Love how he has a joint and a beer in his hands during the podcast, such a humble and ballsy dude.
I love how amazed they are by, well, multiplication.
"WOAH"
Kelly. lol
mutiplication is fucking radical
@@Ryan-xq3kl I trip out on that.
Geometry would blow these guys minds
Speaking of French Fred, that's an episode that is long overdue 😏
facts
Man the myth the legend
The frangel
Lol I just came from his channel, wats the odds eh?
They’re impressed with the littlest math possible
How many mathematicians are skaters... But your right there mathematic knowledge is funny.
Lol fr jaws blew their mind with the stair addition “formula” lol I love these boys
@@premonemo Rodney Mullen
What a great story, especially that cake detail, got me emotional! Love the diversity of styles in skateboarding and appreciating the unique side to them all! Watching Jaws is amazing!
so he ollied off a professional sized halfpipe which is actually even more insane if you think of it in that term
I show the Jaws Lyon video to foster children I work with, to show them how to get back up again. Thanks Jaws!
thats incredible man, very commendable what you do for work. good job.
man that's so beautiful i hope they're all doing well
Did Jeron just say "I didn't realize he tried that" in regard to Ali Boulala hahaha
That's what made Ali big lmao he's baked or something hahaha
haha different circles in skate culture back then im sure, jeron knows baker but the fresh crews back in the day probably didnt pay close attention to baker and the hesh dudes
Just imagine how pissed roger looked
Ali was never on Baker, he's just homies with them and had guest spots in their videos.
He skated for Flip. His attempt at the Lyon spot is in Sorry (2002)
@@ivyelizabeth8672that was one of tricks he did for his video part in Sorry
Jaws is awesome, such a genuine dude. Met him after he hurt himself on the first trip, before he went back. I got to smoke a blunt with him, and he wasn't able to skate or tell us why he was hurt
Who remembers the OG Jamie Thomas jumping off that leap of faith video mind blown during that era but jaws took it to whole new level on drops its insane.
ua-cam.com/video/kCW7o0QFEJ4/v-deo.html
And Shecklers Costco Gap ollie & Kflip too
That man will always be in my top 3 gnarliest skaters... ABOLUTE. FUCKING. LEGEND. Whatta madman...
who are the other two
Heath Kirchart if you looking for some more gnar.
Wee man.
Shoutout to Jaws’ dad! He clearly raised his son well!
This stair set is creepy. The footage of him getting hurt on the first attempt is insane.
Super gnarly
Ali Boulala broke his ankles first try
@@nvm9040 I don't remember that being the case.
@@MichaelSeanDemalignonII okay
@@nvm9040literally blew his pockets off his pants too haha
It's not a mystery, jaws is a god and he can land gaps that most people can't dream about. He may not have the highest technical skills but he is the best gap skater ever
He's also a super nice guy
hes not going to be fully respected until hes gone. hes up there with tony hawk and the gonz as far as im concerned
Best big gap skater. Not technical gap skater
I don't think you can say who is the best. Like Joslin is up there. Jaws probably has the biggest balls tho
He's the best biggest drop skater (not necessarily best biggest gap skater), so far that is.
This man will never be replaced. 1 of a kind. And aawsome guy.
The wonderment of how height, width and distance are calculated is beautiful.
kinda sad. lol
this is so humble and i want jaws as my friend so bad
What awesome story about the security guards! Amazing. They made history possible! And Jaws made history!
Barely even dragged his arm on the landing, so clean 🔥
Jaws looks like a pug
Aaron Jaws is something out of this world man, I'll never get tired of saying it
It's cool that his dad is so involved
Jaws being into One Piece is fucking rad
Unreal. Pro skaters have bigger balls than any other pro athlete out there.
Not as bigger Balls than Slopestyle in Redbull Rampage.
I would also include big wave surfing
When I used to skate, I used to think that but since then been endurance running, mountaineering, alpine climbing, mtb and man in every sport the elite nowadays is just literally unbelievable. But I'd agree, pro skaters are among the rather big ball group of people
@@benegesserit9836 well said
@@InternetExplorer91 honestly fuck skating when it comes to fear factor. Can you imagine HUGE WAVES over you and your main goal is to ride it out? The sea is terrifying as it is
I seen homie on cave creek and Bell driving on my side i rolled down my window and said dude are u jaws he said yhea put his hands together in a praing way and said thancks such cool dude and respectfull right away... just a dope ass skater man.....ill always remenber that ....prety cool man...
Love how prepared he is even measuring the stairs
Massive respect to Aaron Homoki!
Just look at him. Man's insane
I honestly LOVE the microphone in front of the monitor. Never change!
Jaws is basically an X-Men. He has shock absorbing knees and Wolverine's healing factor.
I'd honestly be interested in seeing some type of medical examination on him. Like....wtf. His body structure and what he can actually do just doesn't make any God damn sense.
His FP insoles surely must help
The only explanation I've heard before that makes sense was that he grew up jumping off roofs and bouncing on his trampoline in AZ...so that could've maybe made his knees super strong / springy at an early age? I'm not sure. Either way, the dude is a beast.
The Louisville Ollie was absolutely death defying.
One the greatest tricks ever done
The double set at the end reminds me some much of 'Leap of faith'
Jaws is a straight beast.
I would also say that the one ollie where he starts on top of the hubba and ollies over the 20 stair is taller than Lyon
My boy jaws is a one piece fan 😆 thats awesome he probably thinks his arms and legs are made of rubber like my boy luffy
ikr ! its kinda unexpected lmao
Nobody should have anything but respect for this guy. He has done amazing things on a board. And you can clearly see his love for skateboarding, it's probably the only thing bigger then the shit he's tossing himself off.
Clive is rad but Clint is just as rad if not more...his Saturdays part was gnarly
Gives security the mag with chocolates ... great interview!!
Jaws the typa guy to go sky diving and just bring his skateboard 😭😭😆😭😆
hahahhahhaa 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣hahahahhaha
0:50 I really thought Jaws was out there using trig identities to measure stairs for a second lol
made it 90 seconds but the way numbers destroy the hosts brains was killing my brain.
Knows the specs off the top his head 😮
That is emotional as shit. it only takes hospitalization. Ripped/torn/whatever l-m-p-ACL's. And another attempt after pt and recovery and visualization of the gnarliest shit to bring skaters and security together.
Lol my man’s talking measurements with a modelos and joint in hands double fisting 🤣
Filmer: I didnt film. Imagine😂
Jaw's seems like the coolest dude in the world. He is so fuckin gnarly.
Parowax and duct tape, childhood staples for sure.
Not to take anything away from Jaws at all, but it’s mental Ali Boulala tried this in 2001. Thats 20 years ago
And wasnt prepared or ready.
He didn’t land it either
You're not taking anything away from Jaws by saying that, because Ali didn't land it. Doesn't count

A like for the beer and splif in the same shot.
I remember as a kid me and my friends always heard about the 'Leap Of Faith' gap.
Jaws a Legend
He must have like the world's strongest skateboard, and bones!
A clear mind doesn't mean blackout Mr Roberts :D
I swear jaws is the greatest skater ever just on pure guts alone. That kotr shit when he kneed his own jaw apart and didn't even leave the trip was unreal and this just makes sense seeing it really.
Jaws true LEGEND
I think Ali Boulala criticized the fact he wore kneepads
Sneaking them under his clothes too. 😑
He wore a whole padded suit and used a roll in instead of pushing, and Ali thought it was kooked to fly him out there with Jaws's dad and pop champagne bottles and cry together, and then continually refer to it as an ollie and not a melon grab. I totally agree with Ali
Ali is jealous cause he didn't get it. Bro tore his MCL and still went back skateboarders are such goddamn bridge goblins.
@@joelglanton6531 someones jelly
I kept waiting for the joke or wondering where the sarcasm was when they asked about finding the height of stairs using…. Ahhh…. measuring and multiplication with numbers.
I mean, i get not immediately knowing if you've never thought about that sort of thing before, but the continued bewilderment at how multiplication works was... interesting
"How do you measure that?" Ummm, using grade school level math. All you need to measure is the height and length of one stair.
The fact these guys can't comprehend simple math being applied to stairs is hilarious 🤯
Could we say this is as impressive as Shecklers Costco Gap?
This still looks unreal
That other one was not taller than Lyon 25. That shit was bonkers! 😳
A lil math lesson from JAWS
Mindfulness master Jaws!
I always wonder whether the lady walking in the back of the clip realizes that she witnessed history.
A ten step is anywhere between 5ft and 6 1/2 feet.
What a boss!! But can we please address how much he looks like Matthew Mcconaughey from true detective with the beer and the cigarette? 😅
Love Jaws
He didn't ollie the stairs. He did a melon grab. 👍🏻
Thank you Nine club for doing what you do 🙏🏼
He is still super sick today.
"HOW DO YOU MEASURE THE STAIRS???"
Stay in school kids...
Stairs have a general size (7 inches high - 11 inches long) called "rise and run" so once you are aware of this working out the math isn't difficult.
Not sure your “rise over run” phenomenon is going to teach anyone calculus but to each their own
@@chethalstead lol its not calculus its addition or multiplication if you prefer 😆
@@chethalstead what they are describing is practical mathematics, basic geometry/algebra that is used as a fundamental for grasping the concept of calculus. Contextualizing more intermediate topics, like calculus, through basic real-world examples - such as the rise and run of stairs - is essential for understanding the real world (more sophisticated) applications of the basics. These applications include Engineering, carpentry, construction... unless of course you just want to shove your nose in a book like an ostrich for the rest of your life 🤣
These guys seemed to be struggling with a 10 stair being 5 feet, it needs to be dumbed down a bit
@@chethalstead lol. calling a 4th grade multiplication problem calculus
MAthemathics and physics up in this bish.
so gnarly
Now I get WHY he's called JAWS. Lol
Amazing trick and skater
Oh that’s why jaws got his nick name
Lucky 13 jaws is a beast
that one piece poster tho 👀
14 feet 9 inches 22 foot drop. flat to flare gap world record is 16 feet I think lot less pact but room to go bigger.
Nobody will Ollie more stairs then Jaws🦈
That's not necessarily true.
Someone will at some point. I’ve read some physics articles that break jumps and gaps down and it’s actually insane how far you can go if all the factors are correct. Don’t ask me to recall it though as it’s been a decade haha
The thumbnail doe
"But how do you get the height of the stairs". Hahaha. really?
Imagine how much you would blow these dudes minds if you showed them how to multiply basic numbers.
I'm not skateboarder, I do bikes, ice hockey, wakeboarding, but Jaws does not stop suprising me, everytime I see his stunts. Hats off mate!
7 inch tall 11 inch wide is your perfect step what contractors strive for if possible in the situation
I used to build stairs.. average size is based on 7 inch height with an 11 inch tread..
Aaron jaws Ollied that 25 stair set on a skateboard
This is the greatest feat of skateboarding ever done
Wray water tower?
@@dro_dozer true...true
tony hawks 900??
Blender doing a Wooly Mammoth. ;)
@@dro_dozer the water tower gap is physically much more possible than the 25 stair I think. The mental aspect and the fact that the room for error is so small are the two biggest challenges. But overall technically way more people are capable of that tower gap than people who could land the Leon gap.
Wait, how do we measure the stairs again?
Skateboarders doing math is painful.
Anyone able to find the Lyon newspaper article anywhere?
You can find the link in the French Wikipedia article: fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lyon_25
that may have actually helped a bit to get two practice tries, go home and think about it, and then come back and run it for real. If he would have done it all on the first day who knows how it would have gone. I just know taking a break can help, when you're hyper focused on something that's one area of the brain, on a break it can go thru all areas of the brain and pick up more info to solve the problem
second one was 22 stairs.. stairs do seem a little bit bgger though.. nonetheless, both are amazing
The “double set” definitely appears to have taller steps. Even if it’s just an inch taller each step than the Lyon steps, that would already make it taller
Cool story but give the security guard more than a box of chocolates lol, give him at least a grand or something. Without him doing that you don't have that cover shoot happen. I dunno I guess I'm a believer in hooking up people that hook you up and a box of chocolates and a magazine cover is not it.
Yeah right a grand, choccies is about right pal
There is waaaay more to life than dough
Will any bigger set ever be done? I highly doubt it, I could not fucking believe this when the footage came out.
Rise and run for height and Length
Legend.
7 to 8 inches ;)
