    This one just popped up now, John. Thanks for all the video work today with Moke!

    I have the same bike. As soon as you started it I noticed an odd sounding engine. It may be old but it's still a great bike.

      Yeah I love it. Probably need to admire it a little more than ride. If it lived with me I could keep it working smoothly, but it sits 3,000 miles away 99% of the time and dries up.

    That angle of camera looks great. I use it to for my videos.
    How is your electric KTM, still running?

    • @JohnHowerton137

      Haven't seen it for 8 months. I imagine the accessory battery is dead, but probably runs great. Thought for a second about bringing it, but most stuff I ride here is higher speed and sand.

      Maybe, the powerpack however holds great after thousands of kilometers or when you put it in the storage mode. I had I think only 2% degradation after 7000km (dealer checked). It is not good to leave it fully charged though.
      You probably seen Stark Varg, I think many influencing people getting it for free to ride in Europe. It is the best electric dirt bike by far.

      @Roadified yeah, I ordered a Varg when they first announced it. It’s been avail for delivery for a while, but I think I’m going to pass. I can’t really ride with the bike not being a dual sport. I’d get a dual sport Stark. Had my eye on the Flux for a while. Their first one will be dual sport likely. My Freeride may get registered out of state so I can ride it to work at least.

    Shoots John that bottom end spit out all its needle bearings for some reason. I put 6k miles on my 09 KTM 200 and when I sold it it was still running strong. what I did was put about an 1/8th of an inch DuraLub in the Raitorite cup and the the rest was AmSoil for a 60/1 ratio. also I mix DuraLub and Nickel Never~sieze as my chain lube, my chains & sprockets on my liter sport bikes would last for 60 to 80K miles. I never had to replace the chains and sprockets on my off road motorcycles...DuraLube treats the metal not the oil~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Braaap!

      Yeah, not sure. I don’t have a lot of time on this one (about 4gal gas), so it’s something someone else F-ed up on. When I’m done it’ll be built correctly.
      What did you replace your old 200 with?

    • @JohnHowerton137
      @JohnHowerton137  8 місяців тому

      I'm kind of thinking it might have been shrunken head o-rings from sitting so much and a little drip was going into the bottom end bearings. One of the head bolts had a little corrosion and the head was sort of stuck on (corrosion/swelling).
      Wish I could ride her once in a while. Probably start storing with the coolant flushed out.

      @@JohnHowerton137 It could have been drowned out at one time sat and corrode the needle bearings. if it was a leaking cylinder head O ring the bore would show rust pits.

      @@gastonbelanger5346 great theory, but it probably would have blown up the last time I rode it much harder in sand motos. Who knows 🤷🏼‍♂️ She’s granaded though and probably needs about $1,200 of love.

      Thanks. Wish I had more time to play with bikes and the channel. This year I may get a little more time.
      Happy New Year!

    You can hear noises when you throttle off. That’s loose parts.

    • @JohnHowerton137
      @JohnHowerton137  8 місяців тому

      Yeah, In hindsight there are noises. Just around so few two strokes these days can't tell whats normal rattles and vibrations 😂

    How did you like the 300 after running the 200?

    • @JohnHowerton137
      @JohnHowerton137  8 місяців тому

      Totally different. 300 is counterbalanced and super smooth "electric". They're a "Just stick it in 3-4 gear" bike. The 200 is very raw feeling. In the softer stuff it's 2nd to 3rd shift every corner exit and into 4th on the longer sections. 200 is more fun, but the 300s are "nice."
