Ok I'm a Speech Pathologist - here's my two cents! so I believe the whispering works because it removes the "voicing" behind the words ( the use of your voice box-- i.e. you can't feel your throat vibrate) and a voiceless word has less inflection, making the meaning easier to infer. You can't repeat the same errors in emphasis if you're whispering. When Jenna repeats the same wrong inflection she gets confused. Removing that puts all the sounds on the same playing field.

Andrea Villegas I’m not pansexual so anyone feel free to correct me, but I believe it’s feeling attraction to someone regardless of their gender. So when you’re attracted to someone their gender identity doesn’t play a role in whether you like them or not.
