I remember being disappointed that Greg didn't end up playing on the football team. I felt like he was supposed to be there. Sometimes things don't work out the way we want them to.

I agree with you there. That was just one of the reasons I refused to play football in highschool. I think that it is bad enough knowing that a person could get injured in a car accident or getting in or out of the shower at home. I am 50 years old now. I would feel like an idiot if I had a severe injury from something happening to me 30 years ago. I don't see what any guy gets out of having limited abilities and then saying that it's an old football injury
Mom, what are my chances of getting hit in that exact same spot? Better than you think. That other player's helmet didn't just hit him in a random spot. And if he gets hit again anyplace or falls on his face, it will jar his whole rib cage and make the fracture worse.
Rib injuries are awful. It hurt so much that i hated breathing and laughing. It took me 8 months to recover completely. No, Greg, playing in the game is too much of a risk
Football payers generally have short, painful careers. When you are in your youth you should take up a non-contact sport like tennis or squash that you can play for decades. When was the last time you saw a bunch of guys in their fifties putting on the helmets and pads to play tackle football?

Wow, i don't remember that coach being so creepy! This actor seemed more suited for a 70's medication commercial than a coach, especially one that has such suggestive lines about what he expects of first-string players and sending everyone out of the room before telling Greg to lift his shirt up!

When I first watched this episode, the scene where Greg lifted his football uniform to show his stomach injury to the coach was quite unpleasant to watch at the time. 😖🏈🩸
