The 3m performance has been the only gun I use in my shop for both boat painting and even gelcoat. I have even been considering selling the probably $3000 worth of other spray guns in my drawer since I don’t even use them anymore. For me it’s more about the fact that if gelcoat hardens in my gun I don’t have to throw away a 100-1200 spray gun, I just need, at the worst, to change the needle. The tips last forever compared to old accuspray because they are easier to clean. They also attach way more securely and they lay down AwlCraft and clear coat like a MIRROR. I’m not sure I’ve ever used a 3m product that wasn’t the best of its item class. 3m has expensive products in comparison to other brands, but every single one of those products are better then the competition. If your on the fence about getting this gun, trust me you will not be unhappy!
Hull healers boat, would you recommend buying this gun kit if I was just using it for furniture spraying/ refinishing. Iam a furniture flipper. I have a 50 litre compressor , will it keep up. The furniture pieces I upcycle are small to medium. Thanks 👍
@@skrefurbishedinteriors This gun will certainly handle whatever it is that you need to spray. However, as far as your compressor goes, I do not know. I believe anything above 10 CFM @40 psi would be fine (you will need to convert to metric) for continuous use. It can spray whatever you want to put in it.
My complaint about the earlier Accuspray was after a couple uses, the tip would blow off and would have to use a bunch of electrical tape to keep it on
@@skrefurbishedinteriors i did get mine. It takes a while getting used to properly snapping the cups. Once I got over that it's an awesome gun. The same clear i shot on the last three cats was so much brighter.
Hi Jonathan, you can pressure feed the gun with a pump or a pressure pot and the pressure of either should be between 7-35psi. Yes no problem at all with that sort of paint, you'd probably be looking at around a 1.4mm setup.
apologies for the misunderstanding, it can on be used with the 3M PPS 2.0 cup system. the gravity heads are available in 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.6, 1.8 and 2.0mm - www.spraydirect.co.uk/acatalog/3M-Performance-Spray-Gun-Accessories-p1.html

I’m very interested in buying this set up.
Can I use these with my Graco 9.5 FinishPro and what heads would I need for the equivalent #3 #4 #5 needle/nozzles?
How do I know what head size to use? I need it to spray household paints like Behr Premium Plus
You mentioned it can be fed with a pump , what pressure can you run this at?
Can it spray oil based enamel with the gravity feed system?

Can it spray acrylic, or modified acrylic?
Will these work with smaller compressor types what CFM do they need thanks
Can I spray acrylic(aka latex) with the 2.0?
Are these used with turbine hvlp, or a compressor set up?
This is for a compressor setup
@@SprayDirect cheers for that, what is the recommended spec compressor for this gun?
JoePro Decor , 13 cfm @ 1.24 bar
I was excited until it was stated one can only use gravity fed with 2.0m head
