It's amazing how Andrew does not appear biased and just listens to everyones opinion, that is true journalism. Keep the good work!
He probably would do well to interview someone that doesn't parrot the narrative; someone who can articulate concepts intelligently. Almost all of these people are trained puppets, regurgitating what they have been told instead of being able to think for themselves. We don't find a lot of original thought among lefties. We find repeated hackneyed responses (NPCs getting to say it all over again), emotion, and violence and threats of credible violence to enslave the workers to their ends.

They definitely have a point with the orphans, abusive parenting, lack of schooling/daycare, and poverty/crime that's going to spike in the next 10-20 years. The crime rate plummeted after abortion was legalized because not as many kids were growing up in an environment that leads to turning to crime in order to survive, according to Freakonomics
Low key don't totally get that justification, just massacre orphans am pro choice btw but some points in this vid are quite odd
This is a rare case of people on the left making a far right argument to support a viewpoint. It borders on eugenics. 90% of abortions are black/brown babies, "Look at all these un-desirables we can get rid of, our crime rate will go down as will poverty!".
That is so wrong on every level
@@voidmayonnaise The real issue with the arguments is that most people who are against abortion are against it for religious reasons. You can't really debate them on that because at that point you're basically just debating religion. And of course those who are religious but aren't opposed to abortion are branded as not being the genuine thing.
@@voidmayonnaise Oh yeah I totally agree. I guess I just mean that if you're trying to get someone to change their mind, it's a lot harder to do so if their current position is based on a religious belief. In particular, an extremist that wants to force others to adhere to their religious beliefs likely won't be phased by you pointing out hypocritical positions. And in the US they're usually the "America is a Christian nation" types where conservative positions and religious positions are basically the same thing.
Something to note about this situation also: so many Americans don’t fully understand how the government actually works or what they can do to fully participate. So many others don’t even vote. A more educated and politically active generation is desperately needed
Many Americans do vote. Especially on the left. But frankly it doesn't do much.

Yeah, so many people dont even realise that the supreme court wasnt voting directly on the decision of whether or not abortion is illegal. The supreme court ruled that it shouldnt be their decision and let the states decide, this of course led to many of the states immediately illegalizing it. but the supreme court really didnt do much wrong here, blame your states, not the supreme court.

You'll notice that every single one of the people who took the position that overturning Roe v. Wade is a good thing mentioned their religious beliefs. The United States was the very first country in the world founded on a secular Constitution. That made everyone free to practice any religion (freedom of religion) or free to practice no religion (freedom from religion). Keep church and state separate, or you'll end up living in a country that embraces a religion other than your own. 🇺🇸
Baby lives matter.
what's crazy, is these christian fundamentalists/nutters in charge believe that America will either be "cursed" or "blessed" by God; depending on what laws are mirrored by the bible, or stray therefrom. So imagine how much more fanatical their rulings may be during what they perceive to be "end times", times of famine, disease, etc.
These people "know better" and we'd all be "fools" to believe otherwise! :P
It was a group of people here for a church meeting so of course they're talking about god
It just so happens that many people who are prolife are also deeply religious, but there are many people who are prolife that are secular, many prolife arguments are secular as well, such as Alexander R. Pruss
arguing that abortion is immortal regardless of even the personhood of a fetus. The split on abortion isn't a religious one such as gay marriage, it is a moral one.
It might be a secular constitution but it is clearly based on christian values. If you look around your country, it is a country for christians, by christians. The overturning of Roe vs Wade is a perfect example of this. America is not a secular utopia. It is a very religious country

The "at conception" thing is unreasonable when you realize how many eggs do get fertilized but don't implant.
Even if you believe it's a life at conception, even if you think women should be punished for engaging in sex with men, even if you don't care that there's no brain present before 92% of all abortions, and even if you don't care about the life of the mother or the kid beyond removing a medical choice from the woman, the road from fertilized egg to actual infant viable outside the womb is surprisingly difficult.
At the end of the day it really does feel like their concern is just about removing the choice of how a woman lives her life and making a child into a punishment. It's bizarre, ahistorical, and cruel as they don't even bother to make healthcare or child rearing any safer or easier alongside this.
"the road from fertilized egg to actual infant viable outside the womb is surprisingly difficult."
And? How does this change anything?
The fact that you should explain this Neanderthal level knowledge is baffling. America is wild af
True. But what about third trimester? This country has 2 radical views on abortion unlike nearly all of Europe where they ban abortions after 15 weeks. The US (was) one of the few countries that offered abortion on demand at any stage under and circumstance.
I'd like to see your source claiming a wildly high 92% of ALL abortions occur before any development of the child's brain. I would find it hard to believe that at even 50%. Especially when we know the child's heart/heartbeat forms at around 5 to 6 weeks. You really going to try to convince me something with a heart isn't alive??? That you are somehow NOT taking a life?
The at conception thing is indeed dumb. But at about 5-6 weeks there is literally a heartbeat. To me, that is definitely life.
I honestly believe these videos Andrew & crew put out will be referenced by historians of the future. No matter which side of the debate you belong, displaying american/western society in such a raw way is definitely valuable in and of it self. I hope you never stop making these videos
calling it a debate may even be put into question in the historical text one day. A pathological liar may argue that your stab wound wouldn't be as bad as what the stabber is gonna go through in jail, so they argue its your own responsibility and your own failt for going out at night. Historians may see calling this a matter of debate as just another tool of the anti choice crowd.
@@crabinijig8403 Oh I most definitely agree.
But this is what our still advancing civilization looks like today. Although the extremely flawed morality of forcing women to carry to term *shouldn't* be up for debate, it unfortunately still very much is, in todays society.

Amazing work as always! My wife was pregnant with fraternal twins and we lost one at 8 weeks. I lost my shit and felt torn apart from my insides. To this day I can't tell if I was so sad because I wanted the baby to live or because the baby died. I really questioned if I should be 100% pro-choice or it maybe there is something to it that early. Most people don't even know they are pregnant at 8 weeks. I still think everyone should be able to choose for themselves, but not being able to figure out which reason I was so broken up over still gets me. My son that made it will be 3 soon and I still think about the loss of the other one. In the end it's not a cut and dry answer that the government should have any say in. Leave people alone and let them make their own decisions.
That’s really rough, I’m sorry to hear that. I know multiple people who’ve had miscarriages and can’t imagine what that would be like. Despite being pro-choice and not believing that a fetus is the same as a person, it’s always incredibly sad. I think that’s because it had the potential to become a person, and in those scenarios the parents obviously want so bad for that to happen. So when it doesn’t it’s devastating. That’s how I see it at least.
That's an incredible read. I can only imagine how you felt. Thank you for sharing and I'm very sorry for your loss. I do have to disagree. It is a straight forward answer. People's bodies are their own and no one else should have a say in that. What freedoms do you actually have if you don't have that decision over your own body in the first place?

@@hobojoe9717 Agreed. Pregnancy is a bodily process that comes with a slew of uncontrollable factors. I hate the cliché of "it is what it is," and to not take away from those who experienced miscarriage. Sometimes parents could be in picture-perfect health, and still experience loss due to how the embryo developed - all controlled by the embryo's initial set of genes, and molecular cell pathways that we continue to research in embryology today, because development on the cellular level is still trying to be better understood. Even if it reaches the fetal stage, some genetic error affecting its proper development will obviously keep it from being viable.

Great episode. Lady at the end kept it real with her conviction. The question to ask her is “what right do you have to decide what is best for another woman”. I think she might have trouble with that one.
She thinks that she knows the morals of an all-powerful god, so of course she thinks those morals should be applied to everyone else.
She would just defer to “God” as the majority of pro-lifers do.
I think she’d say something like the number one concern is for the child not about what’s best for the mother.
@@kiiyll Invoking God is an easy way to push your views onto others. God's voice in people's brains is just their own narcissism.

Imma be honest, I totally respect all spectrums. The Christian woman who would not get an abortion even if she was raped is a multifaceted human being, I’m sure many people in her life think she is a great person, and same with the woman who would get an abortion who was lookin all cute in short shorts and a bikini top. Both women deserve to have equal rights and make their own choices. The issue is that now both of them will be forced to carry any pregnancy to term, no matter how risky or detrimental the situation is for them, and no matter their choice.
Depending in what state they live in.
What about the child’s rights? There is a thing called adoption
@@concept6785 Fetuses aren't children champ
I don't get how people act like its now impossible to get an abortion under all circumstances. The states simply have a right to determine it themselves meaning there are still a lot of places where nothing changes. And even in states where things are changing, there can still be exceptions for special cases like you mention (the life of the mother being in danger for example).
@@BrevityIsFTW Dude that’s kinda dark. If the baby is at a stage that it’s viable outside the mothers whom, why can’t we just remove the baby? Seems unnecessary to kill it, and to be clear I’m talking about abortions as contraceptive.

When andrew interviewed the Christian women it kinda made me uncomfortable that guy was standing right next to her the whole time nodding almost like "Good, good" like he was trying to intimidate her into keep saying their religious belief's instead of possibly her own. Best rap sequence to have occurred on this channel, by far. We have indeed heard of you Mads ...
Hey man, I appreciated what you said about immediately upon conception it doesn't make sense that it's an autonomous life, anymore than a sperm or egg cell is...
The only relevant question is: when is a human alive?
We wouldn't kill a baby after she was born just because of a bad situation. That murder.
Is there a difference between a baby 5 minutes after she's born versus 5 minutes earlier? I think logically it's self evident that a baby is alive and it's wrong to kill her 5 minutes before birth.
So now we have to backtrack. At what point after a fertilized egg successfully implants is it a living human and not just replicating cells?
Some would say immediately. Maybe, maybe not.
I think logically/scientifically it's hard to argue that a baby in the womb isn't alive with a functioning circulatory system, aka brain telling the heart to beat and pump blood to all the organs.
How do we identify a dead person? No heart beat/brain function. So that's also how we should identify a living person (with the moral right to bodily autonomy).
Haha! Yes I knew I'd find you. Liked so more can see dude!

Same people saying “banning abortion will never end abortion” disagree with “banning guns will only leave criminals with guns”….. pick a side already
When you get down to it, "reasonable" people calling for gun bans aren't expecting gun crime to end, the point is to lessen it. Gun bans do reduce the amount of crimes committed with said guns (consider the bans on fully automatics and how infrequently they are used in crimes in the US, or look at Australia's drop off in gun crime after the bans). And yes, banning abortion is a similar situation, it will reduce the amount of abortions done (legally).
@@adoredpariah there’s enough guns in the US for every person to have 4…. You’ll never ban them…. And ending abortion is simply an attempt to reverse the under population crisis. Gotta look at the big picture and “the why” to truly understand it, whether you agree or disagree it’s pretty obvious.

Not really though. Only if you're so ideologically captured as to think that she made a strong case...but that's such a sheltered attitude that it's cult-like. There's a solid rebuttal to everything she said. Not that you'd need to agree with the rebuttal, but the rebuttal can easily stale-mate what she said, such that neither position can truly claim the moral and logical high-ground. Man-on-the-street interviews like this are useless because all of these people are too dumb and/or ideologically captured to lay out the true debate...and they are all too morally juvenile to properly explore the issue itself. So people on either side will believe that their side 'won' and everyone merely remains in their own cults. Useless. We The People can't function with this level of stupidity. Some people choose to keep the child when abortion is an option. And abortion should always be an option. Just because some people find it disagreeable, doesn’t mean they should take that choice from somebody else.
Your friend is great but I strongly disagree with you. Abortion is still an option just like every other crime is. That doesn’t make it morally right. 600,000+ murders or “abortions” occurred every year without any justice. That’s not right. You would be sick if murderers were allowed to execute 600k people each year without any consequences. Plus this doesn’t take away abortion. It just brings it to the state level. If they really want an abortion they’ll just have to go to Abortion Disneyland over in California. Maybe that would incentivize them to not murder their child over an “inconvenient situation”.
I find the culture of baby murdering a little more than disagreeable
Based. Leave it up to the woman and the doctor, zero reason to get the government involved.
My mom got pregnant at 17 and had the choice to abort me. In fact her dad promised to disown her if she didn't. Obviously she chose not to and did indeed get disowned. Sometimes I think about how different our relationship would be, even subtly, if I had to always wonder if she was simply forced to have me.
Exactly, it should be a choice. I think the Christian women at the end should have a valid opinion, if she doesn't want to do it. That's great but if someone is in a worse situation, its their call. Not mine or yours, but the women's.
0:45 damn it’s pretty rare for an interviewee to talk for a minute straight without sounding nuts and just shouting slogans on this channel.

I agree that you shouldn't force your beliefs. Just like how even if you believe the child isn't alive you shouldn't force that belief on the child and kill it
Should you be forced to give an organ if it doesn't kill you but saves someone? I think we'd all agree that while it's a valid choice to do so, and I'd say that it's noble, you shouldn't be forced to do that. It's the same way for women being forced to bear a child when they don't want to; why should they be forced to carry that child to term if it means being basically handicapped for 9 months? Why should that be forced on them when we don't expect other people to handicap themselves to save someone's lives?
