@@davclutch4721 Who tf gonna cry getting doubled in pickup lmao... cook the double team if u so good
I say this as someone with no love for Booker...
Context matters.
When you have a training camp like that, you generally have a few actual NBA players, some G League players, and some college place-fillers. These aren't real games.
In that context, there are 2 points to make.
1. If you allow doubling on the NBA players, it's always going to come from from a guy who's defending a weak player. Therefore, you are going to end up with a college player wide open over and over and the NBA players don't get a chance to work out their games... and like it or not, the NBA players' development IS the priority in those games. The G Leage and college players are basically spectators. It's an honor for them to be there and they understand that what the NBA players say goes.
2. Like I said, the NBA players are the priority... and you don't know what Devon was working on that day. He's a dynamic offensive player for a reason... he's always adding moves options and counters to his bag.
So he's there probably trying to get some live reps in for working on a scoring option in a spot an analyst has noticed he tends to get space, right? Well, he's drilled it to death and he wants to get some live reps in... get a better idea of how it flows with his counters.
And what happens? Some college kid doubles on him so he has to pass out of the double... to another college kid.
If you're an NBA player, you've gotta get your reps in sometime. You go from drill training to drill training with defense props to trying it in-game to working out your reaction package and then FINALLY, after you feel that you can execute the move at any time comfortably, you just play regular live ball and incorporate the move into your full toolset.
Booker's little viral moment might be nothing more than these guys not understanding that Book was working some sh!t out still.
Like he said, he can pass out of doubles anytime in the NBA. This is an NBA practice. The NBA players make the rules. Don't like it? Don't come.

@reelshooter_cs221 hating another person over something like that is weird. The word hate should be reserved for people that hurt kids and stuff like that.
I played football for 10 years and was a guru at X’s and O’s. Watching this podcast opened up my mind for basketball iq. Lbj might have the greatest iq of any player ever.
Facts 💯
the most subtly impressive part of lebron's game has always been his ability to get an ordinary pass off just a TINY bit more crisply, a TINY bit more accurately with just a TINY bit better timing than anyone else. I've seen it a thousand times. He has the ball at the top of the key and all of a sudden the ball is zipping to the wing, and it starts a chain reaction of defensive breakdown where he ends up with a hockey assist, or even an assist of an assist of an assist. Obviously these passes don't show in the stats so you gotta see it yourself. All this MJ vs Lebron talk and I've never heard a word from the Lebron camp about his ability to start an offense in this non-statistical way. So strange cause i've seen it for 21 years now
he is a truly great passer BUT he is also a truly great scorer and his teammates are not so what is so great about his passing in terms of winning games??? 0:55 how is getting one on one v JJ a passing and not a scoring situation??? why didn't the Heat win in '11, i thought it was 100% James playing "team" basketball and arguing the correct basketball play was to let his teammates do most of the scoring... fax!!!

before Lebron one of the 10 commandments of ball was don't leave your feet to pass. he single-handedly eliminated that rule because of his vision and athleticism.
I honestly think that those tiny bit of being better is what seperates the greatest from regular all stars. I also think regular folks like 99.9999% of the people who play basketball, should not try to replicate what NBA teams or players do.

Last season they got swept when he chose to take bad shots on the last shot vs Denver multiple games, including Airballs & Bricks, when getting the ball inside to AD to wear down Jokic was the better strategy. Game 1 in the 4th AD 2-4, Reeves 3-4, all from 3. Guess who took the last shots and turned the ball over? Game 2 ball stolen last possession. LeBron telling everyone basketball isn't 1v1 as his entire game is predicated on 1v1 is actually absurd.
Hello bron haters I know u guys have watched every second of the first two episodes and all the short segments that have been posted y’all really watch lbjs every move 🤣
They're already posting their “hate comments” under this video. It's clear that they're secretly fans.
I didn't watch a single second I just come here to laugh at the ridiculously low IQ basketball fans who need someone to explain numbers up to 10 for them 😂

@@vaibhavsatheesh7964 Not defensively Goofy
You really just name three centers, two role players, and JJ Reddick as if theyre the best defenders to ever gaurd bron?...
@@Theyaintme_cb6 yes defensively. Jordan’s era was the worst defensive era of all time. And the stats prove it, they shot more free throws than any era Lebron has played in, and they also shot better from the field than any other era ever. Because they weren’t playing defense. They were just fouling. Seek help.
