Just like Hines and Greg,I know Payton is going to be the absolute greatest steal of this draft,as the other two had bad knee injuries and had fantastic careers,Steeler nation is going to find out how great and the perfect fit in our family of lbs
Both Cooper and Hopper were picked ahead of him by the Packers, is the reason solely because of injury concerns or also because he lacks pass rushing skills those two provide?
I think you could argue Cooper getting picked first straight up, but Hopper over Wilson was probably injury related. Maybe preference by GB, but injury had to have played some part
If he stays healthy, this is a Ferrari Of a pick Yeah, he had some of the fastest speed at the combine less. He was in the senior bowl where Mike Tomlin a chance to see him play they keep him healthy. He is definitely a sports car on two
@@BAF-ch4ts Frank Gore SHREDDED his ACL TWICE in college. He went on to play 16 NFL seasons and has the 3rd most rushing yards in the history of the NFL. Do you know who else didn't have an ACL in his knee? Hines Ward.....that's who.

Potentially! I think for some teams, he'll be able to blitz/cover/chase a lot, and others might see him project as a versatile backer who could play some MIKE.
Great analysis. Thanks for putting this together!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed!

I'm excited to see how he does in Pittsburgh!
Thurman Thomas as well :)
Football instincts and IQ. He has it in spades.
He does indeed!

Yeah he could definitely be a steal for Pittsburgh, even if it's for one contract!
Your stats are wrong he had 138 tackles in 2023 according to all other podcasts
Good call 🔥
He had a lot more than 92 tackles in 2023 season..somewhere around 139 I think.
Interesting! PFF had him for 92, I guess that's a typo!
10 to 15 more lbs
Maybe!
@@JakeSchyvinckNFL that’s why he probably getting hurt so much or more muscle
I really like Wilson but age shoulder and knees worry me.
Yeah, you might only get 1 contract (4 years) out of him. As a third round pick, I'm good with that. The average NFL career is less than 5 years.
That's very fair!

Defensive player of the year nationally
He's a heck of a player!
He's a great player. It's just a shame he's made of glass. Definitely a late second to third round pick.
Definitely injury concerns that lead to durability questions, no doubt.

Love this guy, he might be worth the risk!
