The first thing I thought of was evil eye 🧿 (which is a protection against evil forces). In one direction, it looks like an ornament, the other an eye.
Yes the evil eye would be cool, imagine the peacock eye feather Colours to!!!
@Aussie Gypsy I hadn't even thought about that. So many possibilities!
Its not protection you're misinformed🤷but do what you want tho
@@Rara-pr9wg you are wrong !! The evil eye symbol (🧿) has been found through thousands of years of history across cultures, including in Latin America and parts of Asia. The symbol, most often depicted as four concentric circles in the shape of an eye, is used to ward off variations of evil intentions.
@Rara36 depending on the color of the eye, there are many possible uses for the wearer - to clear obstacles, relaxation, good health, courage, peace, open doors, re-balance life, remove obstacles, calm over activity, protection and so much more. I'm sure there are negative uses for the evil eye, but I choose to look at the positive side of this amulet.
You are such a sweet person, and so generous with your yarn giveaways! I love listening to your tutorials, and how you encourage us that we can do them. And I have used a few patterns so I succeeded, thanks to you.
This lantern is gorgeous! It looks like a Christmas ornament. 🎄
I know. That's the first thing I thought of when I saw it too. I think it would work if done in a fingering weight or even a #3 with a smaller hook , which would make it about the right size.
It really does!
That's exactly what I thought! I plan on making some for my tree in a fine yarn to make them smaller.
I changed my colors each round so that it could look like a peacock feather. It’s so pretty! And the instructions were so clear, thank you!
I love that I’m not the only one who knots my ends together. No one has ever been able to tell…so far (I hide them well). LoL. I love your channel! ❤️
This looks amazing! Looks like a Christmas ornament ❤️
Would look beautiful done in Christmas colors.
@@laurierobertson3504 Great idea! I'm going to try it! I have size 3 thread in red and gold. 😀
@@angeltrott8437 red and gold will be beautiful.
Crystal you are so talented! I have learnt so much from you! Thank you for sharing your skill with us!
I made my first dress from a skirt tutorial from her. She's the reason I got confident making things lol
I agree! Bag-o-Day/Crystal is the clearest, most precise, patient crochet instructor I’ve found on YT 🙏🏾 there is hope for me, yet!
The shape of this motif reminds me of the eyes of a beautiful peacock feather, would make an awesome blanket. 🦚
I LOVE THIS! I have so many partial skeins of variegated yarn. This would be a great way to use them up in a blanket. The black trim makes it look like a million $$$. And, no, you were not confusing, Crystal. Thank you for another fabulous tutorial
So happy you’re showing this one, beautiful yarns❤
The Ice Rainbow yarn looks absolutely amazing in this tutorial! Thanks, Crystal, I've liked, saved, and shared!!!!!
I agree, it's a beautiful pattern. The white looks good, but to me, using black seems to make the colors really pop. Thank you for sharing the pattern and turtual.
What a neat motif! I can see a Christmas ornament throw in my future! Sparkle yarns, here I come!
❤hi Cathy here… this is one of the most beautiful crocheted pieces I’ve seen.. love the white and variegated one ❤❤❤
I’m looking for ideas to make a King size blanket. This might be IT! Thank you Crystal.
This is gorgeous!!! So many colour combos for either the lantern long ways and eyes wide ways, imagine peacock Color’s for the feathers look!! I have lots of that ice Picasso rainbow yarn it’s my fave and with the black edging it’s just stunning!! 😊 Thank you Crystal you Rock love from Down under xxxx❤❤❤
Yes, when I first saw I started imaging several different combinations. Did not think of a bag, so thanks Crystal for that one.
Have always love peacocks 🦚. Used to live within 1 1/2 miles of city zoo. We could hear them all the time plus when they came over nested in trees very near us and their babies were born. You'd hear them all of the time.
I love the peacock color idea!
Very pretty and different pattern for wall hangings or afghans. TFS
Looks like an eye when placed sideways. Looks beautiful with black & ice picasa rainbow.
Beautiful
Really like the potential for so many blankets, purses etc. Could even use 1 weight yarn & make Christmas ornament to hang in your window.
Theses remind me if the old Christmas ornaments. I love it. Thank you
I thought i was the only one to tie the ends like that lol
Thank you for the videos. I love these.
Really thought how pretty the motif would look in thread and starched as Christmas ornaments.
Hi Anna, I agree. I was thinking of trying it in thread as well. I think it would look gorgeous.
Both color combos you did are awesome but I love the black 🖤 and rainbow 🌈 more. No you weren't confusing, actually you made this motif look easy to do. As for knotting your work, I knot all of my work. I'm not going to spend time on creating something and have it come loose. But to each their own.
Hi Crystal! This rainbow Ice yarn is so beautiful. You use it a lot. It just makes anything gorgeous! This lantern motif is beautiful too! Thanks, Crystal! 💓
My favorite part of these videos is crystal seems to always use stitches we’ve all done on many projects do it’s more a step up each pattern when she dose use a new stitch it’s shown very clearly each step up in my work slowly learning so much more than the last project and it’s used enough times it becomes do natural
That rainbow yarn with the black border is stunning!
Thank you.
Blessings
Love these rainbow squares and ovals, thank you Crystal!!!
That’s beautiful ❤ thank you for sharing your time to teach us this pattern 💐
That is so pretty. I think I would sew two together stuff them and make a garland for the tree or mantle.
I LOVE THIS!!! I can’t wait to get it on my hook!! Thank you Crystal 😍
I'm a 50s kid and remember these vintage Christmas ornaments on our tree. Just had a nostalgic memory, thank you for sharing your gift.
Oh how I love Picasso yarn. These motifs are absolutely gorgeous!
Hello. Today was the first time I watched a video explaining the Grany squares method. I'm very green, but I want to learn. My mother used to crochet wonderfully and today she can't. I really regret not having learned from her, but I was a teenager 🙄 at the time.❤ I saw many videos on this subject, but only today, I managed to understand. You are a good teacher. I think I will continue to learn from you.
May God bless you.❤❤
This reminds me of the vintage glass Christmas ornaments.
You are not confusing at all my love , Thank you 🙏 so much!
OMG Crystal!!! Years ago I was in a bookstore flipping through crochet afghan books and I saw a pattern similar to this but I couldn't afford the book. I stared and stared at the pattern and tried to "eyeball" what stitches were used. When I got home I tried to recreate it and I just couldn't get it to look right (or sew together right) so I kind of forgot about it. Until NOW. I could just hug you right now!! Not only have you shown me how to make this pattern.... I NOW have decided what I'm going to use my mini skeins on. A couple years ago I got an Advent Box as an "early" Christmas pressie and every day was filled with a "butterfly themed" mini skein. I've never been able to decide what I wanted to make with them... NOW I KNOW! I'm so excited to do this. Thank you so much!! 💜💜💜
How pretty! I really like the ones trimmed in black. It sure makes the colors pop. The rainbow yarn is gorgeous, such a pretty sheen. Thanks for another great tutorial, Crystal.
Oh the color is favorite stripe.😊
That is absolutely gorgeous. It just keeps getting better and better. And right around time for Christmas. Thank you I love it.
This motif is gorgeous!!!
So pretty!
There are so many possibilities. I love the contrast of the rainbow and solids!

Love this pattern. It definitely looks like an old fashioned Christmas ornament ! ✌️❣️🧶🎄
Three cheers for the knotters knot following the no knot rule! I've been knotting my colors changes for years too! 🧶🧶🧶
Oh so many ideas with this motif. Thank you Crystal.
I like to listen to your tutorials while I crochet. Then, when I revisit the video I am versed on it and learn faster. Your videos are wonderful and also good company.
Love this. So funny to see someone else who ties there ends.
LOVE the shape and pastel colors against a black background...
I’ve never seen this motif before, it’s gorgeous! Plans, plans, plans!
The ICE rainbow with the black is absolutely Stunning! Also, the tutorial was very clearly presented. Thank you. I can't wait to try this.
OMG Crystal, those are just beautiful!! I love the black because it really makes it pop out that rainbow color! Just Love it!! When I get time that will be my next project. Thank you for all you do to teach us!
I love this motif. I think a tall column - 2 wide - would be a gorgeous scarf. Almost a stepping stone look.
I am me a granny square African out of all of my scrap yard and I’m still going it’s as big as a king size bed now I think I will finish it off and start a different one maybe like this so I think this is beautiful
So many possibility for this patter. Ornaments, garland, drink coasters, etc. Thank you for sharing this Christal. It’s lovely❤️✌🏻🇺🇸
Love the rainbow yarn. It is beautiful
This is beautiful. I love the black with it.
Beautiful! I especially like the black which makes the colors pop more.
Beautiful!, Thank you Crystal!, That would make an awesome afghan out of scrap yarn!, It would be pretty in red &green to hang like Christmas ornaments!

A blanket with that Mystical Lantern Motif will be gorgeous and soooooo pretty. Thank you for the tutorial, Crystal ♥
These are very pretty. I like it with the ridge. I would like to keep going and just make one great big lantern.
Wow! These are so beautiful. They remind me of stained glass windows. I've never seen nor heard of this yarn. I will certainly be on the look out for this yarn now. Such a unique look for a scarf. Crystal, I learn so much from you. Thank you so much.
I saw the thumbnail and my first thought was Mom loves that motif, I'd better learn it! Who knew it would be so easy to do? Thank you so much for sharing.
Well, I'm adding this to my long "to crochet" list! These look beautiful and that's an excellent idea for use of scrap yarn. That's what I'm planning on using.
Thank you Crystal. 🙂
Wow the lantern is very affective, another project on my list !
WOW! Love this - just WOW!
I saw this made into a Christmas blanket years ago. I tried finding the pattern, couldn't, and forgot about it. Now I can make the Christmas blanket. These remind me of ornaments. Thank you Crystal!! ❤
Oh how I wish I could get that stunning coloured yarn in the country I've relocated to. It's definitely like the "Turkish Eye".
Reminds me of a peacock fan, the vibrant multi colors and the black accents make it pop , can't wait to try this, appreciate the yarn size, up close shots and slow moves to assure a good visual
I've been looking for a simple pattern to make for Christmas gifts. This is so pretty. Thank you!
This is absolutely gorgeous!!
🙂🦋 Sehr schön. Cool 😎 LG Sylvia
Beautiful motifs, they would look gorgeous in peacock colours 💖 Thanks Crystal 👍
TFS Crystal. So beautiful. The ridge definitely makes it more interesting.
I love this gorgeous motif! Another idea is to make some singles using lighter weight yarn and a smaller hook, back each with a coordinating piece of felt, and use them as tree ornaments.
Both are gorgeous
I could so see this as a handkerchief hem line sweater ! 😁
That's beautiful. The white one reminds me of those 1950's/60's Christmas ornaments.
Ever beautiful colours WOWWW
Thank you Crystal for so many beautiful patterns. I've decided to make each of my grandchildren and great grandchildren a blanket for next Christmas and I'm going to use this beautiful pattern for some of them.
Gorgeous! I love the black trim colorway the best! Thank you for the tutorial!
I may try this . I have not crocheted in 50 years, just got back to knitting…this is beautiful.
Absolutely beautiful I think this pattern would make adorable ornaments
these colors are popping!
I really like this motif! Reminds me of a peacock feather! Gorgeous!!!
So pretty! Love this motif!
I like the lip a lot! It does add so much to it. These are really cool and give me a psychedelic vibe actually! That's why I'm making it! It looks like a cool eye! Thank you for the tutorial.
So pretty… thank you Crystal 🧶😊
I love, love, LOVE, that variegated color yarn! Totally fab-o!
My son was looking at this exact pattern, but I had issue understanding the other videos. You again seem to read my mind. Much respect and Ty for the great instruction. 😎
Wow, I really like those, they are amazing, especially with the black edging.
