I get very proud of myself for understanding everything you are saying when you explain the words and speak slowly in the lesson. Then you say your outro 😂😅
Yay, thank you for the video. 🤗 Very important word in fact. In my language koska would be translated as "pretože", and I use this little word a lot when explaining stuff. 😁 I hope one day I will be able to explain in Finnish too.😎
Hey Kati! I read in the paper yesterday that Satu Lahtonen won the price for Finnish teacher of the year. That's some PASKA right there! It shoulda been you! You'll get it next year, don't worry ;) I ran into some difficulties trying to link it, so I copypasted instead. Here.... Vuoden suomenopettaja 2023 on Satu Lahtonen. Suomenopettajien yhdistys ja Opetushallitus kertoivat valinnasta tiistaina Helsingissä. Satu Lahtonen valittiin Vuoden suomenopettajaksi, koska hän on edistänyt suomen kielen opetusta. Lahtonen on esimerkiksi tehnyt materiaaleja suomen opetukseen. Lahtosen materiaalit sopivat hyvin opiskelijoille, jotka aloittavat suomen opiskelun. Ne sopivat myös opiskelijoille, jotka opettelevat lukemaan ja kirjoittamaan. Monet tuntevat Satu Lahtosen UA-cam-videoista. Videoissa Lahtonen opettaa suomen kielen alkeita. Booo!!!
Thanks for the video, Kat. I was just wondering Kat, please could you answer the following question: what editing software do you use to add text to your videos?
I've done all my editing on Sony Vegas for years now :) For a little while I used VEED.io to make subtitles, but in the end it took less time to just do everything in one go on Sony Vegas.
Hello Mam, Good day. your teaching way is very nice to learn. Keep it up. Requesting to make vedios on searching job/interviews/question & answer (specially for part time jobs/survival jobs). Kiitos paljon.
Although "Koska" is not entirely interchangeable with English form of "because". Would be nice to know when it cannot be used. Koska is used in other ways too.
The last word singing by Tapani Kansa is "koska". Why is the song put the word "koska" in the last, even though the word [koska] is for connection between sentences??
I think these two sentences basically mean the same thing. Minulla on nälkä and olen nälkainen. If i am correct and they do, if you can, could you explain any difference between them? Thanks.

I think that in spoken Finnish (puhekieli), the most common substitution for "koska" is "kun" (or "ku").
I've heard it said as kos. Ku is kun - when. Although yes in some cases maybe its possible to use ku.
True!
Could you do a lesson on the clitics -han -pa?
Nice video.. Koska also means "When" sometimes?
Yes it's another use of the word, but I'll talk about that in another video :P
@@KatChatsFinnish ofcourse you will.. :-)
Although "Koska" is not entirely interchangeable with English form of "because". Would be nice to know when it cannot be used. Koska is used in other ways too.
Yes in puhekieli in some areas of Finland it can have another meaning which I'll talk about in another video soon :P
kiitos for the video. Can you make a video as well about hakea, tuoda, viedä pls_ . kiitos
Thanks Kat, I just looked at the Rovenieni UA-cam live stream....snow....."lunta Roveniemassa, koska on lokakuu" Kiitos
Yes I just saw my friend today that lives up North in Lapland and she said there was a blizzard there over the weekend! Wow!

Can you break down säkkijärven polkka?
so after SE ON, we use partitive if SE refers to something abstract? Because I see you use SE ON KIVAA, SE ON VAIKEETA instead of KIVA, VAIKEA.

Are you considering posting on X as well? It should increase your reach.
...koska, sina opet hyvaa! 😊
Kiitos :D
Koska tulet kotiin? When you¨re coming to home? Koska = when/because.
Yess I'll talk about the other meaning in another video soon :D
Does "Koskaa" means when? I often hear it from my finnish co-worker.
@@imeeflores9149 In puhekieli in certain regions of Finland it does!

Yeah I can't think of any difference in meaning between the two
Koska😮
Joo! :D
Moi!
Voi olla että joskus "koska" tarkoittaa myös "millainen"?
