- Great show! Alanis showing up was a huge treat. What a random night.
I don't own the rights to any of the material shown, please don't take it down :)
Am a 30 year old dude. Was hyping Olivia Rodrigo to my dude friends and kept comparing her to a gen z Alanis and god I’d love to see this live.
aw this is so cute
I'm 36 and first time I saw a video of olivia live I thought instantly about you outta know
Amazing dude.
Alanis is from GENERATION X she was born in 1974. Also she created songs to young people in 90's not people that was born in 90's. Alanis stay doing a great perfomance, she has the actitude, great artist and she is almost 50 years old. She really stole this show with her perfomance and power. Really a girl power. In 90's she didn't wear short skirt or looks like model, she was a hippie girl with a great talent.
🤌✨
Alanis still sounds like a fucking magical angel. You can’t get more iconic than her. Love this so much!
Finally. Something GenX, Milienials and Zoomers can agree on
Seeing Miss Olivia pay respect to the queen of rock and roll is very gratifying. I’m just liking her more and more!!
✨
I love Alanis, but the queen of rock and roll has to be Janis Joplin.
@@rebecca8525 I cannot deny that you are right :).
I personally love that Alanis writes so much of her own material and her songs cover such a wide range of the human condition.
@@rebecca8525Wasn't it Tina Turner?
Sorry. The Queen is Pat Benatar.
Alanis never had all girl band backup for her song live ever!.. this is the first time!
Okay?
She could have had if she wanted to. Maybe she doesn't care.
She said in the Jagged documentary she wanted an all guy band because she wouldn't be able to handle being on the road with a bunch of women. Just as long as the guys understand nothing romantic was going to happen.
That's sad. Glad it's finally happening now!
@@aaroncleveland7531 hahaha
Olivia's song "good 4 u" screams vibes of "You Oughta Know" in my opinion. I'm glad this duet happened!
@JLR definitely!
NO its paramore fool. she litterally has to pay royalites to paramore for that song. they admitted it was copy, Paramore has rights on the song... kid
No offense but Olivia is very far from what Alanis offered/offers to the world of music.
My first thought as well
Sorry but it screams Paramore’s Misery Business but slowed down. But I see what you mean. It’s a screw you to the guy for breaking their hearts.
This matches Olivia perfectly. Could see Alanis being her idol.
I remember when Alanis sang this with Taylor Swift on the 1989 tour. Not as many of the young fans were singing along as there are here. I wonder what changed? Whatever it is, I'm glad Alanis is getting the love she deserves.
I’m happy too! Gen Z is getting into Alanis, Fiona Apple, and Tori Amos and I couldn’t be any happier. I think You Oughtta Know being on Bridgerton might’ve also revived it a bit :)
Jagged Little Pill musical on broadway brought her music to a lot of the people i know :)
I think Olivia’s music reminds more of Alanis’ then Taylor’s music does, so I think there is a greater chance that more fans of Olivia’s know Alanis or just know her biggest songs
It's because it's music you oughta know
Olivia has mentioned Alanis several times as an inspiration and they both have a very cool interview where they interview each other. She's a legit fan, and I'm so happy cause people need to know Alanis!!! Both are queeeeens!
Classic song. This song will still sound great 30 years from now. The lyrics are insanely intense.
I can’t imagine i can’t believe Olivia sing with alanis they are so adorable and talented
I'm a 52yo guy. I bought Jagged Little Pill on cd after it's release and loved it. Olivia and Alanis are a good fit. This is a powerful performance and was GREAT fun to watch. Five star post. 👌👍👍👍
Olivia wasn't even born yet, when I saw Alanis perform for the first time at the Greek.
i need olivia to put out a solo cover of this because holy shit
STUDIO RECORDING NOW
Yes
OLIVIA ALWAYS UNDERSTANDS THE ASSIGNMENT
So cool to see them both on the stage in this tour. so perfect. There were too many little kids that wouldn't know this song but they still rocked on! The adults in the crowd were going crazy! love it
I hope she can do a duet also with Michele branch.,Sheryl crow,Ashlee Simpson.,Merideth brooks., and kt tunstall and stacie orrico
Seriously Olivia sounds really cool like it’s her own song! She killed it!
If I didn’t know any better, I’d assume Alanis was only big a few years ago, because she REALLY doesn’t sound like 20 years has gone by. She sounds almost identical to the original recording, which is something most people can’t pull off, especially after as long as its been for her.
In short, Alanis has hardly aged a day.
Estoy llorando :')
So young and she loves You Outta Know, 👏👏👏👏. And the crowd singing. That’s awesome.
Her utter admiration for Alanis makes my heart flutter ♥ ♥
FK I am loving these artists Olivia brings... FK she's an awesome girl! ❣️
Love the skirts she wears ❣️
This is fuckin incredible. Olivia major props to give kudos to those before you. Seriously, a fan (now).
We can see her love for Alanis.
Alanis is really a great and wonderful inspiration.
Are you kidding me? AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!
When Alanis appeared as god in Dogma my brain went: Yup, this makes absolue sense and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Amazingness that Alanis was there!
My Queen Alanis and that drummer is Lit!!! 🤘👏👏👏
I love it I'm gonna cry (actually crying) such legendary rockstars
Alanis 💚 🤩 👏👏👑
Alanis is such a goddess and Olivia's learning from the best! Love 'em both
That was really cool. Queen and the princess
That was epic! Alanis 👑forever. 💗
AHHH my show!! LA night 1😩🙌🏼 can’t believe I saw Liv and Alanis in 1 night
too underrated
That drummer killed it... He did Taylor Hawkins proud... 👍🏿👍🏿🤘🏿🤘🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
it's an all girl band actually
Well she fuckin killed it
She's great
Thank you for correcting me... SHE did Taylor Hawkins proud...
She's not bad technically but she killed the song, yes, in a bad way 😒
I'm glad this was on my UA-cam feed!
I didn't know I needed to see this but definitely glad I did!
I FREAKIN LOVE ALANIS MORRISETTE! TO SEE THE YOUNGER GENERATION SHOWING ALANIS LOVE IS DEFINITELY HEARTWARMING ☺️💞💕💞
#indigomoormars
Love Alanis!! 🤩🤩🤩
This song still rocks
Alanis te amo ❤️
Now that was Koool ! Two of my favorites!🙂❤️⭐️⭐️🔆 The band and that drummer killed it!🤘🙌🕊🦋🕊🥳
I always thought she has the same vibe as alanis!
this is absolutely everythingggggggg
This is great! My friends went crazy for this song first came out. Alanis was the goddess of scorned women. She's a legend.
Looking at the crowd, it's a damn shame that so many kids don't listen to music that came out before they were born (except the parents who took their kids for the gig). That stuff is what inspired modern artists anyway.
Lmao I was gonna go to her show alone but I realized I’d be the weird 30 year old dude at an Olivia Rodrigo concert. But damn would have lost it when alanis came out
@@jaredoconnor2287 I mean, I'm in my 30s, it's a good live show
I'm a Gen Z kid and I discovered Alanis Morressette on my own 🤭 It is truly a shame that many teens my age don't know who she is!!!
@@jaredoconnor2287 I was the weird 40 yr old guy that went alone to see Olivia perform in Phily. It was fine and had a wonderful time and I would do it again, though I would buy tickets earlier to get closer to the stage and save money.
Olivia es similar a Alanise , el álbum debut de ellas es icónico.
Mother/Daughter duet.
Literally dream come true here
i never knew i needed this until now!!! 😭🙌
Alanis 😍😍😍😍😍🇧🇷💟💟
Alanis returns....awesome.
That was AMAZING!
I’m grateful for this🤘🏼😆🤘🏼
QUE BUENAS BASES LAS TUYAS!! TU SÍ QUE TIENES BUEN GUSTO!
❤❤❤❤❤
Still my go to album
Alanisssss
👌🚀
Was this a surprise to the audience? So cool.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
🥰🥰
Epic
I’m really hoping someone uploads a better quality video of the performance. Where you can actually hear singing the verses. Not just the chorus
i was there front row pit in the center! it sounded amazing live but it was so loud with everyone singing, you can barely hear them singing in the videos i took.
@@andreagenesis5046 You’re lucky!! I really hope that Olivia comes to Australia!! I understand that it was very loud. When it comes to videos of concerts the audio is never gonna be that good.
Loved watching them hug at the end. Hot !
Im sure the parents went nuts when they saw Alanis there.
I’m not fan of Olivia but she sounds like gen x! Like she’s singing in 90s. So so cool!
What a coincidence, Olivia Rodrigo is the new Alanis Morissette
👍🙂
The audience in the back all stale. “We dont know who she is or the song”
chile everyone knows this song
Dude I would have died
I wanna know if this was rehearsed or was it 100% organic feminine energy? Anyways it was magic!
what have happened to that crowd?... who killed their spirit?
Olivia showing the spirit, love her
Imagine all the kids videoing their mom like omg look who is on stage with Olivia.
😂😂😂
my mom wouldv'e passed tf out🤣
And keys not forget it was Alanis who gave Tyler Hawkins his first big break.
2:23 I mean
This is the lane of Olivia should stick to. It would really set her apart from her peers plus her voice is amazing for it
Did she follow Taylor tactics for concert?
look at the audience when alanis song is playing the parents and the oldies singing along and the gen x all quiet lol
Gen X knows this song, maybe you meant to say another generation.
Olivia Rodrigo does seem comfortable with the song. something is off with of gestures voice body movement...
Idk if the lyrics are suitable for a teenage crowd lol
The instruments drown them out too much, hard to hear the vocals.
This is good but sorry to say it ,the drummer was overplaying
I only know this song cause beyonce sings it with if I were a boy
Hahaha, 2:57 there's a blond boy standing in the crowd with the face of "wth is that old lazy"? Gen z doesn't deserve Alanis!
Way to miss those snare hits in the chorus, Drummer… 🤦🏻♂️ otherwise great
Why is the drums so loud? Terrible sound technicians
wtf is Olivia wearing??
Incredible! The best part of this song was the beginning when Olivia wasn’t singing
I love Alannis Morrisette but this song disturbs me. Sounds like a woman thats obsessed with a guy who doesnt give a damn and he left quite awhile ago. Theres too much of that stuff going on!
Nah man, it’s not an obsessed person. It’s the anger that comes out of a heartbreak. You can sit here and tell me you’ve never been angry after a breakup
@@isabellerosario9208 You know, I didn't take time to type this, but, yes it's true! I've been angry and felt crazy, but after I had enough therapy, I was able to learn that society tends to EXPECT women to stick around, and carry the weight of the relationship. Eventually it falls apart. Sometimes gradually, but many times, the red flags were there earlier. When a guy just quickly drops you and jumps in with another woman, he WASNT really connected in the first place, except during sex. There's a great book called " Men Who Can't Love". Very helpful.
@@jazzsoul1695 Alanis continuing to play this song doesn’t mean she’s still stuck on that relationship. On one performance she said “This isn’t easy when you’re not angry anymore”. There will always be people that can relate though, so the song continues.
