In fairness, the spotters are more or less directly above the start finish line. There is zero way they can tell inside or not at that oblique of an angle. They even said it on the broadcast and that down there it's mostly on the drivers to keep it straight

Honestly, these kids wreck too much. In the 70's and 80's and even into the 90's they wrecked, but nothing like this. Driving ability has went way down in NASCAR

At first I thought it was all of Austin's fault but if you watch, Reddick goes up to side draft before the turn and doesn't go down all the way to the line. 4:21 He stayed up a little so it was definitely 50/50. Austin anticipated that he would dive down to the line but he didn't.

Tony S. threw his helmet at Matt Kenseth as Matt was going by under caution and Matt went on to win. Think Reddick went on for a top ten. I think NASCAR is going to join up with the formula cars as they are doing lots of road racing. That will bring the formula drivers here in droves.
