There's my big beautiful princess. She's the one ship in the galaxy that deserves a heavenly chorus every time she makes an entrance. Yeah, she's got an enormous price tag, but her shields, her speed, her cargo and her beauty more than make up for it. When the holidays come around, I'm buying silver and gold paint for her.
The look on my face when I ground for 8 hours solid from Squire to Duke, bought the ship, A-rated it then slowly increased speed to the first thruster boost...
If you're like me, you smashed it to pieces across the back of the station the first time you flew it because you didn't realize it turns, and stops, like a freight train. I've learned no matter how early I started my powerslide to the mail slot, it wasn't early enough, lol
Yeah, Saud Kruger is really missing a trick on this one. I'm way out on the galactic rim, and I have to go get my own coffee from the first class restaurant! The cheek of it all!
Love the vid! The Cutter is the ULTIMATE Combat Cargo Ship. It makes me smile loading up 600 units of cargo and shwacking anyone trying to pirate me, lol
I've also done this, with full but slightly lightweight armament set up just in case. Its both a curse and blessing for exploration as it isn't so heavily mass effected in jump range so can carry lots of SRV's and SLF's to have fun with when you find good planets, but it can't ever match the range of normal exploration ships. Oh and of course the huge amount of fuel it can carry and stupidly large scoop if you want to mean you can get a heap of systems under your belt exploration wise without much worry on the fuel and then fill up pretty promptly.. (I did once take it out with only a S2 scoop though - not going to suggest you should. But its not like I need to care much about having the game running in the background for an hour)
The Cutter is my main deep space exploration ship. Loaded with SRVs, a Guardian Fighter because well the best ship needs the latest tech of course. Four tons of cargo space for the repair limpets cause accidents happen and hulls won't fix themselves. Redundant AFMUs and the biggest, most expensive fuel scoop credits can buy. Itty bitty power plant. LOL The thing can't boost at all, but out in the void you don't really need to boost. Thing has a 50 ly jump. Keep exploring in style Commander.
Not mining, not combat. Piracy. This ship is a pirates dream, it's a tank that can catch any trader, blow anything up on demand and have enough storage to fit the entire ship you just pulled out.
Your videos are not just a bunch of information, you tell the story of a thing and you tell it well to the point where you answer questions I didn’t even know I had it’s informative it’s Insightful unpredictable it’s freaking awesome and I love your work.
On one of my very first voyages in ED I nearly crashed my Sidewinder against the station's hull as I saw one of these beauties come through the mailslot and I imediatly fell in love with it! I bought my cutter (a looooong time later) not because I finally had the money and imperial status or because I needed it or because I had anything special in mind to do with it - but simply because I WANTED it for what it is: The (imo) most beautifull ship in the galaxy!
You can't convince me that Gutamaya didn't arise from the ashes of Alfa Romeo. They make exceptionally beautiful, poetry in motion level vehicles that despite having their downsides and being outperformed by other, more dedicated machines, are such a joy to fly and look at that you can't help but love them.
I applaud you sir, you’ve made me fall in love with a ship I didn’t think I liked. I sorta wanna take all the best qualities of the top 3 ships and mash them into one beautiful ship with a gutamaya styling
Almost everything I throw at the cutter, it does well. Combat, well, it's a bit sluggish for that. But it can haul 600t of cargo and still boost to 500, and get 40ly jumps. I've mined in it for hours on end and it works really well for that. I even landed on Charon once and SRV'd to the crashed anaconda. I've never been interdicted in it, they try all the time, but it's just nimble enough to always make it. Pirates are no problem either. I can tank a LOT of hits while boosting away and high wake without damage every time. I think its the only ship I own that I haven't seen a rebuy screen in. Not my favorite ship ( the clipper is my fave ) but it's close, and worth every penny, and the gawd awful rank grind.
I have 4 cutters engineered out... I have 1 for hunting... & it rips the crap outa anything I have came across, I have 1 for trading, 1 for S&R, 1 & 1 for mining... I also have 4 corvettes all engineered for combat...I have every ship I’ve owned since the early Kickstarter days... even my 1st sidewinder & cobra mrk 3 & 4. Love this sim.... 07’s Cmdrs
@@UFOSasquatch The clipper role for me is "Funnest". But I feel your pain. I love the speed and the way it flies. but its not armored very well, nor is is well armed. It can't hold a lot of cargo either. I have one kitted out for bubble bus and light combat, and another kitted out for, believe it or not, exploring. In the exploration role, it doesn't have a huge jump range, but it's good enough for the neutron star fields I hang out in. Plus I do a lot of near bubble exploration, looking for mining locations, and it's good in that role. It was worth the rank grind to be able to pilot a clipper, it's that fun to fly, but I haven't found anything it does very well, other than being fast and stylish.
I came from his X4Raptor review. I stayed for his Cutter review. Poetry. This entire channel’s content is way classier than it has any right to be. And I love it.
I love this huge ship. As far as I am concerned it has one huge design flaw: The bridge of a ship of this length should have been where the bulge on its back sits in the middle of the hull. This would have made the ship look less like a common airplane, and given it a much more interesting look.
My partner and I took our Cutters to Colonia and back last year. It might not have been the quickest or most efficient journey ever, but sometimes you gotta do things in style.
It's my favorite ship to date. I have flown it for hundreds of hours, and literally the turn is slow but I have 2, just so I don't have to switch modules between mining, and combat/hauling.
sorry for the Necro, but yeah Imperial line definiately needs a medium ship. Maybe cross between Krait Phantom and Python. (also, we need a medium ship to fit inbetween the Dolphin and Orca too. Why doesn't the empire like "medium"? lol)
I love my cutter, it's my primary ship and also the first ship i truly wanted ever since it was added to the game. Currently set up at 41ly with guns, fuel scoop, cargo hold, fighter, srvs, all the combat bells and whistles. Took a while and lots of credits, but now it's truly a mobile home. Can jump most places, can defend itself well and can haul plenty even then. The only thing I'd sell it for is a majestic class capital ship.
Love the feel of this ship. Giant, luxurious, monstrous engines and shields. There’re specialized vessels that outclass various aspects of the Cutter everywhere, but none hit different when you are at this Gutamaya helm.
So close to getting mine. I'm getting it for the exact reason you said.....because I CAN. I'm a trader/explorer so she will not be a combat ship. She will hanger next to my explorer go-to Anaconda and my Type 9 heavy cargo hauler/miner
So. I binge watched all your videos, amazing quality that really do show the beauty in this game like never before. Subbed after just 3 videos as I now attempt to get back into this game I haven't touched since 2017. Keep up the good work mate amazing narration and the good odd joke is a recipe for success.
Your Type 10 video caught my interest... Your Corvette video inspired me... Now I am here to watch your video on one of the most beautiful ships in this game. I just picked up the Clipper after a week of floundering/ grinding.... 1 week, 40 hours deep. This game has my heart.
Looks and cargo space aside, the Cutter gives me something above all others: peace of mind. Being able to leave an area whenever you wish is invaluable.
"Turns like a city block" Well at least it's not as bad as a Type-9 Heavy. If the cutter feels like your flying a city block, then the T9 is like flying the whole damn city. Lol
Great video. I do love my Cutters. For you see, you put it well when you said bold of them to assume it's the same Cutter. I have one Cutter for mining. One Cutter for cargo/combat. Then lastly one Cutter for deep exploration...and yes it has a jump range of 50 lys after a LOT of engineering. To be fair the Corvette is in dry dock as we speak being prepped though. lol
The Cutter is King, a great video review, Sub'd! While bargain hunting in my Cutter and Carrier last night, I basically emptied a station of 10,000t of Bertandite, Gallite, and indite all for 1, 000 credits per ton. Got my Carrier 4nm from the station, no shelids needed 792t per haul, the travel time from station to carrier was just 45 seconds! I hauled like a SOB lol. Now it's back to Jameson today for those sweet 50 million for 600-800t mining missions for those commodities. That's easily a half a billion credits in super easy missions when money starts to drop. If you use your carrier like a mobile store and stock up? You'll find missions everywhere where you don't need to look for the commodity, because you have your own supply bought at dirt cheap prices elsewhere. Tip for new players: The very first thing I did in this game, was start the grind for the Corvette and then the Cutter. Doing this at the very beginning nets you so much cash, you'll be able to afford any ship and outfit it by the time you finish them. Not to mention the valuable practice you'll get along the way regarding basically all types of gameplay. You could even do all the grinding for Corvette and Cutter in a Sidewinder doing the info missions, as each rank up mission only requires you to deliver 2t for that rank.
"You are gonna do what any Duke in the Imperial Navy would do. What Gutamaya knew, you would do. You are gonna buy it, because you can" -You are darn right!

Been looking forward to this one. This was the ship I set as a goal post I stead of the Conda. She was the undisputed king of the old CZs with maxed out burst lasers on turrets, and multis on everything else. I could hang out as long as I wanted (as long as I didn't need to refit for more multi ammo). Then I'd turn around and terrorize a Federal system by interdicting anything I could see, blow them up, take their stuff and move on to the next one. Didn't matter how many ships they had or how much damage they could dish out. She never lost. Still my flagship, even if she has been sidelined by more purpose-built ships, or ships that make the job more challenging or fun. Keep up the good work, and keep them coming!
God damn you, I started by seeing a review. Now I've seen them all. The way you do these reviews is epic. I am always amazed. What a good job you have done, congratulations Commander
The Pilot has stated in previous videos/comment sections that the Corvette will be last, and if the quality of this and his other videos are any indication then what a lovely swan song it shall be.
We all know what it will be about. The best damn combat ship in the game..... Could have 5 people attacking you and you’re just sitting there popping them off one at a time while listening to tiny Tim.
Your videos are too beautiful, even if you don't go into too much technical details you don't neglect what matters most and you also have a unique style.
once i hit the rank of duke i bought 3 at the best discounted station i could find at the time. thanks to the pilot and this video i keep watching over and over again, i stayed motivated enough to get that darn rank. now we need more ships so we can get more videos from the pilot hahaha
I have one of these that I use for trading and with those sleek lines and the clean, white paint job that comes as standard, I named mine The Saint Celestine, because this ship just looks so Angelic to me
Great video. I wanted to buy the Cutter because I was told "best mining hands down". I hated mining but it seemed the game pushes you that way so I knew I was going to have to learn to enjoy it. This ship did the trick, HUGE cargo, lots of power left over for weapons so when I get the "what do you have in your cargo hold" message I smile and say "come find out!". when I get missions I can say yes to everything.
What I love most about the ship is that it takes forever for people to kill it, and if a situation turns grim then the enemy will be coughing as I leave them in the dust. That speed is insane
With age comes wisdom and a yearning for comfort. In my youth I liked sports cars and trucks. Now that I'm old I prefer the comfort of a Cadilac, BMW etc etc etc. When I started ED I worked my ass off to get a Python. With it over the next couple of years earned enough experience and CR's to purchase not one but two Cutter's and a Corvette. A year lator they were all fully engineered. Having two cutters an vette and a python in addition to 4 billions of spendable cr's and nothing else to purchase. I no longer have to grind, I can do what ever when ever I wish with no regards to the cost. All my ships have load outs and enginereed for specific purposes. Depending on my play style any particular day. I simply use the appropreiate ship. Which is generally one of the cutter's. The only time I fly my Phthon anymore is when my org the AEDC requires work to be done in systems that don't include large landing pads.
The Cutter is certainly a great ship, and an excellent trader. However, it is one drifty boi and if you boost out of the station, you're almost guaranteed to collect someone on the way and very likely destroy them by accident XD
I bought my cutter and have zero regrets. Fully A rated with Prismatic Shields and it can still jump 30 ly because of engineering, and I don't use anything else for any reason when I'm in the bubble. Only exception is when I need to go to an outpost for whatever reason, in which case I just use my Python. This ship may not be the multi purpose monster that the Anaconda is, but being able to haul 700+ tonnes of cargo at once for Wing Missions can't be argued with.
"It's bold to assume that I use the same cutter every time" I know this was meant as a joke but wow. I have a cutter for mining and a cutter I use regularly. Now I feel like an asshole.

A robot arm malfunctioned during construction, leaving a panel loose on the inside, the arm was jettisonned from the airlock into the star and the panel is still loose.

The speed is perfect... No shields and all cargo 920 tons. And you dont have to worry about pirates because they cant catch you. I love this ship...
If you're like me, you smashed it to pieces across the back of the station the first time you flew it because you didn't realize it turns, and stops, like a freight train. I've learned no matter how early I started my powerslide to the mail slot, it wasn't early enough, lol
Greatest feeling ever mate.
Shit, dude. That gave me goosebumps. God's honest truth.
Id like a harem and butler on my ships, too.
Yeah, Saud Kruger is really missing a trick on this one. I'm way out on the galactic rim, and I have to go get my own coffee from the first class restaurant! The cheek of it all!
Buy Voice attack and a few HCS voicepacks, at least it will sound like you have a harem and a butler...

Love the vid! The Cutter is the ULTIMATE Combat Cargo Ship. It makes me smile loading up 600 units of cargo and shwacking anyone trying to pirate me, lol
I'm still trying to figure out how crazy I am that I currently use this thing to explore the galaxy.
Went to the core with mine, I loved it!
We salute you
A fine plan, I am also fully armed while doing it, it's Dangerous out there... o7
Absolutely love the vids mate... the music, the scenery, the reviews......... and I am greatly awaiting the corvette 🥃
Best ship for a space pirate
Your videos are not just a bunch of information, you tell the story of a thing and you tell it well to the point where you answer questions I didn’t even know I had it’s informative it’s Insightful unpredictable it’s freaking awesome and I love your work.
It's for BASKING!
Truth
On one of my very first voyages in ED I nearly crashed my Sidewinder against the station's hull as I saw one of these beauties come through the mailslot and
I imediatly fell in love with it!
The detailing is Pagani, Bugatti and I love it. There's no need to be so opulent. But why not.
Jeff Stewart I’ve had one rebuy in mine , a visit to achenar 3 with a full cargo hold for the shits and giggles 😂
I often let them interdict me. If they want to throw a few dozen million credits into the task of being in flight entertainment, it's all good to me.
07’s Cmdrs
i love my clipper but am having a hard time finding its role. what do you use yours for?
Damn, I keep coming back to this video again and again, it's so well executed. The opening sequence and the combat sequence are just perfection.
I came from his X4Raptor review. I stayed for his Cutter review. Poetry. This entire channel’s content is way classier than it has any right to be. And I love it.
I saw the 3d model of this ship and knew nothing of it or the game. But I said, I love this ship. So I looked it up and found this. This was amazing.
Well I wonder when they will release the imperial explorer.
sorry for the Necro, but yeah Imperial line definiately needs a medium ship. Maybe cross between Krait Phantom and Python. (also, we need a medium ship to fit inbetween the Dolphin and Orca too. Why doesn't the empire like "medium"? lol)
Now I have 3 Cutters. I have a spending problem...
Just got mine, finally, now I just have to grind a bit more to outfit it. I'm pumped. The grind took some of my life for sure
Seeing this video months ago made me buy the game. Today I unlocked mine. Thanks Commander o7
You can just hear Yamiks "basking" right now...
Almost looks like a White Star from Babylon 5 with the right color beam lasers.
"you going to buy it ... because you can", best part of the video.
That last shot combined with the quote is just too good! Keep it up :)
So. I binge watched all your videos, amazing quality that really do show the beauty in this game like never before. Subbed after just 3 videos as I now attempt to get back into this game I haven't touched since 2017. Keep up the good work mate amazing narration and the good odd joke is a recipe for success.
I'm making mine into the most obscene explorer ever conceived
"That they can pucker up and kiss your a-"
Don't know why this makes me laugh so much but it does
"You're going to buy it because you can". Bloody oath, I am.
"Turns like a city block"
Well at least it's not as bad as a Type-9 Heavy.
I love it because how elegant it looks. Every hard point is elegantly conceal in the sleek streamline design. Nothing quite like it. Gorgeous.
"You are gonna do what any Duke in the Imperial Navy would do. What Gutamaya knew, you would do. You are gonna buy it, because you can"
-You are darn right!
My cutter, is the Wallet Destroyer, with the tags NoCash... but I bought her before the mining boom... What's that wreck at 6:37?
Congratulations on unlocking it. Great video's, I'm exited to see what you'll do when you're done with the Corvette and any other pending ships.
i know i'm very late to the party, and i don't know if you still (or ever have) read your comments, but:
THIS IS THE MOST AMAZING REVIEW VIDEO I'VE EVER SEEN!!!!!
it's so effing gorgious!! thank you man. the editing of the combat scene.... boooooooooy. had the hardest goosepimples of my life :))))
i hope what ever you do right now you have a good time and are safe! thank you very much for the 8 minutes of pleasure...

This vid inspired me to finish the imperial grind during quarantine. Awesome vid man, loved it
God damn you, I started by seeing a review. Now I've seen them all. The way you do these reviews is epic. I am always amazed. What a good job you have done, congratulations Commander
Is the Fed Corvette coming next?
Yes please!!!
Now that ship is Beautiful!
@@Mr80Elky I still wana hear it. Tis be a sweet lullaby.
Why are these vids so good!!! They give me that warm feeling.
reason to buy:
-*it's fucking pretty*
-*wait you need more reasons?*
The Cutter is the best tradeship in the game. Every credit you spend into turning it into a trader , it gives right back.
7:25 - can confirm this is exactly the reason why I bought it, I have no practical use for it.
Its a better version of the type 9
i was auto docking and the classical music was playing over your drums in the combat sequences and it was sick af
It's a fucking space sword with anger
This beauty is what got me to finally set up my camera suite mappings.
I love your videos man.... great narration and somewhat inspired dialogue..... keep it up...please!
I have one of these that I use for trading and with those sleek lines and the clean, white paint job that comes as standard, I named mine The Saint Celestine, because this ship just looks so Angelic to me
What good editing and voiceover! hahaha and excellent conclusion! Amazing
Great hidden gem of a channel, glad it popped up in my recommendations.
That speed is insane
this one has been a long time coming. Great voiceover as always :)
This ship reminds me so so much of the White Star fomr Babylon 5
Always fantastic content! Keep up the good work!
As always an excellent vid sir! Love them
Absolutely love your clips!
I watched this video prob 5 times on my grind to getting one. Finally got one! Thanks for getting me through all those Robigo and Ngalinn runs
Best cargo hauler/blockade breaker/trade ship/mining ship/Powerplay ship in the game.
1:05 That looks very similar to the ship from the T.V. show “Babylon 5” called The WhiteStar but without the tail. Definitely inspired by it.
"Its bold to assume I use the same cutter everytime."
Are you trying to get me hot? 'Cause its working...
You can really feel the amount of effort that went into this video
"It's bold to assume that I use the same cutter every time"
I know this was meant as a joke but wow. I have a cutter for mining and a cutter I use regularly. Now I feel like an asshole.
I have a mining, a freighter, a combat, and a exploration cutter 😅
You are not an asshole
You are doing the cutter life right.
