excites me, and it does highway with no problems. It also has passing power so you can get away from other vehicles, and it’s easy on the wallet. The engineering on the Ninja 400 is superb, so you really don’t need to go to a 600 unless you’re MotoGP or you just want to meet the Grim Reaper. I usually average around 75-80 on the highway, with occasional 90 for kicks😎😎😎

What you were saying about social stigma, I get it all the time as a guy in my 30's rolling out on his 400. As a collector who owns 10 bikes at the moment, all sorts, bikes for nearly every occasion. While this one is labelled a "beginner" bike, if inexperienced people move on to bigger bikes and get over the novelty of extreme acceleration, it's a legit all rounder to come back to, settle on and enjoy forever. Just a good bike.

Thankfully I don’t group ride or really ever ride with others so I don’t feel bad for anyone 😅 trying to save my own life!
I really think the social stigma thing is more of an ego related issue. People look down on the 400 class because it’s ’too slow’ and ‘will lose any race’. Any 400 rider has either heard it directly from someone else or got some dirty looks. But I completely agree, for the individuals that own this bike, we appreciate everything it offers. I usually just wear jeans but riding pants wouldn’t be a bad idea either. And a jacket is up to you. I have two since it can get cold here in Nebraska. One for the summer and one for fall. Both have back, shoulder, and elbow protection.
