      i love the sound of those machines. they can never be replicated. if youve been using your mpc one for a while, do me a favour and fire up your 60 or 3000 and put some drums through it. Since its been a while since youve used it youll notice a huge difference and develop an appreciation for the older machines as they all have a time and place for a specific beat.

    I really like your style of videos. Thank you for the video It’s really awesome. I am a professionally trained artist and a self trained keyboard / piano player. Over the last 12 years I have gotten into MPC, Sampling, and Drum machines. MPC and sampling is just amazing. It is really to get lost in a zen meditation doing this.

    • @dubsbangermusic
      @dubsbangermusic  Рік тому +1

      thank you man i really appreciate that. i wish i had the talent of being able to play a keyboard. have you ever played random notes on the piano or keyboard just fooling around and record it? after that you can sample your piano chops hip hop style and create a whole new vibe from it. try it out and let me know how it goes.

    • @NimbleX-MC
      @NimbleX-MC Рік тому

      Yes over the last about 14 years I started to write my own music. So sometimes I sample my own cord or note progressions into the MPC One. That is really fun and also fun to mess around with the MPC plugins for effects. Originally I wanted the MPC to also work with field recordings, but then I started to love to sample vinyl so much that I haven’t done that as much as I should. However, I am going to be getting the new MPC X SE soon and then I am planning to really dive into a lot more layering and arranging or synth parts, vinyl/movie sound and beats and possibly some vocals. I am a big fan of the MPC workflow. I like it much better than working on a DAW in a computer. It is more spontaneous and creates a better flow.

      @@maciekz1z fuck its so hard to pick. i think the mpc 2500 is better than the 2000xl as it has more options memeory and features and effects. the mpc one is realt dope you can do so much with it. its hard for me to say as i have both. if youre going to sell the 2500 i would then buy the one tbh cuz the xl takes a lot of getting use to.

    Hey Dubs, what do you think about this EA ski fellar dissing new mpcs. I know your heart is in the older one's but what do u think. I couldn't afford the older mpcs back in the days so my first mpc was the mpc live and I think it's 🔥

    • @dubsbangermusic
      @dubsbangermusic  Рік тому

      me coming form the older mpcs and effects cards etc... they sound way better and have that "hip hop sound". easki actually took my instagram video where i compared the xl the x with the same sample and the xl was fatter and sounded way better where as the x was flat and airy...
      so in my opinion i love the live/x/1/2 for it has enabled me to make new kinds of sounding beats... workflow wise the xl is way faster for me with the x it has cool effects but it needs to have effects added to the beat for it to sound good. thats in a nutshell, theres nothing wrong with your live.... i suggest to use to harmonic effects air flavor and use drum effects on your drums

  • @DJFurio
    @DJFurio Рік тому +1

    Another great video. Always interesting to see the different techniques you use on your beats and the helpful tips you give to people.
    Was there a reason you pitched each sample down to -5 one at a time? I usually choose the option for all and then just turn down the dial to pitch everything in the program down all at once. Maybe the older MPC doesn’t have that option so it’s how you’re used to doing it?

    • @dubsbangermusic
      @dubsbangermusic  Рік тому +1

      all my samples are apart of the same program, if i were to do that then all of my samples would be -5. Im use to the old mpcs so i manually chop everything into the same program unless i have drum breaks and bass sounds which i do have other programs for. I find that when you make a new program all the sounds cut each other off and it becomes confusing and time consuming for me to layer samples over each other.

    • @DJFurio
      @DJFurio Рік тому

      Ah that makes sense. I’ve only been using MPCs for about 6 years so I still have a lot to learn, especially about the older ones.

    • @dubsbangermusic

      yessir 416 in the building!!! The xl hits way harder on any sample vs the x. i recorded the same drum break from vinyl using the same rca cords and you can even see the wave length is shorter on the x. huuuuuuge difference in my opinion. even when using effects it still sounds airy

    Dubs how would you compare the sound of the XL vs the X? Does the X knocks?

    • @dubsbangermusic
      @dubsbangermusic  Рік тому +1

      i like the sound of the xl way better. in my opinion its a huge difference in sound. but i also use to the onboard 16 eb fx card. i did a sample comparison on my tik tok and instagram where i recorded the same drum break from vinyl using the same cords and you can hear and see the wave form is a huge difference. you can check it out on my tik tok and see what im talking about. even with the effects the x will sound more hollow and airy as where the xl sounds more punchy and full
