As a former Durham native currently living in New York City for the last 49 years, I have never heard of this restaurant. I am learning of these establishments by watching your videos. When my mother was alive in the Bull City, during my visits, she would take me to restaurants or carry outs in Durham that sold fish sandwiches. My mother passed away in 2013, my uncle passed away in 2015, and my last 2 aunts in Durham past away back to back in 2019. I haven't been home in 3 years but I do plan to visit this year in 2022 because I want to visit my mother's and family members graves in Beechwood Cemetery. Watching your videos about Soul Food in Durham is educational for me because I plan to visit some of these establishments when I come home. As a 4 year heart attack survivor, I only eat grilled or baked Salmon and Chicken. However, I do cheat every now and then by eating a good old southern cooked bone fish sandwich as I did this past Good Friday 2022. 😀

Go back and give it another shot, alot has changed. Still my favorite restaurant in Durham. Chef Pete is the greatest. He would more than likely take the time to sit and chat for a while.

Yo go to momma noras in Raleigh and just try a half chicken. Peruvians generally fo a rotisserie style chicken but they do it in the best way in my opinion. Imma be real I’ve only heard of how great it is but I haven’t tried because I’m afraid it’s gonna suck lol. Can you try it for me please? Lol
Go to JC's or Let's Ear or V's Kitchen can't miss with them......this restaurant is for the people from up top that don't know any better. It's a shame Durham is gentrifying in multiple ways

Why you lie to me
My honest opinion is that he really doesn't know anything about soul food he eats the same food at every soul food spot that he goes to ,all he Eats plane food that you can get from a fast food spot ,he doesn't eat food that seniors folks eat pigs feet or liver gravey an onions etc he's to young to be speaking on what is a good or bad soul food joint,he's needs to stay whit hotdogs an hamburger and pizza spots
