Thanks much for your TBM videos. Newbie to FS2020 but after about 15 hours' flight time, once I found the TBM 930, it's difficult to fly anything else! But I just flew my first long distance flight from KORF (Norfolk Virginia) to KMYR (Myrtle Beach South Carolina) and man, now I know why there's co-pilots! Suddenly there was A LOT to keep up with during the 1.5 hour flight! Thanks again!
Really awesome and helpful information. You make it so much easier in the way you visualize the whole workings. Thank you for your clear understanding.
I keeping watching your videos because I'm planning to enter flight school next year. I have zero knowledge about flying but you giving me a preview about it. Thanks!
Great tutorial! I’ve been looking for stuff like this. Re: Your TrackIR being a pain sometimes - you can pause it from tracking while trying to mess with things like this, just in case you didn’t know. Makes it a lot easier to change settings on the AP, radios, etc. Default is the F9 key.
Thanks Juraci, yeah I've tried to use the disable feature, but I have 8 years of muscle memory using track IR and never used that feature and I just can't get used to it. I'm trying to force myself but old habits die hard. I have gotten pretty good at holding my neck still though, lol.
Doing tutorials with TrackIR is easy if you pause trackIR and then use a quick mouse pan to center what you'll be explaining. Same for when not making tuts and just using it to enter FP's. I haven't touched TIR in years but the two best features it has is pause and recenter!
Great info and tutorial. I have been doing MSFS for a long time, and 2020 definitely make me fly more "sim" like than any prior so I am diving into programing flight plan. This is a great look for the TBM G3000, and I am much looking forward to a G1000 tutorial since I fly the Bonanza most. What I would really love to see is MS add MD-88 into the hanger, that is my most frequently flow ship when I travel for work and I flew it a lot in X-Plane 11
Just what I was looking for, I managed to do a full flight with an ILS landing but this cleared some things up. Look forward to some more content. Btw we must be neighbors lol, I am literally 10 mins from CNC3 :-)
@@NOTAM1 For Sure LOL, I have been taking a tour of the UK today (From there originally) in the TBM and loving it, I found the sweet spot for my system and I think for the first time since installing MSFS 2020 I am really happy with the smoothness of the sim on my system (i5 9600K @ 5Ghz, GTX 1080TI & 32GB DDR4 3000 & 42" LG 1080P TV). There has been a ton of negativity but I can now maintain 60 FPS a good deal of the time with pretty decent settings which is what I run in X-Plane 11. What flight controls do you use? @@NOTAM1 Did you try Threshold Aviation on Carlingview? That is where I got mine from, I am still using my Saitek X-55 Throttle Quadrant. I made a custom mount for my desk so it sits lower and just to the left side of my chair. The X-55 stick was nice but I can highly recommend the Honeycomb. Flying the FF A320 in X-Plane 11 is just sublime. It is so precise. I know regularly hand fly SID's & STAR's in the 320. I am still experimenting with the settings in MSFS as default values are quite twitchy.
About that Trackir issue...head movement making it hard to control buttons and such... get the view you need then press F9...your view will freeze but you still have total use of your mouse and you can click buttons, switches, move levers, etc... pressing F9 again will take yo back to your regular tracking.
I very enjoyed this vidéo. Howhever i did exacty the same process and i dont have any élévations for the différents Was points in thé flight plan. Thanks for help
Great tutorial thank you very much. If I may make a suggestion, don't use Track IR for your tutorials plz, sometimes it hard to follow what you're doing. Camera and mapping keyboard to views is better, The Track IR is making me feel woozy :/
not sure if you still see comments but I hope so. I have a question. I have have watched this video several times and its very good but I have an issue. I am following your steps to a tee, or I think I am. But after I enter my waypoints, and then go to procedures and departures or arrivals, it shows which airport, but I get nothing when I click on any tab to enter information, like runway, transition, etc. Can you offer any solutions?
Great 👍 tutorial 👌 , I have question about airway, in flight radar I see airliner flying between airways not following any airways? Why and how they are managed??
@@NOTAM1 thanks, yes I did check both but looks like either they have company routes or FlightRadar Gold map overlay are old but double check it in Skyvector, they all seems to follow same route that is not on any of Hi /Low airways
David. So the GPU doesn’t work at all? Does the Sim have infinite battery life? The KA 350 MFD is set up wrong. I noticed the engine gauges are on the wrong side of the MFD compared to real life KA. Supposed to be in Pilot’s field of view. My new PC won’t be here until Sept so I can get into the new FS.
Nice work David, not a big fan of the TrackIR, but the content is great. You said not to activate the approach at one point, could you explain wny not, and when should it be activated, and what is the difference between doing that and the 'APPR' button on the dashboard?
Hey steve, thanks. Sorry for late response, I had to re-watch that part to see what I said. You would normally activate the approach on arrival (you could change the approach last minute if vectored and click activate approach) this would replace the approach that can now by started with the APPR softkey.
@@NOTAM1 Thanks for responding. I understand a bit better now that you may not actually know which approach you're going to be using until instructed by the tower, and that you may well be at the end of your arrival and have to set that up and activate it sort of at the last minute.

Why would it do the big loop on arrival. I find arrival very strange when you set it up with the procédures button. I prefer now to add my fix manually so it dosent turn me around.

Great stuff. Came here from your cold start video. Great work thanks.
TrackIR jumpiness. Use your left hand to cover the TrackClip Pro LEDs or original reflectors, while mousing with your right hand.
