Haha, this summer I rode half of the Katy Trail (from downtown Columbia to Weldon Spring) and drank a few natty light big cans along the way. Highlight was having one at my 'illicit' camp site at one of those bench gravel clearings overlooking the river on a remote section of trail, listening to a Cardinals game on a little rechargable radio.
Glad you enjoyed it, your positive feedback means a lot to me. Ill try to make even better videos. Thanks for watching. Another Katy video coming tomorrow.
You're making amazing progress just keep enjoying it. I fished at Horseshoe lake state park once. The Cahokia mounds are close to that park. When you mentioned getting a post card you brought me back my 1988 backpack trip through Europe thanks for triggering an awesome memory. Can't wait for video along the Katy its my dream ride on my bucket list.
No dogs. Just put SKS fenders and a kickstand on the 520. Boy that front one seems low to the ground. No dogs that's good and some outstanding trails. Keep up the good work. Take care, Al
I live just off the MCT Trail in Illinois - close to where you rode on your way to Horseshoe Lake. Next time you roll through the area - reach out and I'll ride with you.
Good stuff brother, I'm actually touring through Pittsburgh right now.... Your channel just came through my UA-cam news feed, I'm assuming because I was watching other UA-cam channels similar to yours.
@@TravelingThru222 well originally from Cleveland Ohio, and still am. I'm not sure how to answer your question, I plan on doing a little bit of the Gap trail. Perhaps a lot of the Gap trail and C&O and then taking Amtrak back home. ______________ From what I gather it looks like you're heading west. I'm not sure why I think that. Or perhaps your tour is over.
STL was a cool, although I feel I just scratched the surface. The Arch National Park was a huge easy one to check off the list. I would like to get back sometime and explore more of the trail system. I saw they were doing a lot of work to the riverfront area and trails. I did notice that a lot of the new masonry on the stair sets had a groove for cyclist to push there bikes up the stairs. Very bike friendly city.
The Goshen Trail was awesome, quite an elaborate trail system in Southern Illinois. I just stumbled on all of those trails. I was able to ride The Schoolhouse Trail end to end which is always sweet to complete a trail. Should be seeing STL in the next vid. Catch you on the trail.
Hey Mike, I plan on doing a video about how i plan my route. Theres really not much to it though. Its all about google maps, and im a bit of a geography nut, that always helps. In the future soonish Ill get a video together of bicycle touring logistics. I get a lot of questions about this. Thanks for watching.
Hey, Tektro Disc, holding up fine. I seem to burn thru brakes a bit faster than most riders, im always riding past the camera and slamming the brakes on to stop. So I feel as if I wear thru pads faster than the next guy. Thanks for watching.
Great vid and good music. No complaining, I like that. Thanx.
Thanks for riding along.
Amazing video ! Views are awesome!! Hilarious😂💯
Glad you enjoyed! Catch you on the flip side.
@@TravelingThru222 yeesss!!!!!

Great video!!
Glad you enjoyed it
Southern Illinois has the tunnel hill rail trail, which is pretty cool. A bit out of the way you were, though.
You are getting very close to my house, I live on the goshen trail! That's great!
Beautiful area, looking forward to coming back and riding that elaborate trail system again. Thanks for watching.
Awesome job man
Thanks, Rick.
Looking forward too seeing you in stl!

Goshen trailhead is in my hometown. Wasn’t there when I was growing up so only ridden once before. STL is a fun town.

Alot of good camera shots I'll bet that takes up Alot of time
Its worth the time and effort. All the filming allows me to be in beautiful places for just a little bit longer, doesn't slow me down a bit.
It's definitely worth it you got some great videos
wow.. enjoy d vid so much...
Glad you enjoyed it
Trek 520 is best for rough and tough road with luggage????
The trek is a great durable bike.
How do you get the areial videoes?
I’m carrying a DJI Mavic Mini drone with me. I’m flying it and riding the bike.
I would like to know how you plan your route.

Hi, are you still on your trip and if so where are you now?
Finished up the trip a couple weeks ago. Thanks for watching.
how are the brakes of the 520?

Natty Light. ‘Merica. Ride or die.
Well it's not wrong, if you're drinking Natural Ice you probably got some stories. But most likely I would not want to hear them though.
Yep.
great trip man ! too bad the USA is shit for bike trails and that makes it more dangerous.
All good, had a great time out there.
Don't even care
I’m afraid of what those stories might be.
