The original MPC stood for Midi Production Center, not music. Play begins wherever you stopped in the song. "Play Start" takes you to the top of track. Record will overwrite the track, dub will add to what you already have.
Really, Midi P C, Okay, but even the midi in these ones you can not any midi note you want, you cant pan any note you want, my old MC 505 can way way more than all the mpc s put together, I know you wont believe if more people get into the MPC you will seeing them bash it, its just Sample Based Artist more using the MPC, Anyways I want the playhead to come in view whenver I want, the playhead stays whereever it even when you press play, yet it plays but playhead could be else, you will now need to scroll to search for the where the playhead is, if you are understanding. this is a huge problem if you are recording long audio instead short 4 or 8 bars repeating itself. Playhead to be in view all the time is not possible in MPC I wanna know.

They say the perfect gear doesn't exist and we have to find ways to work around issues to get the desired results. To be fair, I haven't mastered the 3.0 update myself. I understand that it's in Beta and not officially released as stable yet. However, I have seen "Real Musicians" produce all genres of music on MPCs with little to no issues.
I love the MPC because its very close to close to computer style recording, but too complicated, and lots of headache to do smple things, I just wish they see this video and do something, and if not I just fix my old groov box and use it as sequencer and see what is out there, Maschine is not my style, its too particular and not general enough, I am a musician I love something that can work for audio recording and complex midi recording
I depends on how you use it , I use it to produce and sell beats . The reason I bought it is because it puts how a high quality sound even sounds packs that I have that I thought were low quality was amplified in the MPC . I used FL studio , Logic Pro ,koala sampler , etc and I had to do a lot of work to get the sound the MPC puts out immediately. I have over 400 gigs of sounds use it for digital production but I want my sound to sound as the same quality of playing an instrument and the MPC gives me that .I’ve noticed that the beats I make with the MPC sell faster .
Yes I make music for the same. Had the mpc studio 2 but I want stand alone. I do have the maschine but want that akai groove and sound. I can’t see buying the live 2 if the mpc one plus is the same as in the daw and all and I don’t need extra inputs and outputs right now.
But dear, bug is not bug, when features are removed, or when basic editing features are absent completely. I know what to do, if those basic editing things are still missing. we will see, I am gettign tired of scratching brain how to simply mute a single note instead deleting it, or where the playhead is somewhere while am working if yu get my point, these are not bugs, but the Akai people think everybody working with 4 or 8 bars loops.
PLEASE Let us get these messages to Akai so that these get fixed when the final update is released, otherwise maybe I sell mine and find something else. share this video or its link to Akai

Record a live vocals or anything audio you want, at least 5 tracks, no loops, like something three minutes or more, then you will need to edit because their are things you will want to perfect, then come and back with your findings, before you talk. Talk is cheap, we are are showing you here practicals. How many grooveboxes and hardware recorders have you used, apart from MPC, then you will know. Its like someone used a DAW and realize its a lot easier than a 4 track cassette recorders.
MPC 3 is fuuuull of annoying bugs and glitches. The play start not doing a full stop first is horrible. So dumb. The rev/fwd buttons I don't agree with you: there are qlinks for that!!
Do you record audio like guitars vocals bass etc and edit effects etc, then you will realize forward and rewind is a must, because MPC you cant see what part of the bar you are at when you open an effect page or mixer it just close the page to see where you are. If you make music based on short pattern you string together and do record Audio enough, yes you can see a few bar easy, but when recording Audio till bar 100 and more you will need to fast forward or have a way to go to any point in the song, I dont mean fast ward like rolling as a cassete I mean a way to go any part of the timeline. DJ style production is easy, but linear and full production you going to find a way to see deep into the song.

@@MarcusEDM in 2.5 I could not even record audio in five minutes it will stop, it never really did not encourage to record audio. of course you can record short audio and edit away, but there wee no bug at all, zero bug or glitches, was perfect. sometimes the 3.0 or point whatever just turns off, yes its not full release yet, but a feature lacking is lacking. its not meant for real Music production, maybe sample a couple of audio short audio. I just want Akai to see this video and get moved, because it is pathetic, even the features to navigate back and forth is there when you open an effect to tweak it covers the whole you cant know what part of the song you are on. In pattern or sequence mode is not a big problem because you are working on a short oiece repeating and repating, but still is VERY BAD. If some Big UA-camr who records music sees this and complains, Akai sales will drop badly, not even a joke. I dont like maschine is like a ytpical computer DAW it doesnt feel like a hardware style, its like an Ipad with hardware. Nothing I can see to buy except the Mpc one plus is the best, very small and really good looking, but the software is a horror, its good sampling incredible, a loop machine, if you make hip hop and simple beats without complex arrangement Akai is great. But its not at all something that everyone can use, you will lose your patience many times, anf you will remember I told you. even when you get used to it, it just does simple in very complicated and unnecessary ways, soon you get fedup and just keep it somewhere. I think another company will come to this market of studio in a box and knock out Akai. Just a laptop and some cool controller will be great. I will search for something to make pro music of any type with. MPC people are naive they dont know what others are doing and have done before so they think they on top. because a few UA-camr hype them up.

MPC 3 is a Beta release. There will be bugs.
