@@hoodrat1ful try cutting both ends of the cable with bigs snips. Remove all the.screws of the regulator. Make sure you support the glass as it might just fall.
I don’t know if anyone mentions the situation as you described that the motor is dead and window is in high position and those two screws can not be seen. Actually, that is my situation and I spent some time in analyzing the situation and realize That you can reach those two screws by going inside the window , it is very narrow but I managed to unscrew them, just a little patient using flat head wrench 10mm size, good luck
Does step five refer to connecting the new part temporarily to power the window down? Then you would disconnect power, install the regulator correctly and reconnect the power? I’ve never done this, it’s what I’m guessing. I know Honda told me today it would between $400-$500 to have them replace the regulator. Wth? The part seems to average $50 or so online, which means there’s a chance they pay even less. I realize they’re a business making money, but $450 profit/labor for replacing a window regulator? Sounds suspicious to me. This video was incredibly helpful. Thank you sir!
They make a fortune off of simple repairs from people who know no better, that is what I am here on UA-cam for, because I got tired of seeing people ripped off.
Yeah, it's stupid. Like $300 for labour. They claim it takes 3 hours to fix this. I was learning how to fix it and it took me 6 hours, and they are the professionals. If I did this again I'd probably take 4 hours. So UA-cam is the best! Honda quoted me $100 for the labour to replace my skid plate. It's just popping on clips. I'm glad I like learning about cars. Saves me money and time.
Hopefully you reply soon. But my Honda makes noise when I try to lower the window.. and when I lock the car the window makes a weird noise. So I’m wondering if I gotta replace that whole part..? I’m thinking maybe it fell off the tracks? Then again I’m not an expert!
Not sure if you still check this...but my window is stuck in the down position ...im not sure whats wrong with it...a few weeks ago it was stuck in the up (closed) position...when I was trying to fix that..I noticed that mine was unplugged as well!! Thats so crazy!!! So I plugged it up and could work the window with the key remote..only...but now its stuck down...and I dont know what to do...
So if the window goes up and down with the key remote, the window motor has power and is working. If it will not work when using the door switch, the door switch unit itself is bad and needs replaced.
If the motor is seized or damaged. You can cut the cable so that you can lower the glass and get to the screws to release the glass.

If you have a thin wrench it can go in between the metal if no power is available

That extra bar is to secure the screw in the door handle that you pull to close the door.. gotta be sturdy

Do you think the Accord coupe would be the same process with removing and replacing ?
I cannot tell you 100%, but I believe it should be the same process.
Not thinking it’s the same. Working on coupe now and interior of door is different.

You have an issue with the window tracks sounds like, best to pull the door panel off and have a look
