Brian the lead guitarist wrote the song When Freddy was getting weaker and was barely able to stand for most of the recording he was worried that he wouldn't be able to sing it but Freddie downed a couple of shots of vodka and said I will f****** do it darling and killed it in one take
This was Freddie's Goodbye Anthem. He was dying while this last Album was being made. They all worked..fast as they could to finish and Freddie refused to stop working. His last labor of love for his Best Friends. Every clip you see in the video..was their entire career on film to honor Freddie. The World misses him.
No actually, this song was written by Brian, it was Brian coming to terms with having to go on without his friend. Freddie's goodbye song is "was it all worth it?" on the Miracle album
this song is so powerful especially when you know that the whole meaning behind this song is Freddy coming to terms with the fact that he was succumbing to his illness and was going to be gone soon and was a message to the band to keep playing when he is gone
It was Written by Brian and this is what he said about it:..... I woke up one morning with this image of butterflies in my head, and I thought I would love to hear Freddie sing: 'My soul is painted like the wings of butterflies.' I thought: this is Freddie. And he's not going to write it for himself, because he wasn't going to thrust himself forward in that way, you know? But I can write it for him. I wanted to put those words in his mouth. And it was a gift from God. I don't even know where those lyrics came from. So I presented it all to him the next time he turned up in the studio, and by that time he was suffering a lot. He could hardly stand. I played him some of the demo, with me singing, which went incredibly high and was very difficult. In the past, Freddie was always shouting at me, like, 'It's too fucking high! You're making me ruin my beautiful voice!' So he downed a couple of vodkas, neat, then propped himself up on the desk and worked his way through singing all of that song. And it was amazing. I think he did three or four takes, and he absolutely smashed that vocal. It's like he reached into a place that even he'd never got to before. I remember saying to Freddie, 'I don't want you to hurt yourself. You know, don't force yourself to do this if it's not going to feel good.' But he said, 'I'll fucking do it, Brian!' And he did. And it was beautiful. I think it's one of his finest performances of all time. It's incredible. - Brian May, 2023
It wasn't the last song he made, it's "mother love", freddie didn't even had the chance to end it because he said he'll take a rest near the end of the song, but he didn't come back 😢 Sorry for my wrong and bad grammar
This is the song i want to see reacted to aswel.. shes seen enough of queen that she can appreciate it.... im new here so if she did it sorry..if not...do it... it will be epic...
Lady. Welcome to the Queen family. I cry at your reactions, as a newer generation ambassador discovering the legends that are Freddie, Roger, Brian and John. It makes my heart swell with pride. Thank you.
This was a copulating of all there videos to there music I had great pleasure to see them live and so many other groups live and no band will ever come close to queen after a couple of cord's of one of there songs Freddie had the audience in the palm of his hands. RIP Freddie
It's so sad during this video seeing Freddie being so full of life and healthy and know when he was recording this he was dying. He was so frail they didn't think he could do it. Love you, Freddie.
An amazing song, Freddie sings the hell out of it. He was a strong person, who kept on going till the end. I suggest Who wants to live forever live at Budapest. Much bless❤
These are all snippets from earlier videos and concert footage. The expression on your face when you see them all in drag is priceless. That's from "I Want to Break Free," a delightful song.
I love this song even though it almost always makes me cry. ❤️🙏❤️ Freddy died 30 years ago and Bohemian Rhapsody is over 45 years old. It's up to you, young people, to keep Freddy and Queen's music around for the future generations to enjoy. The Show Must Go On!
When the band is in drag it was a take off of a British Soap Opera, But the song I'm going slightly mad and video is my all time fav. My brother was a DJ in Macon, GA. He brought home all the Queen albums fron the 70s and 80;s I wore them out! Drew the artwork from I'ts a kind of magic and made postcard party invites then mailed them. Saw Queen twice and Brian May all shows in Atlanta. Brian sang : Love of my Life" The band stopped and the audience sang the whole song. There was not a dry eye in the small venue. Once you heardthe pin drop ( yes all quiet), Brian announced that Freddy would kill him if he didn't play this song..... Guitars blasting the intro of " Tie Your Mother Down"! Still silence, as all were in awe then applause, screams and whistles! The whole place was jamming and dancing! From tears to cheers!!!
I've been listening to queen for over thirty years now, since a little kid, but Freddie's voice still gets me, the power and the passion, it can never be matched, a legend in life an icon in death, queen are what true talent should sound like
Freddie is the greatest male vocalist ever. Brian May is one of the greatest guitarists ever. I think between Queen and Pink Floyd, they were the total package. Throw Skynyrd in there also.
I just heard a newly released LIVE Version of The Show Must Go On!!!! I caught it on Nair Studios. PLEASE watch it. I watched it 3 times last night. Another top favorite of mine!!
Prior to knowing this was sung before his passing, I sang this song but cannot for the life of me sing it without getting choked up. His emotions were in this song and I felt it.
Bro was fighting for his life at the time, battling AIDS. Nearly skeletal and barely able to sing more than a few lines at a time and he STILL sounded like a GOD
Let's not forget this was taken shortly before his death and most importantly, he took this in one take and on the first take after downing a huge vodka glass. He never got to sing this song live... Unfortunately... R. I. P. LEGEND✊🏽
6:42 good timing with that horn 😄 But yeah, what a great song. All thw tragedy behind it. And that vibe that song has is amazing. Perfect song. Queen was like nothing else. Poor Freddy R. I. P
This was probably the best reaction to The Show must go on I've ever seen. This is my favourite Queen song, just because you can literally feels his pain in the vocals. What I personally love is the small moment at 3:12 . When the background vocals stop for a second and you're able to hear Freddies vocals with an insane vibrato and soooo clear. And all of this was sung by a dying man. #RipFreddie Edit: If you can't find it, the vibrato is at the "on" of the "The Show must go on!" #Theshowmustgoon
This is the song that he wrote to say goodbye to the world he was ill he had eids, and he just wanna say his heart is breaking but the show must go on. You should watch Bohemian Rapsody movie about the Queen actor who plays Freedy Mercury get oscar for that role. In this vide you have compilation of scenes from other videos. And fun fact why Lady Gaga call herself Lady Gaga, because of Quins song Radio Gaga. Also listen Friends will be friends, great pretender, and many more.
I believe Queen guitarist Brian May wrote The Show Must Go On for Freddie...Freddie was very I'll by then and there was concern he might not be able finish recording...he supposedly downed a glass of vodka and belted it out on one take.
Freddie had a full 4 octave range, very rare in a singer. He held back in live performances because he didn't want to hurt his voice, but in the studio he went for it giving every ounce of his powerful voice. A funny thing happened, the sicker Freddie got the more powerful his voice became. Queen's last two official albums are The Miracle and Innuendo and on both albums you can hear this raw power in Freddie's voice that wasn't there before.

Try earlier 70’s live songs first like Killer Queen on the BBC, You Take My Breath Away live in Hyde Park 1976. Then try Somebody to Love live in Montreal 1981 and also Love of My Life live in Wembley. Then of course their iconic performance on Live Aid 1986 where they blew all the other acts away and gained a huge fan base. They have so many kinds of songs you are bound to find some you already adore you just didn’t know they were from Queen!
Freddie was the definition of a true musician, he gave everything he had until he couldn't. It was a truly horrible day when I heard he died of AIDS complications. He will always be missed, always loved.
Last track on the last album released in Freddies Lifetime. And one of the last he recorded vocals for. This tears my Heart everytime. But I absolutely love this song. One of my favourites. Rip Freddie
Freddie Mercury is the greatest showman ever. I grew up listening to queen and still do to this day. One thing Freddie so well is he gives you a Mindgasm.
Mercury here was so incredible with his voice again, while trying to record it *In 1990* he was having such a HIV effects. But he didn't give up, they were pretty shocked see Freddie having this same voice as in the other albums. Song is pretty like "Don't worry, maybe i'm gone... But show must go on!"
Hi Jayy, one of my favourite Queen songs, great reaction, the song is from the 1990 album Innuendo, it's also Freddie's birthday tomorrow, he would have turned 74!! 😀😀
I know that if you hadnt listened to this before, you are freaking out. It s a kind of magic (i know it doesnt belong to the same album but you understand me) what queen makes you feel
You should react queen these are the days of our lives. This was the last video Freddie recorded before he died. This was his goodbye to us. The song ended with his final message to us. You will see how weak he looked. ua-cam.com/video/oB4K0scMysc/v-deo.html thats the link.

He went out like the Prince of the Universe he was.
Freddie ABSOLUTELY "lacerated it" (Brian's words) there is a vocal only version, that is truly heartbreaking to hear
We didn't deserve him, he was honestly a gift
