I have made this recipe for years only I didn't like crushing the pretzels because they polvarized or putting the cool whip/cream cheese spread on top of them because they would stick to the topping. No fun working with pretzels until I tried your recipe. I was amazed at how easy it was to put it together because you gave me some great new tips. 1) Mixing the melted butter and sugar mix with the crushed pretzels in the pan rather than pouring into a cooking glass dish and then mixing it in. 2) Using a scooper to distribute the Cool Whip mix all over the glass baking dish and then spreading it. Omg! What a breeze! No messy pretzels sticking to it. 3) Making your jello mix first so that it gives it time to cool and thicken a little before putting in the strawberries and then adding it over your Cool Whip/cream cheese topping. Although my pretzels still polvarized on the bottom side when I crushed them on top, I can live with that. Overall, these tips made it enjoyable to make! Thank you, Natasha! I always enjoy making your recipes!
I made this for a church picnic a couple of years ago and it was gone in a blink of an eye. Then we started cleaning everything up and I started looking for my 9x13 glass dish, couldn't find it any where, finally this little ole lady came walking up with the dish. She had been sitting behind the building licking the glass. Said that that was the best dessert she had ever had. I gave her the recipe!
My Grandmother made this for years and it was always good, with any kind of berry, cherries, or other fruit. If you want to make it for Easter, Christmas or other holiday, use a bit of food coloring to the cream cheese mixture. Then you can have a green/red dessert for Christmas, a pastel for Easter, etc. One of my favorites is to use fresh sliced peaches in a matching Jell-O mix. The crust is also good if you add in a bit of chopped toasted nuts. Just some thoughts.
We made this for a church potluck, and it's tasty for a summer time treat. There are different variations you can do with it, like raspberry jello with raspberries, orange jello with mandarin oranges, and peach jello with sliced peaches. For Thanksgiving one year, we made it with cranberry jello and cranberries.
My friend makes this every Christmas and I love it. I can’t wait to make it. I like that you simply crush the pretzels and not pulverize them, and using fresh strawberries is the best. Thanks 😊
I like how the video flowed at a great pace..no lag and you told how much of each ingredient one would need..great job. I have been wanting to try this dessert and now I will
I’ve perfected this recipe thanks to Natasha. You’re a great teacher, Natasha! I leave out the jello, thinly slice the strawberries and cover the cream cheese mixture like you typically would, but now you’re gonna top it with another layer of pretzel crisp the same way you made the bottom layer. I’m just not a big fan of the jello. I believe the better flavor and taste is without the jello but with more buttery sugary salty pretzel.
Omg I just made this and it turned out perfect! Yall don't understand...I normally cannot cook, but thanks to my new favorite channel, I am starting to try new things. Thank you Natasha!
This is also wonderful with blueberries cooked with sugar and a little lemon juice and vanilla, thickened with cornstarch. Let cool, and use just like the strawberries. I'm making it right now, for a Birthday celebration at the request of my Brother-in-law. We love them both.
Hi Natasha. I have been making this recipe for years. In fact I’m famous for it with my family. The only thing I do different is I beat heavy whipping cream instead using cool whip. I don’t add extra sugar to the crust. It is such a refreshing recipe. I just made it last weekend. Thank you for all your recipes. You are awesome!!!!!!!
My mom has made this for years with raspberries and raspberry Jell-O. We just made this recipe with the strawberries. It's cooling in the fridge, but there's hardly any Jell-O on top. I have a feeling it is very important to get the cream cheese mixture all the way to the sides. Like you said, "Create a seal" We'll find out later, but I bet a lot of the Jell-O seeped down into the pretzels. Thanks for yet another AWESOME recipe!
I love this recipe . I make this strawberry-pretzel salad for every holiday . it's awesome dessert for christmas. my family and friends enjoy it. it's one of my favorite desserts. it's easy to make and it's not expensive at all to make.
I just made this recipe for the third time , but this time did orange jello , with fresh segmented oranges . (My husband's favorite fruit is oranges ) . Dream cycle come true !
Great recipe...love your presentation. Well organized, completely understandable, easy and I love how you cut to the chase, without too much talking. You need to be on a cooking channel!
Delicious! This would be great for the 4th of July by Folding Fresh Blue Berriesi in the Cream Cheese Mixture. Fresh Berries is the Key but have used Frozen when out of Season.
Yummy is Right! I made this same recipe cutting the calories, so I used 1/3 Less Fat Cream Cheese, Sugar Free Jell-O, Stevia for sugar, and Lite Cool Whip. I followed step by step instructions and the dish is..............Absolutely Amazing! It's Full of Flavor in every Bite!
I add a half a cup of finely chopped pecans to the crust. But, I'm excited to see this version because I have friends who have nut alergies and was afraid of making this without the nuts as I didn't now how it would taste. And now, I know that I can make this for them and eliminate the nuts and it will still be delicious. :-) Plus, I have never made this with fresh strawberries. I've always used the frozen ones, and now I'm excited to try this with fresh. Thank you.
Thanks again this is definitely the recipe I'm going for in was the absolute best recipe watching this made sound colors kitchen music Host everything was top notch love it
Several yrs ago, a friend gifted me a Strawberry Pretzel Salad . I was impressed. Then I decided to follow your recipe. Oh my gosh, it was perfect not to mention all the compliments. Thank you. Now I've looked hi and low and haven't found an eggplant recipe on your channel. Help!

My mom makes this salad every once in a while. She uses a 15 ounce can of drained crushed pineapple in juice plus a package of lemon jello. Delicious!
My mom asked me to bring a strawberry dessert to Easter dinner this year. I came across your video, and this is what I'll be bringing! Thank you! 😊
Wonderful! I hope you love it!
