5 Good but Disappointing Games From the Past 5 Years

- Just because a game is good doesn't mean it wasn't disappointing...
This is my personal list; you probably won't agree with everything I say.
The reason a lot of this gameplay is not my own is because my capture card wasn't working for some reason and because my disk drive for my Xbox One no longer works.

The only thing that kept me playing fallout 4 was the mods

You should change your opinion on battlefront 2, it really is a good game now. There isn’t any micro transactions, it looks fantastic, the devs listen to the fans and everything looks quite crisp and clean apart from small bugs. It still gets updated today and there’s 2 years worth of free dlc just waiting to be played with.

They sure do “listen” to their fans..... that’s why they added bowling balls instead of actual heroes

They do listen though, that is why we are literally getting everything we are asking for:
Split screen
Ot content
New heroes
New maps (scarif)
Bug fixes (maybe not this one)
And balancing (also not this one)
Battlefront is such a better game. I truly am glad i got it at the end of 2018 just as the game was undergoing so many magnificent changes.
I just realized how small this channel is. Got a feeling it’s about to blow up!

far cry new dawn, fallout 76... do i need to say more? Ive bought both games and while 76 is a "öhm" "decent" game new dawn is a lost cause. Story is boring as hell, map is same from far cry 5 (which i loved and still play), there is no weapon customization like in far cry 5 which also made it such an amazing game, and after you beat new dawn the game becomes boring. You are op as hell, there is no challenge and all you can do is loot loot and loot. Worst 20€ ive ever spent even 76 is better and i still play it for fun.
I enjoyed New Dawn but it was nowhere near as good as Far Cry 5. Far Cry 5 was an absolutely fantastic game.
Ooh man, *The Culling 2.* That was a piece of work. *The Culling 1* is still an amazing game and is coming back (again) soon.
Holy shit the culling was my introduction to the battle royale and had always been my favourite

@@Isaacfess i don't like the concept I won battle royales by only killing 1 person camping is rewarded if I sit in a Abandoned cabin in Pubg or hide as a bush in fortnite and snipe the last person I win with minimal effort so it's lazy concept in my opinion

Thanks to fallout 4, I got into the fallout series. After playing new Vegas though, I can definitely see the flaws in 4, but I still play it often.

@@unternehmen_wacht_am_rhein fallout 4 crashes too much and survival mode you can't quicksave so it's bad in my opinion also the unique weapons are underwhelming there just variants of existing with a legendary effect like Kellogg's pistol

@@Local_commentor I did play on PS4 pro bit that got too laggy and not even my mid to high range gaming pc can run it smoothly
I've played Battlefield 1 for 100s of hours and I can understand the complaints regarding "realisticness". But it still was an amazing experience I will not forget, you still had tons of those classic "Battlefield moments" and that's what defines it for me.
Ana Bang personally Battlefield 1 is my favourite game ever(just above red dead 2, which is also somehow on this list). I’m a history fan and even though it wasn’t 100% historically correct, the scenarios in operations really got me invested as I imagined myself as a solder from each of the countries in the game.
BF1 is the only Battlefield I can enjoy, the other ones are just generic and have crappy progression systems.

I mean Destiny 1 and 2 had disappointing launches but id hardly call them disappointments overall. It’s the 2nd most successful FPS franchise since D1 launches back in 2014 (behind only CoD which is the biggest franchise in all of gaming) and it’s active daily player base YEARS after launch(1 million daily) is still so massive that it’s gets more daily players than Battlefield 1 had at its peak(750k on launch). It’s a wildly popular game.
Borderlands is better
SnurpSnip Borderlands is a great game, that being said Destiny blows it out of the water in both popularity and success. Boarderlands 3 held its player base for what? 2 weeks?
BF1 for me absolutely doesn't represent WW1 correctly. Lack of artillery, people running around with assault rifles and SMGs that didn't even exist at the time as well as the overly tactacool cosmetics and skins really messes up my immersion. Verdun and Tannenberg all though not looking as pretty definitely sell the WW1 vibe with accurate cosmetics, basically instant TTK and bolt action rifles galore. Any automatic or semi automatic guns were actually used as well and in a fairly large quantity. Shameless plug but if you don't know either of those two games check out my UA-cam channel to see no hud gameplay for both.
its a battlefield game first and foremost, it just uses the setting for inspiration. its not dices job to make a trench and gangrene simulator so im glad they are free to game-ify it while others focus on sims
I like fallot 4 alot but I stop playing it after my game soft lock quite far into the game

If you haven't yet, you still should play Arkham Origins, it's still an amazing game, with some of the best bossfights in the whole series.

Mafia 3 could have been way more but I enjoyed the base game as I got used to things like graphical bugs

Good but disappointing... hmmm. Dungeon Defenders Awakened, GTA 5, and I think that's about it?
Borderlands 3 might be added to this list but I have to wait 9 more days for the extremely delayed PC port to finally come out.
I personally like destiny 2 more then any of the helos which I grow up with ( 2 onwards) and I 100 percented all the arkham game I think knight has the best over all although city definitely beats it a hundred times over boss fight wise but the normal combat stealth and side quests were just so much better than the rest not to mention the amazing upgrade in graphics and the only worth buying dlcs

Mass Effect: Andromeda was good from moment to moment, it was everything holding those moments together that sucked. The gunplay and powers were great and it felt fun to roam around in the Nomad. But the story ranged from meh to horrible, the exploration was all surface detail with no depth, the characters were nothing compared to previous BioWare games, the crafting system was annoying, and of course it was horribly buggy. It's definitely the kind of game you can put a lot of hours into once but never pick up again.
honestly, the most dissapointing games for me (not within the last 5 years) were Assassin's Creed Black Flag and Rogue, way too much naval stuff, too little of that classic Assassin's Creed rooftop runs
At the end he shows shadow of the tomb raider gameplay but calls it rise of the tomb raider. Apart from good video.

I think that for me, the most disappointing game this decade was definitely Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 since that whole game was a rushed mess and felt like a huge slap in the face to not only me but the whole Tony Hawk Pro Skater community.
Unironically: DMC5. I loved the gameplay and aesthetic, yet some things were cringe.
Story? Bad, nero and dante weren't as interesting and the banter wasn't as funny as it was in previous games. Soundtrack? Meh. Characters? Not as well developed or intresting as past installments (with the exception of Nero).
Even though I was dissapoint, its still a solid 9/10.
I cant play fallout 4 anymore in large part bcuz of the opening being a huge repetitive chore. Plus i played vegas and i hate to be a stereotype but... its kinda way better. It does things fallout 4 should have, and realizing those things existed makes their absence more unbearable.

@Benny Fair fax Fallout 4 has better mod support and is less "janky" overall.
Dylan Allen zoomed detected. FO4 is only better in terms of gun play and graphics. NV is a much better RPG and has a more interesting location and story overall.

No destiny 1 is far far better than destiny 2 and i have 150 more hours on destiny 2 than destiny 1
I don’t know “far far better”, D1Y1 despite its serious flaws was much better than D2Y1 but since forsaken they are very similar games and with trials coming back next season they will be even more similar.
