@@thepickledpixie9052 you can do this in France but we don’t have that amount of yarn in it. Just yarn for amigurumi -skein of 25g- or some low grade acrylic. Our Walmart always have the same colors, yarn brand & yes the same price. No granny square yarn though & it doesn’t seem like they’re going to get it. But I can’t help myself to go look in the section😂
I have the granny square yarn. I have used it for corner to corner for a 16" pillow. Turned out wonderful. I also make sold granny squares with it. Almost works out! I just love the colors. All the colors.
The yarn section in my local Walmart is very pitiful. It's not even half the length of that and it's barely stocked. And I never knew the pioneer woman put out a yarn line. I don't think it ever made it to my local Walmart.

Our Walmarts are worse. Yep, I grabbed a bunch of PW's yarn for $3. I hadn't been to Walmart in a while but was checking to see if they had the Itty Bitty Stripes.
Excited to see how the bags will turn out. Cant get the RH granny yarn for anything less than AUD$25 per ball here in Australia... luckily though some mill ends of this yarn came through in discount bags. Managed to grab 8 bags for AUD$44... woohoo, lol. Like you am not using to make granny squares.
Oh wow, I did this too with the mill ends bags! At first I wasn't realising that these random colours I was being drawn to were actually the same colours as the all in one granny yarn but then as I saw more and more pop up and then started to see what those colours of the yarn balls were I realised they were the same and it couldn't be a coincidence either, marvelous!! Which colour blends did you get? I'd love to get the one that was green/blue/white/cream but haven't seen a replica of that one yet, still searching. :)
@@ByHookorbyNeedles Absolutely! The cheapest I've seen the mill ends packs for is $6 each, so that's a much cheaper way to get it and a bigger quantity too! I got several of the brown/tan/cream colour blend, one pack of that with the blue added in and then two of the newspaper colours, so lovely! I haven't seen as many around lately so am grateful to have been able to get the ones that I did, but hope they have some of the others soon! I don't like the brighter/gawdier ones as much but at least they seem to have a good amount to choose from, when they're well stocked!
I love the flower material liner for the pretty pink colored granny square yarn. For some reason I love patterns like that matched together. I can’t wait to see the bags you make with the yarns. I’ve never made a bag.
I like your color choices and combos for your bags. You don’t suck at it. I wish for you that all the adoration our community has for you would lift up your confidence. I think you are pretty great.
that bold variegated. red/blue/green/orange and so forth..I got a bag of that in a mill ends bag down here in Australia a few years back..I finally made use of it..I made an open hat (that can also be worn as a cowl) matching fingerless mitts and leg warmers..I wore them to the Alice Springs beanie festival last June..they went nicely with a tunic top that was tie dyed in similar colours..Alice Springs is the Red center of the Northern Territory..
I like the color combinations you got. I think the red would be a great pop with the granny square and I love the lily pad with navy. Looking forward to seeing it used in something other than granny squares. Thanks for taking us shopping with you! 😊
I think you are about to have a blast exploring the different ideas you have! I am excited to try crocheting the awesome results! Happy Creating everyone!❤
After the first few skeins, I became obsessed with granny square yarn & now have every color. Not for squares, but for making scarves and hats with different patterns. The ones I've liked the most are regular and moss stitch C2C. Really makes some interesting layouts! My Walmarts suck, too.
My Walmart in Canada really sucks. Rarely stocked, rarely any sales. But I did buy enough red and white yarn to make your matrix blanket in these colors. I have never tried mosaic crocheting. So far I made the first 16 rows and it looks great. Thanks for being such a great teacher . You said I could do it and so I am.
Hi Crystal!! Hello Everyone! I too bought the Granny All in One yarn. I am missing a couple colors. I had no plans to make any granny squares LOL! I I love granny squares. I have made several of Juan's Backgammon scarf with a matching beanie. I saw a lady in one of my crochet groups use it to make a simple double crochet afghan. Made a beautiful abstract design. So I copied her and I am making 3 of them. Only I am doing double crochet back loop only for a little texture. One is with Citrus Twist, one with Black Dove and Shadow - I'm alternating the skeins, when one run out I add the next. The 3rd one is Black Moody Cherry. I love the colors!! I love the choices you purchased for your liners!! Have a great evening!!
Thanks Crystal for taking us along to your Walmart. I like see what you bought all the beautiful colors of yarn. Crystal I can hardly wait to see what you make with all the beautiful colors of yarn and material. Have a great day and happy crocheting.♥️
I love that you're putting the granny square yarn to a different use!! The lily pad and blue is going to make a beautiful top! And the red with the wheat.....I think its gonna make it pop!! The bright,,orange, hot pink, white.. it will be so cute, but woul also make a cute tank top for Evelyn!! Can't wait to see what you do!! Love it!!❤
I’m not a granny square person so I would do the same as you, make a blanket or a bag with it. I like your idea for using all 3 of the colors for your blanket. I look forward to seeing how your projects turn out. 🧶💜🙏🏻
I have 3 Walmart stores within 15 minutes from me. All of there yarn departments are bad. None of them have ever carried the Pioneer Woman yarn. I have seen a beanie made with the granny square yarn. Wasn't bad. Always fun going on shopping trips with you.
I like the burgundy and the blue. I wish we had a store or stores in South Africa that carries more yarns. Oure stores only have a tiny section that covers yarn. We have to go to specialist stores and they are all very expensive. I love your ideas ❤
I'm very excited to see how these projects work out. Go with the burgundy. It will work. You could always add one row of the cream around the edge, then finish with rows of the burgundy. Also, you could do a couple of stripes of the cream and burgundy in the blanket to break up the granny square yarn. Whatever you decide on, it will be lovely. The lining fabrics are perfect. Your Walmart, while not great, is much better than the two near me (East Scarborough and Pickering, Ontario). Their yarn aisles are dismal. I can't even get Red Heart Ombre anywhere. They don't carry it any more. Thank you for a very fun video.
I like the thought of incorporating all three…the red, the white and the multicolored in one blanket…I like when the solid is also included in the body and not just in the border…can’t wait to see what you come up with…👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I was literally searching on UA-cam for crochet bag tutorials and then I went to watch your video today as I got a notification and I'm so happy that you're going to be doing some bags!!! Can't wait!! 😁😁

I have been loving mixing all kinds of crazy striped, variegated, ombre and flecked yarn into scrap granny square blankets. It’s fun when your aesthetic changes and you get to explore things you never paid attention to before. ❤
Your Walmart has twice the yard mine does and half of they shelves are always empty. I have to drive into Austin to a Michaels or Joann's to get yarn. I hate driving in Austin.
I love all the liners you picked to go with the different colours of yarn. The one with the little birds and flowers looks so cute. Can't wait to see what you make with each of the different colours!!
😊😊 those bucket hats are going to be SO cute, you did a good job picking the lining fabrics to go with them, especially the black n white one… You really inspire, motivate me, I’ve been going through a deep depression and you are helping me getting through it ❤❤❤❤
I stopped in my Walmart in the notions aisle last night and they had clearanced a bunch of items. I needed darning needles. Got a pack for $1! I also grabbed a few other variations of needle packs for a buck or fifty cents, and I grabbed a 120ft tape measurer for a dollar. 👍💙🧡💛
I so love that you are going "out of your box" with these yarns and projects! I'm also excited to see the items you make and to go stash busting in my yarn closet to make them too. Go Crystal! Ready for summer crocheting!!!!! Oh for the blanket, I would do the creamy color for border , then the reddish one for outer border!
I bought a skein of the Red Heart Granny Square Citrus Twist colored yarn and I crocheted 2 items. The first thing I made was a crocheted Octopus and then I used the rest of the skein to make a shawl. Both projects came out beautiful!!
Girl, my Walmart sucks in the yarn department, too! It’s so sad… I loved shopping with Crystal to see that you deal with the same things we do. Thank you for taking us shopping! 🌹❤️
My Walmart is the same way. I'm happy to know I'm not the only one that doesn't get the granny square yarn to work out. Also, like you tell us... you can do it (amigurumi). I've been doing it for the last 7 months. At first, it was a little confusing but it's rewarding when you're done.
Hi Crystal, you have such great ideas and I love the color way you choose and Rose picks too and the colors do go together enough to pass, I missed your live but wanted to congratulate you on your million, you absolutely deserve it all 🙂😊thank you for all of your tutorials you teach so well
My Walmart near my house, doesn't have much yarn either. I bought some yarn in the beginning of January 2024 when they had a big clearance. Some for blankets. Some for your B&W Houndstooth and red for ruffle border. Some for stash. And a few Bernat Blanket to make slippers. I'd think the Granny Square yarn would have stripes that keep getting longer. I think it would be good for things NOT granny squares. I like their colors. Good yarn haul!!! TFS! Austin TX USA
No one “ review-shops” like you Crystal!!. I am so so happy to come along for the ride. Just like old times. ❤❤❤😊

I don't like the brighter/gawdier ones as much but at least they seem to have a good amount to choose from, when they're well stocked!
Love the liners you chose for the bags!
Thank you for taking us shopping with you at Walmart
I love your daughter’s choice and would love to see a tutorial on the bag making and lining. Thank you for all the great tutorials.
I agree with you about the granny square yarn. I can't get it to match up either. But it's in pretty colors and I grabbed some to make blankets.
Thanks Crystal for taking us along to your Walmart. I like see what you bought all the beautiful colors of yarn. Crystal I can hardly wait to see what you make with all the beautiful colors of yarn and material. Have a great day and happy crocheting.♥️
I'm excited to see the bags you make. What a great idea!
I like the lining choices for your bags. Anxious to see what you do with the short stripes too.
Yes, the burgundy is complementary because of all the warm tones. You picked good! Hugs
I have 3 Walmart stores within 15 minutes from me. All of there yarn departments are bad. None of them have ever carried the Pioneer Woman yarn. I have seen a beanie made with the granny square yarn. Wasn't bad.
Always fun going on shopping trips with you.
Im the same way 3 walmart each one yarn dept much shorter . The bog name stores are too far away for me.
I LOVE the flower and bird fabric with yarn. It's a beautiful combination.
I think all your combinations are beautiful!
I love the liners with the yarn. You do not "suck" at matching. Good ideas by the handful in this video. Thanks
Crystal? I wish I could have your creative mind! You do have a way of making things work together. Please show us your projects when your finish 🙏🏻
I really like the lining fabric you found. I never can find ones I like. After seeing the yarns you have given me inspiration. Thank you.
And if you don't like the new ones, she has over 200 bag tutorials on her channel! Just search for "bag-o-day crochet bags," and you'll get to the playlist.
@karylmonaco8174 Yes! I've made quite a few of Crystal's bags already, love them!
I have been loving mixing all kinds of crazy striped, variegated, ombre and flecked yarn into scrap granny square blankets. It’s fun when your aesthetic changes and you get to explore things you never paid attention to before. ❤
I bought a few of the granny square yarns. I really like them made into hats.
Oooh good idea!!
Your Walmart has twice the yard mine does and half of they shelves are always empty. I have to drive into Austin to a Michaels or Joann's to get yarn. I hate driving in Austin.
I think that burgundy color for the border will be perfect!! Thanks for all you do, Crystal!
I like all the colors you picked. And the fabric was a nice addition. I hope you show us the finished bags.
I love all the liners you picked to go with the different colours of yarn. The one with the little birds and flowers looks so cute. Can't wait to see what you make with each of the different colours!!
😊😊 those bucket hats are going to be SO cute, you did a good job picking the lining fabrics to go with them, especially the black n white one…
You really inspire, motivate me, I’ve been going through a deep depression and you are helping me getting through it ❤❤❤❤
I think that you did a great job picking out the liners for the bags. Spot on!
I can’t wait to see the the black and white pattern. All your ideas sound neat! Be safe ❤️
Glad you're doing a project with granny yarn so I can see how it works up. Tried granny square and had to play yarn chicken with every row
I bought a skein of the Red Heart Granny Square Citrus Twist colored yarn and I crocheted 2 items. The first thing I made was a crocheted Octopus and then I used the rest of the skein to make a shawl. Both projects came out beautiful!!
Crystal I think you did well at matching fabric for the inside of the bags you planning to make💕
Girl, my Walmart sucks in the yarn department, too! It’s so sad… I loved shopping with Crystal to see that you deal with the same things we do. Thank you for taking us shopping! 🌹❤️
The lining materials you chose works great with both of the bags. Can't wait to see how they look together.
I think the fabrics and yarns you chose complement each other well. I will be very interested to see your makes.
TFS!
