@@jamesnobles727 Well, I myself come from the Scotch-Irish who (Ive been told) settled Appalachia and are the hearts behind that music. But my soul loves the "great" music created by/for European aristocrats that my S/I ancestors despised if they had to deal with them. People in 50 different cultures are working up rap songs. As for Norway's soul, they chose a Pete Seeger song to rebuke the monster racist who massacred their children. Everybody's singing whatever lights their heart these days..

The soul of Bluegrass transcends geography. This amazing band is from Norway 🇳🇴, and Billy Strings is from Michigan. They aren’t just playing Bluegrass they are exuding it. Beautifully done. ❤️

Their music and Rebekka Nilsson's voice are so hauntingly beautiful, brings back so many memories of a better time growing in the hills of North Carolina .
I grew up in lower Sussex County Delaware below the Mason Dixon Line and grew up listening to country music on an a.m. radio.
Their music takes me back home to where i grew up!

We've attended blue grass and southern Appalachian music festivals for the past 35 years and this this group can match or play with the best of them. Heck, I thought they were surely from Appalachia. Great Talent.

It's really heartwarming to hear kids keeping the Bluegraas sound going. Bill Monroe even had an accordion in his first band.

I am a Christian, and all this song reminds me of is my dad. He made a CD with me bunch of Christian songs and every Sunday my mom would play them on the way to church and this song was one of the songs he sang. He was spot on all the notes. It was perfect and I can hear it right now.
Excellent band but Lead Vocals and Fiddle are exceptional.

The banjo is an instrument of my childhood, my grandmother, born 1899, (Southern US, NC Appalachian mountains) used to play for us. It has a quality that sounds like "talking" to me. The lead vocalist is amazing, so wonderful, a beautiful plaintive voice, excellent phrasing. Very surprised that the group is from Norway! Heart, beauty and soul transcend national boundaries! Very grateful for this song....

Who'd have thought amazing Bluegrass music would be coming out of Norway. Lately I'm really getting hooked on listening to Bluegrass; its just pure, good, and completely timeless music. Love watching these guys videos and The Petersens from Branson, MO in particular. Good stuff.
This band is terrific ... just found them, and "subscribed", am looking forward to hearing more!
I also dearly love The Peterson's from Branson, MO ... have been listening to them for a couple years now, and they just keep getting better and better.
There's high grade talent all over that stage, but one really stands out. There is no one on Earth right now that can hang with that vocalist. Her talent is sublime. There is a purity there that can't be manufactured.

This is probably my 10th time watching this and just realized how almost every instrument has a semi solo portion. It all flows together so well it doesn't seem forced at all.

Having said that, while not an expert at mixing, I think there's a way to maximize or highlight the human harmony. The instruments are nice but voices are the life of it.

I don't normally listen to country, but I'll make an exception for this group at least. And I had no idea they weren't from Appalachia, or that they aren't even Americans. So props to them for sounding so convincing. Hell, I was fooled until I looked them up.

Hey yaall need to come to USA, the Bill Monroe Bluegrass Festival is still held annually in Bean Blossom Indiana. This is a wonderful gathering of blue grass bands.

Being from Tennessee, I do wonder if any of the musicians' personal faith is connected to those Christian lyrics. I can hope so. It's more than just great music here. It comes from deep spiritual roots. Either way, the Lord's being lifted up in a world that so often treats His name carelessly.

I think you mean that English is not their native language. Pretty certain they all speak English. Approximately 90% of Norwegians speak English, in addition to their own & other languages. 😊

Outstanding as usual! Nice vocal clarity with believability sewn in to make this feel conversational. I also like that the instruments are are not too busy during the vocal which allows the vocal to be distinct in the mix. Really nice job! Really clean sound with superb, tight playing!

I'm going to have to add a trip to Norway to my bucket list. So easy to get lost listening. My grandfather Gilbert Berg God rest his soul would have loved them.

I've never seen a bluegrass group with so many instruments. It gives a fullness to the sound that nicely complements the BG sound.

The Love of my life Corbe Pale Sr sent me this Beatiful song in hopes I could sing it for him soon ,but it was not to be because a few days later he became very ill , and Ended up passing away on February 9th 2021 Our love was eternal and stayed with us both over a long period of time until later in our lives we actually became single at the same time and our reunion wS like one that never missed a beat after 30 years apart we finally got back to each other and just like that time never changed a thing and we picked up right where we left off !! And in that brief but very,very Happy and content time we shared was vast if we were together the entire time living parnell lives understeer same sky ,but the time we spent asbshortbas it may have been we never skipped a beat and now when I think of him itsbwith antistatic that he is waiting for me there and im Goid with that and evrytime I think of him I Smile knowing that and I'm OK with My own self knowing that!!! It's often brings tears too my eyes because I phicalky Miss him and know the he is waiting for me now to share God's promise of Eternal life ,Amen and Glory be to Jesus !!!

It takes guts for a bunch of Norwegians to sing bluegrass in America. That would be like a bunch of Tennessee southerners going to Norway and singing Viking music. Lol. But they do a good job.
