Pleased to hear you are enjoying it. They are very addictive :) My first 1400 was a blue and white K2, did just on 45,000kms on that after buying it second hand, loved it so much upgraded to the new K7 in black. Having sold my bike to pay for my daughters wedding and not getting another for the sake of self preservation.... I miss riding heaps, especially riding these things.
I got the GSX1400 and it is so fun to ride. Low the torque from the big engine. Still it is easy to ride if you respect the heavy weight. The best bike I ever own.
Hi Paul, loving mine :-) Do you have a higher-resolution version of this you could upload? I'm trying to figure out where these roads are... Looks NI to me ... Rotorua-ish?
They are an awesome bike, it's a shame UA-cam knocked the sound of some of my other vids. I weigh about 85 kgs with all my gear on, I changed the front suspension to only two rings showing on preload, clicked up the damper and rebound settings a couple of notches and the rear suspension had all settings on the hardest level.
Quite a few years ago now I was outside cleaning my GSX 1400 when a man walked past with his young offspring.. Without breaking stride I heard him say: "look son, a real bike".. I have never forgotten that compliment and I never will.. Camera facing wrong way quite a lot of the time during this video... for some unknown reason?.. I rode out 1 Saturday morning to meet a blonde at a biker get together and I was running late.. I must've spent more time on the opposite side of the road overtaking traffic than on the correct side.. At one point I was 1 second from overtaking a vehicle in front of me when a knob in a Suburu I was keeping my eye on shot past me and the vehicle I was about to pass. Queue jumping.....I'm not having this.... I kicked down a gear and opened up the bike and overtook the Suburu while it was overtaking the other vehicle.. Suburu drivers face was a picture.. They must of wrongly assumed I was riding a twist n go smaller bike. Got to my destination on time and she even bought me a coffee.. sorted. I looked up and Mr Suburu was crawling past out on the main road stuck behind the largest tractor I have ever seen and Mr Suburu's face matched the colour of a ripe beetroot.. 1 - 0... I thought.
@beyondkiwi Thank you mate. I was trying to get an exhaust with a better sound. Found one from yushimura - its a black 4 to 1. Very short. It even improves the effect. The worst thing is that it cost 14.500 dkr. It is tax, custom and a danish thing called moms which is 25% on top of it. So I have to live with the trompet standard exhaust for a while. You have riding many km on the bikes - so you know what you are talking about. I wil get back to you when i have received the bike. BR from me.
Other than that all stock suspenders and it goes just fine. If your 1400 is pre 2004 you can cause leaks on the rear suspenders by using the adjuster wheel but if after that year you should be fine. Just make sure you clean around the shocks before adjusting so you don't draw grit into the O-rings.
@beyondkiwi I love both your choice og music and of cource the bike. I am buying one sun. It is a black 2007 model - 1000 km - and still 24 months full garantie. What a nice bike. Take care when you ride
Roger Barraud Too right. If anything the prices of low mileage minters are strong. My own 2007 blue & white K6 would sell at way more than I paid for it new!
Hi Roger, This vid was shot around Mangatangi, Hunua and Orere Point towards Miranda. Don't know if I could find original HR footage and being on VDSL it would take forever to upload anyway. :) Great bikes mate, miss mine like crazy.
Awesome roads Beyond my old stomping grounds and what more can I say Jean Michel Jarre just luv carving up the corners on my 14 listening to Oxygene great stuff.
Shaun Harris (Moto TT fame) checked my suspension settings and said they are set as good as you will get without going for after market. But these settings transformed the handling from standard by tightening everything up. No more wallowing in high speed sweepers and turns on a dime :)
@bechize Cheers mate. Blacks the best of course! Had to sell my bike a few months back to pay for my daughters wedding. :) Miss it like crazy. Best all around bike I've ever owned. Had a blue and white before the black one and clocked up near;y 90,000kms on the two of them over five years just riding for fun.
Ha ha.was going to say a tribute to this blokes scone. The music probably a decade or 2 out.Oh! and the bike...almost forgot about the poor old bike...err hang on I need to watch it again to give you some feedback...no theres his wobbling head again...arh! Fuck it.
Didn’t see any link so can’t comment. If they have been looked after with not too much weathering on forks and engine cases and have been serviced regularly they will go for ages. Try and get one above 2005 and as late as possible to avoid shocks issues 👍

This will be my next bike. Just love this motorcykle! ! My Zephyr 1100 must find a new owner!!
Cool, i went with a friend to shoot some clips of my gsx 1400 exactly for the reason of not having to go back for your cam. Great vid
Thanks mate. Winter arriving early here but I would like to do some more shots and more off the bike, side of the road shots would be good too :)
They are truly an awesome machine :)
Great work Beyond. . Read your reviews before buying my 14, and I'm glad I bought it. Good riding in that vid mate. Ride safe.
Beyond, I'm a bit slow - just discovered your vid. Excellent!! AAA+ Love the different camera angles. Don't give up riding. Watch your video again! :)

It truly is a great bike.
Thanks mate :) I enjoyed making it. The off the bike shots take a bit of work and having to go back for your cam :)
Thanks jrrm3. Yep, awesome bike. Pleased you like it :)

Time for another one matey - they're still around - you should be able to pick up a minter for around $7K.

Great ride man! I have the GSX1400 too, fantastic machine!!! Did you hardened a bit the suspension or you left it stock...?
THE finest Bike EVER made - She's the Spitfire of Bikes - Sexy, Machine!! Nice Vid BTW. :-)

Yeah, awesome bit of road that :)

Not keen on your choice of music but good vid and the GSX is a brilliant bike
@QBTO
Cheers mate. Some people love the music and others thinks it belongs to a porn flick. :)

Would’ve been good to see some actual vision of the bike…
The other vids will show more bike. LOL. This was done back in 2009.
@@beyondkiwi this currently advertised on Bikesales…thoughts? Looks mint.
