He probably would do well to interview someone that doesn't parrot the narrative; someone who can articulate concepts intelligently. Almost all of these people are trained puppets, regurgitating what they have been told instead of being able to think for themselves. We don't find a lot of original thought among lefties. We find repeated hackneyed responses (NPCs getting to say it all over again), emotion, and violence and threats of credible violence to enslave the workers to their ends.

The "at conception" thing is unreasonable when you realize how many eggs do get fertilized but don't implant.
Even if you believe it's a life at conception, even if you think women should be punished for engaging in sex with men, even if you don't care that there's no brain present before 92% of all abortions, and even if you don't care about the life of the mother or the kid beyond removing a medical choice from the woman, the road from fertilized egg to actual infant viable outside the womb is surprisingly difficult.
At the end of the day it really does feel like their concern is just about removing the choice of how a woman lives her life and making a child into a punishment. It's bizarre, ahistorical, and cruel as they don't even bother to make healthcare or child rearing any safer or easier alongside this.

A pathological liar may argue that your stab wound wouldn't be as bad as what the stabber is gonna go through in jail, so they argue its your own responsibility and your own failt for going out at night. Historians may see calling this a matter of debate as just another tool of the anti choice crowd.

It's like how the historians of today, and people in general look back on certain common practises of the past with disgust and just shake their head.

To this day I can't tell if I was so sad because I wanted the baby to live or because the baby died. I really questioned if I should be 100% pro-choice or it maybe there is something to it that early. Most people don't even know they are pregnant at 8 weeks. I still think everyone should be able to choose for themselves, but not being able to figure out which reason I was so broken up over still gets me. My son that made it will be 3 soon and I still think about the loss of the other one. In the end it's not a cut and dry answer that the government should have any say in. Despite being pro-choice and not believing that a fetus is the same as a person, it’s always incredibly sad. I hate the cliché of "it is what it is," and to not take away from those who experienced miscarriage. Sometimes parents could be in picture-perfect health, and still experience loss due to how the embryo developed - all controlled by the embryo's initial set of genes, and molecular cell pathways that we continue to research in embryology today, because development on the cellular level is still trying to be better understood. Even if it reaches the fetal stage, some genetic error affecting its proper development will obviously keep it from being viable.

Imma be honest, I totally respect all spectrums. The Christian woman who would not get an abortion even if she was raped is a multifaceted human being, I’m sure many people in her life think she is a great person, and same with the woman who would get an abortion who was lookin all cute in short shorts and a bikini top. Both women deserve to have equal rights and make their own choices. The issue is that now both of them will be forced to carry any pregnancy to term, no matter how risky or detrimental the situation is for them, and no matter their choice.

The states simply have a right to determine it themselves meaning there are still a lot of places where nothing changes. And even in states where things are changing, there can still be exceptions for special cases like you mention (the life of the mother being in danger for example).

When andrew interviewed the Christian women it kinda made me uncomfortable that guy was standing right next to her the whole time nodding almost like "Good, good" like he was trying to intimidate her into keep saying their religious belief's instead of possibly her own. While its quite possible he just wanted to listen along to see how she felt it just rubbed me the wrong way. Just hope its not some sort of attempt of dominance he was trying to display on her. Hope that group is doing well.

Hey man, I appreciated what you said about immediately upon conception it doesn't make sense that it's an autonomous life, anymore than a sperm or egg cell is...
The only relevant question is: when is a human alive?
We wouldn't kill a baby after she was born just because of a bad situation. That murder.
Is there a difference between a baby 5 minutes after she's born versus 5 minutes earlier? I think logically it's self evident that a baby is alive and it's wrong to kill her 5 minutes before birth.
So now we have to backtrack. At what point after a fertilized egg successfully implants is it a living human and not just replicating cells?
Some would say immediately. Maybe, maybe not.
I think logically/scientifically it's hard to argue that a baby in the womb isn't alive with a functioning circulatory system, aka brain telling the heart to beat and pump blood to all the organs.
How do we identify a dead person? No heart beat/brain function. So that's also how we should identify a living person (with the moral right to bodily autonomy).

Not really though. Only if you're so ideologically captured as to think that she made a strong case...but that's such a sheltered attitude that it's cult-like. There's a solid rebuttal to everything she said. Not that you'd need to agree with the rebuttal, but the rebuttal can easily stale-mate what she said, such that neither position can truly claim the moral and logical high-ground. Man-on-the-street interviews like this are useless because all of these people are too dumb and/or ideologically captured to lay out the true debate...and they are all too morally juvenile to properly explore the issue itself. So people on either side will believe that their side 'won' and everyone merely remains in their own cults. Useless. We The People can't function with this level of stupidity. (And I'm mostly pro-choice by the way, so it's not like I'm trying to knock her just because I'm on the other side of the argument.)

Some people choose to keep the child when abortion is an option. And abortion should always be an option. Just because some people find it disagreeable, doesn’t mean they should take that choice from somebody else.

    • @trentgarland522
      @trentgarland522 2 роки тому

Your friend is great but I strongly disagree with you. Abortion is still an option just like every other crime is. That doesn’t make it morally right. 600,000+ murders or “abortions” occurred every year without any justice. That’s not right. You would be sick if murderers were allowed to execute 600k people each year without any consequences. Plus this doesn’t take away abortion. It just brings it to the state level. If they really want an abortion they’ll just have to go to Abortion Disneyland over in California. Maybe that would incentivize them to not murder their child over an “inconvenient situation”.

It's the same way for women being forced to bear a child when they don't want to; why should they be forced to carry that child to term if it means being basically handicapped for 9 months?
