is there ever times when you stop to just enjoy and all the technical stuff falls away and you dont break down the vocals? I hope this doesnt sound mean, but its something Ive been curious about with many artists and coaches if they can shut that part off to just enjoy and feel the the music.
If Ronnie keeps redoing his old songs like this we going to end with a full rock opera at this rate.

The screaming he does towards the end is quite tough to reproduce even with some screaming experience. It's very much a balancing act between distorted scream and belted note right on the voice break point. This specific scream seems quite difficult, since you really need to be careful not to employ vocal folds fully, since you will just blow them out of existence with the massive airflow from the distorted scream. At least that's what the scream seems like to amateur me.
When I first started listening to screaming vocals, what he's doing in this song, is what I thought all the singers were doing. So as someone that has bashed my head against that wall and only within the last few years can consistently hit belted screams. Yes, it's incredibly difficult to balance, and you will tear your throat to shreds for days after if you are practicing it wrong.
You're trying to push too hard. It's not hard. Try relaxing, start with a relaxed voice fry and add a little bit to that. You can walk it up from there

I am so glad you came back and did this one again! I wish you would do all of the Falling in Reverse catalog 😅 Ronnie is incredible and never ceases to impress. One of my favorite aspects of the Reimagined and Revamped songs is how much they retain the melodies and ideas of the originals but hone in more on the feelings and ideas and present them in an even more powerful and gripping way. Not to mention how cinematic they are as well!

What a beautiful song I've never heard before. But that was a super awesome ride. You are right when you say it was a movie , with a fantastic climax to it. So much beautiful building and ups and downs to he gets to the end of the song and it packs a punch. super dope song. I also loved the really syncopated rhythms in the middle. I haven't heard lines sung like that before and it's super powerful because of it. Awesome!

I LOVE your interpretation of vocal performances. I've always been a huge fan of metal (especially growing up), and as an adult, I love how you break down not only the technique, but how the artists use those vocal techniques working with the arrangement of the instrumentals to reflect emotion! I love every thing about this video and you diving into it except the singer's voice. That section at the 12 minute mark was very fun and I too love it but again, right after, way to twanging for me. (Strange how my taste can differ from yours.) THANK you for redoing this video. See watching it for the second time counts. Please feel free to redo any video where the audio take a holiday.

I like this stuff. I found you while I was going to listen to these reimagined/revamped songs again and I like hearing about it from a vocal coach perspective. I knew the songs were proof that Ronnie Radke is one of the great vocalists of the emo era, but I lack the vocabulary to describe how.

Great in depth analysis. If you haven't done the Falling in Reverse Trilogy, it's a must. A lot of music styles and vocal changes in those videos. 1. Losing My Mind, 2. Losing My Life, 3. Drugs. Also a stand alone video that came out right before the trilogy is Popular Monster. That's amazing as well.

I'm probably a bit weird for watching a reaction to a video I haven't seen before.
It did make me a little impatient for some part, also because in most reactions you have short comments combined with the text added by edit-Julia ☺️. But still to drawn in by your enthusiasm to stop and watch the video first. Love you fangirling and so interesting how so many small vocal decisions create this vibe of increasing insanity and emotion.
After listening to this like 300+ times I still can’t grasp how one manages to make an amazing revamped version of an already amazing song.
Simple, go through years of self induced pain and suffering while having a world class musical talent.
