Question, do you add some form of Audio to your productions, like record voice, guitars, bass or rap sing etc, or you are more of BEATS and samples for the audio, curious to know, or you record your audio outside the MPC standalone, let us know.
Yes the new update and the new direction MPC is taking is like a DAW and many people are happy with that, but many people complained and said they removed some of the way it was working before this upcoming 3.0 series. My point is that if it looking and working like a DAW, Then let it be like normal, you cant hang in between. And DAW or no DAW, We still need a easy way to navigate around the timeline, if you are recording Audio or even midi, If you watch this video in full you will understand. if for example ou recorded your voice singing or rapping and made a mistake around bar 21, say you recorded a short audio at that point in the track, after that point its silence and the beat is playing, so you have to forward, or find a way to take music to that position to hear that phrase you sang, so you want hear it and maybe fix it or add whatever you like to do to it, so if you are on the effect for example you want use delay or compressor to mask or whatever, The problem when you press play it will play but it will continue to go forward, and you want to play that place over and over till you finish what you are doing in that area, but in the MPC it will move away and the only way to rewind back to that point is to leave the page effect, mixer page, you cant seethe timeline only in the main page, but in the main page there nothing yo can do. So every recording machne ever created have a way yuo can move round the time, excep Akai. The UA-camrs like Bolo da producer, DJ McAvree etc these people didnt see all these problem so we all though MPC got it all together but its a hype. It backward, mc roland series and the old drum machines, all the VS sries and all the Korg macjine from beginning of time all can do what I ask. DAW or no DAW navigation should be easy and no matter what page you are on navigation should be possible. Just try to record something serious like a real work you hope to release, you will the problem am talking about, but if you are just mocking around you might not get to the point where naviagtion at any point will be needed. Thanks
@@boomboombaby9140 Okay brother, but the idea of the MPC is to stay away frpm the computer, and stay Dawless. The Dawless is a new world ready to boom, where people looking for hardware gadgets to make full production. But AKAI doesnt know that this MPC could change the way people make music forever. Because it can repalce the computer, but they just dont know how to get the workflow easy enough, the potential is right there in the MPC
@@theministryofsound7448 see that loop bracket at the top of the time line? use it to loop where ever even vocals. if you want all daw functions go to a daw. simple and its still a beta man.
😂 who keeps rewinding every few seconds to work on a section when you could just loop the section. Problem solved now you don’t need to keep rewinding. Nobody is buying that MPC from you with all that tape on it 😂
Am sure wont need to rewind since you make 4 or 8 bar loops and join variations of that and song is done. yes but when you record real audio, guitar, vocals, shakers, bass, etc, there will clicks, or someone tap on the mic you need to hear that over till you remove it, how are you going to loop something of 1 seconds, and sibilance you want to tame, you need to hear that part, over and over otherwise it will roll forward and keep rolling till the end. I see you are not a musician, that is why you cant see my point, in reality you wont, but want to just talk quickly without actually realizing the practicality of what I am saying, listen so when you choose the effect to fix an issue, your loop of even I beat of a bar MPC cant do that, will not work, so you can see you are talking nonsense, try to loop even 1 beat of a bar, right now, try it now, see how it works out.
@@theministryofsound7448you sound goofy! What you just described is engineering and production. You don’t need to know how to play the instruments live to understand how to eq, compress and edit sound. Once the audio is recorded it doesn’t matter if you played it or someone else played it, it’s already recorded and there for you to make the edits. You think live recordings are the only sounds that need edits!?There’s clicks and pops in samples! There’s frequencies that stick out that need’s to be tamed. You don’t know what I play, record or do 😂 you assume just because you might play live instruments that makes you superior to what others do. In fact I do record live instruments. I also record vocals and edit them. Thing is I don’t do everything in the MPC and most people don’t. I only had the MPC for four months, you assume much😂 I use the MPC because it’s fun and one of the many tools I have at my disposal to create my art. @ everyone but you are exporting stems and mixing and mastering the final products in a DAW like ProTools, Studio One, Logic ect…. The MPC is not the final tool used before releasing a song/album. If you need more than 8 tracks of audio then maybe you shouldn’t be using the MPC to record.
this vid is useless. so go back to 2.15 oh wait it was worse lol. ppl complain about a beta. Tell us you cant produce without telling us you cant produce. you need a mixer and a midi keyboard to go full dawless or just stick to a pc bro.

It’s a MPC not a daw bro it will never work like a daw it will just be a MPC with daw like features
