Those were such good sleds back in the day. I ran an srx700 for 3-4 years back in the mid 2000s. Made alot of guys on newer rider forward sleds angry in the trails when they couldnt keep up.
My friends dad had a 97 mountain max with that engine. He ran NOS through it. 30 horse shot. We all ran skidoo xp , cat 800s and he kept up with us. Tough old guy. I ran it a few times and it was a tank lol. That old triple had a sweet sound.
Was always scared of those things and i rode home made go carts made with pedal bike trailer tires forks nd bars from a bike they fit perfectly in the front end of a gt snow racer if anyone remembers those and the engine was underwater the set. It was so high up and sketchy but those man got me a couple times with shit under the snow going over 100 lol
Nothing like a " Greasy Tripple " ! Commented a few times inquiring about a CR250R rebuild & if you're interested , cash in hand as well as New internals ....Cyl , piston , rod , bearings etc.....
@JpJp-zd7vu I didn’t happen to see your other comments I guess. I could do the rebuild for you. My email is r.ovitt@outlook.com if you’d like to discuss more.
I really love Yamaha snowmobiles, especially the Vrnture 600 from around 1997, Rs viking professional, Rs Venture, snoscoot 200, i want one of those ... I think they are the most reliable snowmobiles ! Help me Lord, Can anyone on Earth save japanese snowmobiles ? Please help, i live in deny and anxiety since June 30 2023, I nearly died, If I am still alive today it's thanks to my strong power of dreaming, behind the unknown star, there is a real person, and a real person, full of anxieties and fear of future, Love from France, (Japan, Germany and USA), Live you passion !
I have a lot of snowmobiles that I can’t ride because all the snow melted 2 months ago this is a really bad year last year I had 5 feet I’m in Wisconsin
Man I wouldn't be ripping on a sled with a track in that condition. Realize that if it flies off you have no brakes, whatever momentum you have will continue to roll some
@@rockspowersports Thank you for the reply...the reason i asked is that I had a hell of a time getting the single jug over the 2 pistons on my Polaris classic when I did the top end... I told myself i would not go thru that again.
You are brave ripping it with the track about to fall apart 😂
When Yamaha was Yamaha :) those where fun machines
I love Yamaha

Appreciate that! I sure had fun blasting around on the old Yamaha.
You should pick up a Yamaha SRX. They're fun. I own a redhead and two blue heads. As well as an MXZ 700 and an F7 sno pro 😁😎🍻
I’m sure I’ll have one at some point. Always looking for deals!

I really enjoyed the intro man. The videos are great. Dont stop. Now that motor would be sick in a atv frame.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! And that would be pretty sick in an Atv..
Kicking myself for never looking at Yamaha sleds back in the day. Ended up buying a Polaris. Should of gotten a Yamaha

That sucks man, our season was cut short as well but sounds like yours was worse. Hopefully next years better!

The belt is all broken in now haha.
Either clutch or drive bearing
Are the jugs 1 unit or 3 single ones....thanks...
@pyralux01 The head is 1 piece but each cylinder is individual, which is nice in case 1 goes down.
